Good sub! The meat is definitely much more than subway. Next time I should try their honey roast turkey!

Once you have a Mr Sub sandwich you it’s over. Nothing stacks up against it. Weather it’s a warm sandwich or a cold sandwich you won’t be disappointed. The bread is, for me, the best part. Very soft but crusty. Their home made pickles are the best. The lettuce is always shredded really thin which I love. They are well known in NJ and rightfully so.

Great portions and awesome customer service. They REALLY stack the meat on their subs. They’ve got a great reputation in Union. Highly recommended for anyone really looking for a great sandwich.

First Time here and will be back. Great bread, fresh meats and toppings. I had a ½ of The Mr Sub, corned beef, turkey, Virginia ham, roast beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Russian dressing. Prices very reasonable. Service very friendly and professional.

Recently I ordered three platters of a variety of subs for an event in Union. I also had the opportunity of having their Tuna Sub, which is outstanding. All the subs went and everyone complimented the business. Mr. Sub in Union has a great reputation in and out of town. Best subs!

Great sandwiches begin with great bread. There’s is not bad at all, crusty. The cold cuts are fresh and there is a wide selection. We had the #68 Italian style. I especially liked the flavor of the sweet peppers. Well done. I think it would serve them well if they delivered, and accepted credit cards.

The best deli in union county. Their sandwiches are awesome and they are fast. The only reason this place is not getting 5 stars is because they are cash only

So this place isn’t that bad I live right around the corner so I get my sandwiches from there I like it because it’s nice and fresh and their quick the reason why they don’t get five stars is that sometimes when I call I just feel like I’m bothering them but other than that their food is always delicious.

Got there at 12:30pm today and there were 10 people ahead of me. Having been there before, I knew to order a «Half». Ordered a «Half Mr. Sub» which I had never had before. Enjoyed the Sub on a picnic bench in a park on Union Ave near where I grew up. Great memories. Anyway, service was efficient and coridal. Sub was phenomenal, ALMOST as good as the one I got from the White House in Atlantic City. and that says A LOT!

By far the best sub shop I’ve ever been too. I work right down the street and I’m here almost every day. Their subs are hands down the best in the world. If you live in the area or visit the area I suggest you come here!

I entered Mr. Sub on a tuesday afternoon, I was so excited based on the many wonderful reviews. I was the only customer there, I was so over whelmed by the extensive menu. I got a whole sandwich and I must agree with all the other reviews. They put a whole lot of meat on those bad boys and they aren’t shy with giving portions. I just felt that if the owner was a bit friendlier it would add to the whole experience of getting such an amazing sandwich from Mr.Sub. I am definitely coming back for the sandwiches.

This place is banging. Classic Jersey sub joint. No frills, just plain white tables. Tons of delicious sub combos on the menu. I got the«Mr Sub», which was outrageously good. It had so many kinds of deli meats that I don’t even remember. I got it with the Russian instead of the Mayo. They also offer all subs on white, whole wheat or platter style. I got a half sandwich. It was HUGE and very inexpensive and extremely delicious. My girl got a hot chicken cutlet sammy, which sadly, was microwaved. From witnessing that alone, I would stick to cold sandwiches here. I’m very anti-microwave.

While doing some errands out in the ‘burbs, Mr Sub popped up on Unilocal as a place for a quick and affordable lunch. Since a few of my fave Unilocalers gave this spot 2 thumbs, here I am! The place is a hole-in-the-wall spot that seems like it’s been around forever. With a small line at 2:30PM on a Saturday, I was getting amped. I couldn’t decide from their pretty extensive menu, so the man went with the belly buster(a cold cut concoction topped with a whole mess of deli meats) and I went with a chicken cutlet with fresh mutz and the works(served hot). Lesson 1) I’d definitely say stick to the fresh cold cuts vs. the microwaved chicken cutlet. The chicken was really good, but nothing that really stood out. I actually think if I were to do this whole thing again, I’d order the chicken cutlet, but ask it to be served cold. The cold cuts are where it’s at: Meaty, freshly cut, topped with fresh cold toppings; very nice. Lesson 2) Bring cash. Lesson 3) The guy isn’t as horrible as described in said reviews. You’re not going to get smiles or any conversation, but I never feared for my life. Lesson 4) The sammies are pretty damn cheap. A half sub ringing at $ 5 – 7 and had to be close to 8 – 10 inches. Order the whole at your own risk. Overall, this sandwich spots serves up great value for really solid sandwiches. A few things I also appreciated: a nice baked chips selection and they offer whole wheat rolls. I can definitely see why this spot’s a Union County gem. I don’t necessarily think you need to travel far and wide for it since you can pretty much find a delicious sandwich in NJ on every other block, but if you’re in the ‘hood and needing a cheap, delicious and filling lunch, yeppppppppp.

The owner should be named The Sub Nazi! He’s actually a lot nicer then he seems, no need to be scared. I’ve been going to there for over 20 yrs. and Mr. Sub makes the BESTSUBS! Everything is fresh and made to order, NEVER pre-sliced(like everyone else). Just an FYI… The girl who puts the toppings on doesn’t understand the word«extra». I ask for extra onions EVERY time and she NEVER does it. Hopefully the Sub Nazi will replace her soon. :-)
