I bought Thomas’ English muffins here on January 22nd, The best is used by date was January 30th. On February 1st they were green molded. I buy these muffins frequently and know that this should not have happened this soon. I brought them back on February 2nd. The girl by the counter would not give me a refund. She referred me to a sign posted that read to get a refund perishables must be returned within three days and non-perishables within seven days. She called another girl over and when I explained to her that this should not have happened she refused to give me a refund. She said to read the sign and then said since the best if used by date was January 30th what did I expect. She said that I should have eaten them by now. When I said they should not have been green molded by now, she ignored me. I told her that I was sure that others with that date would not be, she went with me to the English Muffin counter. Those muffins had best if used by February 7th. She said that they don’t keep stale bread. She wouldn’t even give me another English Muffin pack. I told her that I wouldn’t be buying anymore bread in this store and would tell others what happened. She just walked away. I live nearby and had been shopping there. Now, I would not shop in that store unless i was in dire need. I wondered why the store in Roselle, NJ closed and why this store is usually not busy. Now I know why. They have nasty employees!

Please be careful while shopping here please check all produce for freshness, please check all the dates on your items beware when buying fish make sure the price posted is what your paying. Went there to buy fish the guy stated that if I only wanted half the fish it would be a dollar more per pound. That’s absurd to even fathom. I have family members that manage the corporate office of an international supermarket and asked them about this so called policy. They laughed and stated that is ludicrous… Buyers please shop smart and pay attention they have great international selection but aren’t the only ones around.

I come here for the portugese egg tarts at the bakery counter and lotto tickets whenever the jackpot is over 100 million bucks. I do not grocery shop here. There’s also a café near the bakery counter I’ve seen grandpas enjoy their espresso There’s a big philopino grocery section in the back of the store. I purchased packaged ube(purple yam) cakes here. If you can’t find you international items at A&P then come here. The store is located in the strip mall where the manhattan bagel and koki buffet is located.

I like Seabra for the reason that they are one of the very few locations I can find Costa Rican products in my area. The rest of the store itself is small but adequate — mostly specializing in Portuguese/Spanisb foods. Their«international» aisle though is pretty spectacular and I’m not just talking Goya. Foods from Peru, Haiti, the Phillipines and other countries. So thankful I have a place to buy my Salsa Lizano, no longer relying on trips to Costa Rica or waiting for my mom to come visit.

super wonderful staff, excellent bread, pretty good prices on milk and meat, excellent prices on most of the produce we go to this store once a week. they have a bakery and a in store deli and hot foods/salad bar too. they also do neat thing like small sandwiches on Portuguese rolls for 75 cents. Aldi and Shop Rite still has them beat pricewise stuff like frozen foods and some other things like chips and lunchmeats but all said our local seabras is a great little store!

This is a small chain of latin grocery stores. This market is at the end of a strip mall. Its good size, very clean, good produce, a great fresh fish selection and good meat. Plus lots of individual latin countries local specialty foods. Great breads also… stop by for dinner… very reasonable.
