Our family loves Durhamtown. We bring the camper and stay the whole weekend. Our son has started riding in the race series — good family environment. Everyone we’ve met has been very friendly and helpful. Staff has been excellent. Plenty of well maintained tracks and trails for the beginner — advanced, which spreads everyone out even on the busiest weekends you don’t feel crowded.

Durhamtown is the«Disney World» for dirtbikes. We try to go every April, and have enjoyed every trip. The cabins serve their purpose with plenty of room to unwind. The Pro Shop has more parts and gear than any local motorcycle shop I’ve ever been to. And lastly, the tracks and trails are all fun to ride, and depending on skill level, everyone has something to ride.

I have taken my two sons to Durhamtown for the past three or four years. It’s always a memorable experience. The staff is awesome and the whole facility has a comfortable feeling of safety without being hard nosed about it. We’ve used the repair facilities on more than one occasion. The work has always been good and the prices are very good. Not at all what you would expect with being a captive audience and all. We have stayed in most of the cabins and while they are not Hiltonesque, they are pretty clean and comfortable. The riding facilities are really geared toward my class of rider — competent, but not high-wound, Supermoto. But if you want that, they have it. DTP is a great place that we look forward to making memories at for a long time to come.

My husband and I love it here! We take the little grill for burgers on the tailgate and spend the day riding on the miles and miles of trails. I am a tame 4-wheeler rider and hubby rides dirt bikes and it’s great for both. Well maintained wide trails and a very nice staff! They rent everything. Parking is shaded but dusty. Great time for all ages and modes.

This place rocks. I’ve ridden here for years, and the staff at Durhamtown is always helpful. I’ve rented from there a handful of times, and the bikes are always well maintained, and ready to ride. The prices are fair, and the tracks are about as well kept as you can ask for GA red clay. I actually met Mike(the owner) on the trails one day when he stopped to help us out. We had no clue who he was, but he was quick to help us out, and get us going again. If you want a place to ride with the kids, or want to go rip up the MX tracks this is a great place to go.

We travel almost 9 ½ hours to ride here. Best trails! Best tracks!!! Caters to UTV, ATV and dirt bikes. Lots of tracks, trails for all different bikes even Jeep trails. I just wish it was closer to Our home. Durhamtown is so great, anywhere we have road since, just doesn’t compare. Pro shop and mechanics are very helpful and quick. The restaurant’s food is so yummy. We also love how safe they are here.

My family and friends have been giving Mike McCommons our money for 6 years. We usually go twice a year and on Memorial Day weekend we usually gather up around 12 to as many as 20 people to come out and camp. This year(5÷24÷15) we saw the real side of Mike McCommons. Our 8 year old daughter was hit by a RZR on Monster Mountain. She was stopped at the top of the mountain facing the wrong way. I had to stop traffic on the mountain because my 12yr old’s atv stalled and I was getting it off the track. While I was not looking a loud crash drew my immediate attention and all I saw was a little girl rolling down the hill while her atv rolled on top of her. Through the dust there was the RZR at the top of the hill. I did not see what happened but my only priority was to get my girl to the EMT station. I took her helmet off and blood was coming from her mouth and nose. She was crying and telling me that she did not want to die. Any parent would be crushed at this point. I put her on my ATV and drove her to the entrance of the track where I found a track worker. She called for help and got us the attention we needed. EVERYONE was great! The paramedic checked her out and left the decision to us whether we take her to get checked out. We declined and decided that we would take her back to the room and monitor her progress from there. Two hours after the incident a man came up in a golf cart and said«you aren’t drinking and riding are you!» to some of my friends. They didn’t have atv’s or wrist bands they were just there to camp. Then he said«who’s the father of the girl that got hit». I reached my hand out to shake his and that’s when Mike McCommons started to accuse me and my family of lying about what took place on his track. I had no idea that my daughter may have been going the wrong way. I just knew that she was hit by an RZR. That’s all I knew and that’s all I stated. Mike insisted that I told one of his young workers that it was the RZR’s fault. At no time did fault come out of my mouth all I wanted was for my little girl to be okay. Mike then proceeded to tell us that it was people like us that gave his plantation a bad name. Now you should remember that I have been going to his establishment for many years and he had seen me before and we even had casual conversations about riding and safety. Mike got pissed off when my 12 yr old son told him that my daughter was not going the wrong way when he saw her. Mike then got in his golf cart and almost hit one of my friend’s minivans. I told him to be careful and he got back out of his golf cart and told us all to leave. He said«you will not be getting any money back and you better be out in 30 mins». I told him there was not way we could get everything packed up in 30 mins. and he said okay you have 36 mins. Needless to say we all packed up and left. All I can do to the guy is put my story out there for other people to see and maybe more people will come forward with similar stories. I am willing to bet that other people that have had accidents on his property are met with hostility and not compassion.

Customer Service: 1 Star We found this place on Sweetjack and were able to ride for two hours for about half the price of what it would normally cost. Our reservations were booked ahead of time but when we got to the rental counter we were informed that our reservation hadn’t been recorded in their schedule book and that they had thrown away the receipt with our credit card information for the deposit. Now we have to cancel that card and replace it obviously to try and avoid a fraud situation but the employees there didn’t care and weren’t a bit remorseful for being so unorganized. The woman who assisted us was rude when we got there and even ruder when we were done for the day and needs to see her again about getting then deposit refunded on my credit card. Main Attraction: 5 stars The ATVs were in goof condition and it was a blast. We had time to ride two trails(A, D, then somehow E) in the ATVs but were both beginners so you may be able to get another in. We somehow veered off of our trail and I got stuck in the mud twice… Nothing boring about the place and it was huge. I can’t wait to go back. Tips: bring goggles(they don’t sell nor rent), get ready to have a lot of dirty fun, and be prepared to pressure wash the ATV when done renting which takes about 15 – 20 minutes.

My family and I stayed here for a Military Truck Rally. It was not the first year it was held here, and it is my understanding that it generally goes off without a hitch. I think the nicest thing I can say about the place is that it was a dry place to sleep. We rented one of the cabins and had in total eight people in it. Four of those were five or under so it was not as crowded as it sounds. There were two«rooms» divided by a door which did not actually stay closed even if you locked it. We were all family there so it was not a huge deal, but could make changing a drag if the kids were wanting to run in and out. After all most people do not want their ENTIRE family to see them in a state of undress… This door not locking issue continued with the shower room and the room with the toilet. This could be a bit more of an issue than changing I think. I tend to feel I did my time getting watched while I was in the military and having regular drug testing. The small heater in the cabin(just one so if the door was closed the other room was kind of screwed) was not properly vented and so even dried out my husband’s sinuses. He’s from SWCO, it is not an easy thing to do. With my swamp rat blood I was dying every night. The complimentary coffee maker in the room was a nice touch. Other than the fact that it had moldy coffee grounds in it. So much for a clean room. Still I guess someone could have forgotten to check… Although I have to say that coffee is acidic and so it does not exactly mold fast, who knows how many times they forgot to check it. Following the coffee maker in the cleanliness issues… Every Single Bed in the cabin had sand in the sheets. I repeatedly asked for house keeping. No one ever stopped by. This was not sand put there by us, it was there when we got there. Further grossing me out(which I actually have a fairly strong stomach…), upon stripping the beds myself I discovered that all of the mattresses were stained as were each and every pillow in the place. Not innocent looking stains like maybe someone spilled some juice, or hey that could be mud. Nope. These were definitely of the«OMG what exactly did they do in this cabin?» variety. Which of course it is probably better if we didn’t know. I cannot speak for the«fun» parts of the place. I stayed sick the entire time we were there.(Cannot imagine how that happened) I was relieved to leave.
