Beautiful winery with a friendly and helpful staff. The wine tasting was pleasant and low key. The new tasting room was large and the selection was vast for a small vineyard. The owners were also kind enough to let us explore the farm. Natural and beautiful. We recommend for a peaceful afternoon.

Their new tasting room is lovely; wines delicious. I was fairly unhappy when my puppy stumbled upon their electrified fence even though a worker was nearby and only mentioned it after he heard her Unilocaling.

Wonderful wines, very nice owners! They have a new tasting room that is beautiful. You are welcome to walk the grounds, it was harvest day when we were there so it was neat to see the grapes picked and crushed.

This is a fun stop on the maine win trail and they are a part of the maine wine guild. My first trip there it was a lovely experience, with explainations about the wine and oppurutnity to look at all their entertaing wine merchandise and learn about their wine making process. The wines were a broad spectum of selections, something for every wine snob. I was disappointed during my recent visit. There was a concert going on and the place was packed. The tasting room was very hot and so crowded you could barely move. The tasting was rushed and they were out of about half of their wine list. Make sure to go on a day when you can explore the farm and enjoy your time there.

What a treat to find this winery on a «fooling around» wine trip(as opposed to the wine«hunts» we usually take). Every wine we tried was good and we purchased our very favorite-Entwined – because we were traveling light and had a return flight within 48 hours. Here’s a suggestion: Go on a «tasting» tour: Sweetgrass Winery, Savage Oaks Winery and Fiore to taste vinegars and oils – a great day in the great State of Maine!

We stopped in for a tour and tasting during a road trip up the coast. The vineyard and farm are family owned and operated, which shows in the best way possible. Everyone we met was extremely kind and down to earth. They really take the time to answer any questions you may have. The product is delicious too! We will be back again for sure!

Every wine was delicious, reasonable price for a good tasting flight. Try the blueberry wine, very complex pretty much like wine made with grapes. The owner was very friendly and the tasting itself was a great experience. You definitely should visit this winery when traveling up the coast road in Maine!

Surprisingly good wine. In a bucolic setting. I don’t like fruit wines as a rule but the blueberry wine here is quite nuanced and tasty.

What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. Small, unpretentious tasting room with more varieties to taste than we expected. Love that they grow their own grapes right here in Maine. Wines were good and reasonably priced. A walk through the vineyard was a nice addition to the tasting. We especially loved being greeted by the owner’s sweet black Lab. We will be back again.

A nice, quaint place situated on a rural road. The tasting room is standalone and small(not a bad thing). The older women serving us provided quick service to a full bar of tasters and was unimposing. The wines are high quality and fairly priced. I do wish the tasting included the glass or that the tasting glass was cheaper to purchase. They also sell gifts and meats in the tasting room.

Very nice farm and tasting room. Nice pleasant walk through the fields, wild blueberries growing, Galloway cows in pasture and chickens scurrying around. Wines are excellent and one of few in Maine that grow nearly all of their own grapes. Very friendly greeting from the resident black lab and the tasting room lady is very kind and knowledgeable. They also offer pork sausage and bacon from their farm and eggs too! Yum!

Three weeks after visiting I am sitting here sipping a glass of Georges River white wine. I think that one star review is a bit harsh. This place may not be as built up as some of the other wineries in the area, but they are also new, give them some time. I can’t speak for the meat as we were traveling and still had five days left, so didn’t want to buy any. I also can’t speak for the farm as we were in a bit of a rush and just did the tasting. We were also greeted by the sweet black dog when we arrived. When we entered the small building where they have the tastings it was empty but one of the owners quickly arrived. We sampled 6 – 8 wines and they were better than I expected. The owner explained each wine thoroughly as well as the origin of the names for some of them. In addition to wine they also sell wine related items, t-shirts, magnets, corkscrews, etc. We left with a few bottles wine, and some trinkets bought for Christmas gifts.

Went out of our way to get here and were disappointed in their supply. They had very little in what I was looking for, the place was deserted when we got there. We also saw they sold meats so we bought some bacon… UGH… don’t think they realized it had gone rancid. and was green once we thawed it out. Wouldn’t recommend their place for the frozen meats, however, the wine seem ok even though their variety was limited. Felt a bit like we wasted our time coming here.

Teaming up with another local winery and handful of local cheese purveyors(be sure to check out Wholesome Homestead and State of Maine Cheese Company), Savage Oakes Vineyard & Winery offered up samples of their delightful wines and fantastic-farm raised sausage on Father’s Day. Nestled on the side of a hill in picturesque Union this vineyard has managed to eek out some excellent fruit from the unforgiving soil and short growing season. We sampled several white and blush wines(perfect with Lobster!), one of which was blended with blueberry juice, and a variety of tasty reds(Barn Red was particularly nice). Of course, I’m a sucker for Port, so the Nor’Easter was my favorite. A perfect way to end any meal. But don’t forget about their home-grown sausage and beef! The sausage was absolutely incredible, especially the hot-Italian variety. Loved the garlic flavor as well. The farm is beautiful and you can even meet some of the future meat(the swine are very friendly, though the belted Galloways are rather skittish) and a short walk will bring you to the vineyard. Truly a lovely place to spend a summer afternoon in Maine!
