I attended the 2015NY Open Taekwondo Championships and Korean Cultural Festival at the Butler Building in October 17, 2015. What a great venue that I never knew even existed. It is a multi use indoor facility used for soccer and lacrosse but it was perfect for this tournament and cultural event. One of the best features of all-great parking.

Ugh. This field is difficult to get to. There are no clear signs indicating where to turn once you are on the one way road towards the complex and whatever you do, do not plug the address into your GPS because it will take you past the correct entrance into the baseball fields and you will find yourself driving around in circles testing out every possible entrance until you find the right once, causing you to miss the first two innings of the game you are trying to watch. The baseball field is set up so poorly as it is on top of the football field. I guess I could say the football field is set up poorly as it’s on top of the baseball field, nevertheless, every foul ball that was hit and went behind the backstop went onto the bleachers at the football game and the football fans were VERY annoyed. It got to the point that the fans were so annoyed that they had to be on the constant look out for foul balls that they started stealing them from us. It was very annoying. Bring a fold up chair if you are watching the baseball game because the little bleachers are not set up in an area that allow for you to pick the side you want to root for. Usually, I don’t enjoy siting next to our rivals fans and that would be the case here. The dugouts, however, are HUGE and pretty nice. There are a few steps down and then a really nice large space. The condition of the field wasn’t bad but the bathrooms weren’t great. Parking was tough as the lot was being shared with both football and baseball.
