What a random Place! I walk up 2^nd street fairly often on my way to Downtown Upland, and I have passed by the Thrift Store sign many times, but I wasn’t sure where it was so I just skipped it. But I do have a place in my heart for thrift stores, so today I built up the courage to find it. There is a giant arrow pointing to the entrance, if you look close enough. Easier than it seems.
As I walked up the ramp, the guy sitting at the table greeted me and told me that I was at the right place. But I didn’t really see much besides car parts and such. I continued, and he told me that clothes were in the back, and jelwelry was right at the counter.
This place is huge! It is probably more convenient for those of you who need car parts, but it is a neat thrift shop too. They had a pretty nice selection of odds and ends (my favorite), and I ended up leaving with only a shirt but I hope to go back because I did see many other things that caught my eye. There were a lot of shoes and quite a few bags, and plenty of Jewelry. I looked at the silver rings which he priced by the gram, they were all very reasonable.
There was also a very cool old car next to the clothes, I’m not sure what the story is there but I will make sure to ask the next time I go in.
When I went to pay for my shirt, I ended up talking to the guy for about 10 minutes! He was so friendly and gave good advice, he made me rethink getting a tattoo (oh, how my parents will love that). I always admire friendly people who are easy to talk to and willing to share their story.
Anyways, I left happily with a shirt that I paid two dollars for, what a deal.
