Chet’s Place

This is just a great bar restaurant, family owned family run the food is simple and inexpensive. Just a shot away from Elk Mountain this is the perfect place to stop for lunch when skiing or after Best Steak night Friday night service during day is great these girls work hard and very nice. I hate that its called a“Dive Bar” P. S. I don’t drink, and I don’t drive past with out stopping.

I want to make a serious point I read a review that states they broke down and they were very rude and the bartender flipped the customer at the bar the finger. OK let me tell you what I hate about Unilocal Jerks who are having a bad day and breakdown can go online a tear up a place like this unfairly, These bartenders here know their customers, and have a relationship with them, this is a place of regulars, «The Worst experience of my life. I would not stop here if I had a flat tire.» Clearly, this review is another review of someone who is out to destroy a well established business, you know nothing about, Your an outsider and walk into a place expecting something that it is not. My suggestion 1. Is to review a place fairly objectively and with out malice in mind, 2. Stay in Florida,
I have been here about twenty times and always been very happy with the food and service for what it is. I am a chef a Good Chef well known, Popular and I respect when people simply supply every day foods at a great price.

We came here after a day of skiing for a bachelorette party. Truly a country/​ski bum/​boonies dive bar. Then again, can you call a place that has great live music, dancing and friendly faces a dive bar? we danced until 130 to the live band wth the friendly locals and had a fantastic evening. And you can’t beat the décor!!! Hilarious!

Local towny bar. Awesome atmosphere. Kids before 9pm. Bands. Good bar food. Outdoor seating. Not too expensive.

Worst experience of my life. I would not stop here if I had a flat tire. Bar tender (Female with black hair, sorry don’t remember her name) could not have been any ruder to customers with children within ear shot of her four letter words. Truly a nightmare experience! I also witnessed her giving the finger to two customers from across the bar. Awful.
We will never return!

Wonderful dive bar near Elk Mountain ski resort. 3 stars is because the food we had for lunch, fish and chips and steak and cheese, was pretty average. Maybe the burgers or chili would be better. Regardless, Chet’s is friendly, casual, and cheap. At night it looks like they have live music.

Not a bad find while spending a snowy weekend at Elk Mountain. Decent prices. Nice portions. Friendly staff. Cheap beer! I would definitely come back.

Chet’s place is the go to place! Many years ago we used to ride our horses there for a quick bite! I sure do miss those days. It is also right around the corner from Elk Mountain as well.
It is a country style bar 100%!

This is the bar I have in my head when I hear the Toby Ketih song…” I love this bar”. If you are in the area sking at elk, take a ride of the beaten path for a real country/​small town/​boonies experience.
