Wetzel’s Pretzels

Came in for a snack before catching a movie. Everything on the menu has prices under $ 5…I think I can do this. Behind the steaming glass counter I see cups filled with what looked like tiny piggy in a blankets (small hot dogs baked inside dough).
So I approach a gentleman at he counter and ordered, by pointing at the cup filled with a few tiny wetzel dogs. :
WETZEL DOG (small bites) — $ 6
Fresh baked pretzel wrapped around an all-​beef hot dog
«What drink would you like?»
«Oh, it comes with a drink?»
«For a dollar more, yes.»
Haha, okay he tried to trick me into BUYING a drink by making me think it comes with one.
«No thank you.»
«What dip would you like?»
Glancing at the options, I decided on the JALAPENO CHEESE SAUCE.
«Your total is «$ 7.09»
After paying him and leaving I realised «Wait, he tricked me into BUYING sauce too!!!»
I didnt see anything that was over $ 5 on that menu, so I knew it was extra for the sauce. I look at my receipt:
WETZEL DOG — $ 6
JALAPENO CHEESE DIP — $ 1.09
Grrrr…They didn’t even show anywhere in the shop the price of the wetzel dog!
Anywho, whatever, I’m sure they were trained to do this and I“m sure many people were «tricked» into uying a drink and dipping sauce too.
Honestly, the wetzel dog was yummy. How it looked made me giggle like a little school girl but they were tasty – warm, slightly flakey and crispy dough and the hot dog was salty enough for my liking. The sauce wasn’t great. It tasted fake and is not needed.
Aaaaaand…that was that!

Cinnamon Pretzel = my fave and only thing I ever order.
The two stars is for the service. The employees were very brief and seemed as if they didn’t want to be there and take our orders. There weren’t any lines, my sister and I were the only ones inside. Its not a hassle to simply make One order! You can continue the conversation after you make the pretzel in one minute and we’ll be on our way.

I understand that it is the slow season for the park, and they won’t have as many pretzels available. But the plain pretzels we purchased are stale and burnt. And the lemonade we purchased was spoiled. You can taste it! My bf loves this place but were not coming back to this location… Gross

I can’t help it — this place is almost like the smell of Hollister at the mall — you gotta stop in and get at least a whiff!
I always order the jalapeño pretzel with the most awesome cheddar cheese… mmmmm … dang it… now I’m hungry.

They have jalapeño… to cinnamon sugar.
They also sell pretzel wrapped hot dogs.
This location never seems crowded. Simple in and out to satisfy that craving.
