It’s crazy I come here so much I took a break I came back they remember me lol. Love the customer service. The guy with the braces nd the girl with the short hair cut are the nicest.

So many flavors and they choose salty…
I got the ground beef tacos and steak tacos with a side of guacamole and chips. I couldn’t taste anything cause there was so much salt on EVERYTHING. Under all the salt I can tell the ground beef and steak have potential but for now I will have to pass on this place until they can dial down the salt.

After reading all the reviews I thought I’d try this place out… HORRIBLE IDEA! The chicken was way to salty! Horrible quality chicken! I Will not ever eat here again!

First timer here!!! Let’s start from the beginning shall we. Extremely friendly service hands down. As soon as I walked in the door I heard «Hey welcome to Cuencos» that but a smile on my face! Now to the good part, I ordered soft chicken tacos (American way) some pinto beans, chicken, pico de gallo, sour cream, hot sauce, and guaca. Not so different then the others even with prices $ 9. I’m giving it 4 star solely on the service the food was eh nothing big small menu nothing out of the ordinary.

Location: Wish it was a better spot off rt 22.
Prices: Fair. Got everything in my bowl $ 9.75
Food: Everything you would expect, but I found something to be salty in the bowl I ordered. Couldn’t pin point it, but not a bad.

Cinco de Mayo? Nope – NUEVE de Mayo! The employees posted up a bunch of flyers on the door and windows that show an extension to their «$ 5 Everything» special; it’s good until today – May 9. It’s a great deal to take advantage of.
The place opened up a few months ago so it’s still looking for a solid customer base. If you’re familiar with the ideas of Chipotle, Freebirds, or Qdoba, the idea here is the same thing. Here’s everything I remember seeing on their menu and on display.
Item: Bowl, burrito, taco, or quesdailla
Rice: White or brown
Beans: Black or pinto
Meat: Ground beef, chicken, steak, or vegetable with guacamole
Salsa: Mild, medium, and hot
Other ingredients: Peppers and onions, melted queso (addl. charge), sour cream, guacamole (addl. charge), lettuce, shredded cheese, and corn
You aren’t charged for what meal you choose; rather, you’re charged for the type of meat ($ 6.50 to $ 7.50 with chicken being the cheapest), for the additional guacamole or melted queso, and for your drinks. Price wise, they’re competitive with the major «build your own» kind of Mexican restaurants. The employees here are also friendlier.
As far as taste is concerned, I got a chicken burrito on a wheat tortilla with brown rice, hot salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and melted cheese. The new guy being trained did a great job and stuffed my burrito well. The hot salsa wasn’t that spicy – tastes more like hot wing sauce. The chicken was tender and somewhat flavorful since it was cooked in its own sauce; all the other ingredients blended well. The burritos here definitely filled a craving. I haven’t eaten a burrito since moving to New Jersey, so this is a welcoming sight. The burritos are shorter but stuffed well. Like similar places, it’s not exactly a «Mexican» restaurant but it works for me.
Just note that the location will be on your right side – a hundred yards or so from Hillside – and shares a small parking lot with a Verizon branch. There are a few tables for you to eat at. Overall, I’ll give this place a solid 3.5÷5.

Wedding diet so I couldn’t get the works (cheese, sour cream, corn…). Food was very good and the service was very friendly … Utensils included (lol)

Its really good and closer than chipotle. i like that the taxnis already included. only thing is that it is small and the bowl lids arent secure..

I just left this place and I am quite impressed! The service was awesome and it smelled marvelous in there. The food is great! Very fresh!!! I will definitely be back and I recommend this place to all!

Stopped in after passing by a few times and receiving a flyer at my door. Nice create your own then sit down and eat in place, think Chipotle but made very fresh before your eyes. I had steak soft tacos and my wife had chicken quesadillas both very good! Staff is all smiles and very friendly! Will be back again soon.

A taco and burrito place. Just opened this week of 12 15 2014.
They also have quesadilla’s and bowls. Quality, freshness and taste are far above others. Location is a little tough off rt 22 but the food is worth the effort trying to get to it.
The menu right now is a little sparse and needs expansion.
If I’m in the area, it’s a definite stop for me.
