I took my Ford F250 to this shop for an estimate. They told me it would be approximately $ 2000 to rebuild it and that I’d need to sign stating I would pay the $ 400 tear down fee no matter what the outcome. I signed, they tore down my transmission, then said «oops this was a different tranny than we thought so now it will be $ 4300.» At that time I asked since it was THEIR mistake if they’d waive at least part of the tear down fee and they would not. I will pay more to someone else rather than take something back to them.
