Horrible costumer service. If they mess up your order, just accept it because they won’t honor anything. I hate it when a business customer service is horrible because it is all on the business if you enjoy your night and I did not enjoy it. Neve again. Save yourself and order something else. Thanks for reading this review.

Food is super delicious and well seasoned. The portions are great sizes and will definitely fill you up. Unfortunately, the wait is super long-delivery and pick up. Other than that I loved ordering food.

Food is good here but what’s up with the business not accepting credit cards over the phone… I was told it is too time consuming… it’s 2015 not everyone has cash on them all the time smh. The delivery guy had a nasty attitude too! Get it together!

Food here is always good, grilled chicken and ribs combo are the best. Perfectly grilled and cook using charcoal. I had food here several times, and i always pick up to go. Today i finally had chance to try to dine here to see how they serve in regular table and to experience whats going on inside in regular operation. FOOD: cant complaint it amazing, i had chicken and ribs combo served with yellow rice and fries, and my wife had steak sandwich. Big serving and for the and fries its worth it. SERVICE: Very poor, the cashier was very nice and polite. The server not good, she didn’t even check our table to know if everything is okay, she need to smile and need to know how talk in a polite and proper way. CLEANLINESS: Dirty bathroom and dirty floors. No waiting area for guest that picking up orders, some of them are standing around while the guest are having meals. I would definitely coming back not to dine but to pick up food to go. Over all: Cashier lady was very nice and excellent food.

I Often visit Burnet BBQ with my family as we really enjoy their chicken sandwiches and my wife is very particular about what Portuguese restaurants we eat at, perhaps it’s because she’s Portuguese. Well tonight was just terrible, not the food but the service. The restaurant closes at 10 and we placed a pick up order around 8:45 and arrived shortly after 9. Initially we thought we’d take our order to go then decided to stay in because by now it’s way past our dinner time and we live out of town. There were about 10 other guests waiting for food but know one appeared to be dining in. Our food was ready when we arrived and my wife decided to place another small order. So we paid and I decided to sit down and I began to eat my chicken sandwich. Our total was about $ 35. As I take the first bit into my chicken sandwich I hear someone from behind the counter say in a very agitated tone that we’re not allowed to dine in because we asked for our food to go and she literally told us we had to leave meanwhile we were still waiting for the rest of our order and I’d already began eating. This was incredibly upsetting, embarrassing and offensive had we not have already paid we would’ve just walked out. The other patrons looked around in surprise while my wife defensively responds with an «excuse me?» The woman continued to repeat herself and said it was the«owners» policy and not her own, which is something I doubt as I’ve done a bit of research about the owner, Carlos, and from what I’ve read he’s very keen on customer service. It was well before closing time, plenty of tables and seating and other people in the restaurant. I continued to eat my food because I’d already started and my wife lost her appetite and was visibly upset. We have other friends and family that visit the restaurant and we’ll encourage them to not go back unless the old woman with the red hair isn’t there. We caught her name on the way out and I believe it’s Isabelle. She continued to give us dirty looks until we left. One of the worst and most offensive dining experiences we’ve ever had. This was my first Unilocal review in disappointed that it had to be a negative one against a place that has a decent chicken sandwich. A sandwich is definitely not worth a confrontation of this kind nor my families embarrassment. Never again.

Don’t order food oh the phone they always seem to get my order wrong then rather than apologize and then taking the food back they just want to argue with you over the phone that’s it’s our fault that we know that we didn’t order it right hello wake up

Meals cost like $ 13 and will give you enough food to last you for two days. Everything is delicious and worth the wait(Burnet BBQ is always crowded, and delivery isn’t the quickest). I love this place so much that I would have my wedding reception here, but I feel like if I ever told that to a girl I was intending to marry, the chance of the wedding actually occurring would drop dramatically.

I love this place… been eating here since I was a child and will never miss any chance to grab something quickly whenever I’m in Union. The garlic shrimp is my favorite choice there, then the Bbq chicken.

I went this week and the place was freezing and dirty, rice and fries where on the floor. I ordered a full order of ribs and chicken to eat there and the plate was overflowing. I mean if you guys are going to be generous on the portions great! But then get bigger plates. I don’t want half of my food on my table. I don’t think I’ll go back again, I don’t recommend it to anybody.

Ok… Eating«Portuguese» BBQ have always been exasperating to me. And I have long stopped dining at places of the like because of it. I only quoted Portuguese because I’m not certain if these BBQ establishments truly reflect that culture’s cuisine. French fries, dry over-grilled chicken, yellow rice… It’s all pretty much redundant. But I digress, now that you all know my disdain for these types of restaurants you’re probably wondering«well why the hell did you bother to go»? In my defense, it was a treat. And personally, I do not turn down free food lol. But no, seriously guys. I had the garlic shrimp. The shrimps were well cooked and wasn’t overpowered by the garlic sauce. Thumbs up. It came with nicely portioned potatoes, yellow rice and cabbage. All of which were bland. Hence, my rating(it wasn’t biased, I swear!)

Been a loyal customer at Burnett BBQ for 15 years and never left disappointed. They practically know my order, which makes me smile more. The portions are huge, but generous and savory. As long as they keep making good Portuguese BBQ, I’ll keep on coming here! Obrigado Burnett BBQ! :)

The amount of food that you receive here is amazing. I have been coming here for years and they never fail with taste. The ribs and chicken combo gives you the best of both worlds. Second to the meats come the cabbage and rice wihich i love and the fries with you can’t go wrong with. Needless to say, as long as the place stays open and respects customers, everypne should stop by.

I normally order from the one on Burnett Ave because they were the original store and for whatever reason their food tastes better. Today, I wanted my food fast and the one on Stuyvesant is only a 7 minute drive from my house. Everything was fine while ordering and my food did get here relatively quickly but my fries were cold and mushy and they didn’t have my drink. When I told the driver he gave me a sort of blasé attitude and told me that he would return. Half an hour later he still hadnt. When I called the store the woman told me he hasn’t returned yet and when he did they will bring my drink… I’m so thirsty and the food wasn’t as good as the one on Burnett

Burnet is a quaint little dine in/take out restaurant located on Stuyvesant Ave in Union, NJ. The food is good and the owners/staff are very polite. You can either dine in or take out. They have a few tables and chairs. I have had the beef ribs, pork ribs and chicken. You do get a lot of food for the price which is very, very reasonable. When driving by the aroma from the wood fire grill cooking those meats are so delicious. I would definitely go there again. Its also a great idea to call ahead and place your order as sometimes it’s a little wait time.

I was expecting take out in a styrofoam box, but instead, I received a 13×9 aluminum pan filled with food. What did I get myself into?! Combo Chicken and Pork Ribs with Fries and Rice($ 14): Is this the Portuguese response to Latin American cuisine portions? The serving is ridiculous — I’m a pretty tall guy with a huge appetite but I had leftovers for five days! This *full* combo comes with ½ of a whole barbequed chicken, four pretty long ribs and the equivalent of two cups of rice and fries; note that you could also opt for vegetables and beans or whatever combination of sides you would like. Taste wise, the chicken was seasoned well and had a light saltiness to the crispy skin. It was cooked well, with the meat coming right off the bone. The chicken was delicious and was probably my favorite meat of the combo. On the other hand, the ribs were a disappointment. Yes, they were grilled but that was really it. I tasted char and smokey meat; there was no seasoning whatsoever. Also, the ribs were not as tender as the chicken was. Some people like their meat like that, but I am – unfortunately — not one of those people. The rice was no big deal but was tasty; it was yellow and had a slight buttery flavor to it. Fries are fries; however, for some odd reason, the soggier the fries, the more I liked them. I don’t know… that’s just me, though. You could get the same thing with only two ribs for $ 8.50, which is still an awesome deal. Burnet #2 also sells grilled and boiled fish, clams, sausage, steak, various pork dishes, sandwiches, salads, and a few desserts. For a small place on the side of the road, they’re churning out huge portions, at least when it comes to take out barbeque.

Horrible horrible horrible! I had the shrimp in garlic. The garlic sauce was so hot that I couldn’t eat it. They had to have given me hot sauce instead of garlic, when I questioned it their response was thats what they consider garlic sauce. And to top it off there was not one single piece of garlic in the sauce. In fact they really dont even deserve 1 star. Also got a piece of cheesecake, but im afraid to even attempt to eat it.

I ordered the chicken and ribs. As soon as I saw the huge plate of food I knew I was in trouble. The chicken was cooked well and the ribs were tasty. They had some great hotsauce to go with the food. The beans were pretty awesome as well. I skipped the rice. All and all I would love to come back and try some other things on their menu. Oh ya, I ordered their small salad and it was a great big size and light and tasty.

If ever there was a way to lose a customer it would be to make her wait 75 minutes only for the driver to call, reconfirm her address, and then tell her he doesn’t deliver that far. What he didn’t know is they’ve delivered here several times over the last three years but he just sounded so ridiculous, I didn’t even bother arguing. I’d rather just keep my money. So yeah, they may have good food but the service is less than desirable. Three good years down the drain just like that… c’est la vie!
