So good! If you like fresh Mexican food and good drinks, this is the place. They often have good specials. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. I highly recommend to anyone. It’s the best Mexican place in town!

Nicest bartender/​server ever! I stopped in this afternoon for a quick plate of tacos. Had the dog in the Jeep so I was going to eat at the bar so I could see him, my the bartender (wish I would have gotten her name!) took my drink order and when it asked if she would fill a cup I had in the car for my dog,?she told me I could sit on the patio with him in on a leash (which he was!) there (was no one sitting outside at the time. I thanked her and went to get Louie, when we got back to the table she had a big bowl of ice water for him!!! He drank it up and laid down in the shade ! Thanks for being so nice and thoughtful!

Best margaritas in town. Got to try the shrimp cocktail is a absolute prerequisite everything else that is also great. I’m from California so I know these things

We love this place! Admittedly not the finest example of the cuisine but the great staff, bogo margaritas on Mondays (delicious) and the warm chips and delicious salsa make it one of the best!

Ate there last night. Have eaten several times before when we’re in the area. We had to wait to be seated and they weren’t too busy. The waitress took us to a booth that needed to be cleaned which took several minutes. We thought she went to get a towel to wipe off the table and minutes later she was coming out of the kitchen with other customers food. Another server cleaned the table so we could sit down. The chips and salsa are good. We had to ask for utensils several times. The food came out fairly fast but the plates were just barely warm including my fajitas. My husband’s tacos were lightly warm. The beans/​rice were good. Not as good as in the past. We won’t be returning.

Good food nice staff reasonable prices.

We came here for an early dinner since we didn’t want to get stuck in St. Louis traffic back to Chicago.
I would say 3 – 3.5 stars. My guy says 3.5−4 stars, so I’ll go with 4 stars.
Service was okay for the most part. He did forget my guys tortillas and since he never came to check on us til later when my guy was almost done with his meal. My guy mentioned about his tortillas and he apologized and brought them out.
My guy had a steak with mushroom and cheese sauce. He liked this sauce quite a bit. I thought it wasn’t bad, but the steak was too well done for me. They didn’t even ask him how he wanted it cook.
I got the street tacos and it came with 1 fish taco, 1 steak, 1 chicken and 1 carnitas tacos. I only ate the fish taco and thought it was good. The salsa that comes with it is hot. I took the rest to go, but I thought the meats were seasoned good, but I was not fond of the tortilla.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant but the service is slipping. One of our usual waiters now seems distracted and isn’t the cheerful, attentive waiter we remember. We ate there a couple of Sundays back and service was lousy. My husband’s chicken was a little bit burnt. We are going to take a break for awhile.

Must say– a surprise in this area. Bright– cheery. Great simple Mexican food. Very nice staff. Families abound! Very good value. I’ll be back.

Bad service. Good food usually. Restaurant half empty. Seated within a couple minutes. Waited 15 minutes. No visit from a server, no chips or drinks. Got up, put on our coats and walked out.

I tried this place because, frankly, there isn’t a big choice in Union. I read the reviews on Unilocal first, which helped me decide to go there. As people have mentioned, it can be a chore to find the place — but it’s worth looking for. One of the reviewers mentioned the veggie Fajitas, which I wasn’t crazy about trying, but since I just started my low carb diet, I figured I could eat the veggies without need of any tortillas. They were excellent flavor — good recommendation. People were very friendly and very attentive. Overall, a great experience. Prices very reasonable. BTW, to get there, you have to turn South at the light by the Walmart, then onto a side street that is actually NOT Hwy 50.

Absolutely delicious.. Huge portions and friendly staff! ! Its kinda hard to find, but delicious!
