One of the worst ihops ever visited, ordered a to go, 1 pancake missing, only soup available is chicken, I instead ordered salad which was missing from my pickup bag… One of the worst restaurants. Will never visit again

There is never a day that IHOP isn’t packed with people but it still is good service and good food! Nice place for brunches :)

I haven’t been to any other IHOP so I can’t compare it to them, but I like this place. Sometimes, especially on weekends, the wait is a bit long. The atmosphere is comfy and all the servers I’ve had have been pretty accommodating. One time, I ordered a Mushroom and Swiss burger and asked for it to be cooked medium rare. It came out medium well. Was a little sad about that, and didn’t want to wait for a replacement. Another time, I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich(can’t remember which one) and asked for no sauce. They still put the sauce on, and it was kinda disgusting. Again, I didn’t want to wait for a replacement, so I dealt with it. For the most part though, it’s a cool place.

This is hands down the best ihop in northern Nj. Service is always fast and friendly. Food is consistently good. I knock off 1-star only because the parkinglot gets really full and sometimes hard to find parking.

This IHOP is the homiest location of all IHOPs I have been to. The moment I sat down, I just had that sense of warmth from the servers conversing with whom I believe are their regulars. I guess it’s just me, but I like seeing that in restaurants. Our server, Peter(I believe) was so nice. He had a cool personality. After a good first time experience at this location, I think this will be my default IHOP location for a while…

Shortly, great foods but terrible service(We’ve ordered our foods 12:30am and we’ve got them 1:34am ! What the hell !). You gotta improve ur service, be faster PLEASE.

We bring my 94 year old grandmother here often along with our young girls. Usually fantastic service and good food(what you expect at an IHOP). But why a 15 minute wait on a weekday? They have left a whole section closed off instead of opening it up to accommodate customers. There appear to be enough servers… Alfred

This location is alright. I’ve been coming here for years and the quality of food has depreciated. But, I think it’s the IHOP franchise that has depreciated in taste + quality. However, I’ve had mixed experiences. Most recently, the eggs and hash browns have been really awful. Pancakes are still great, except it’s IHOP, so expect fast food-quality. Either way, expect to wait a long time on weekends and stick to the pancake specials.

Okay… Kudos to IHOP in Union City… It’s international Pancake Day and they are handling there business in here. They have Union City Police in here keeping the high schoolers in order… we didn’t have to wait but 5 minutes. My coworker had the hook up so there wasn’t a long wait… Owwww

I have had mixed reviews with Ihop. I have had times during my visit where my food was cold and not cooked enough while the pancakes are fantastic. I have ordered lunch meals like the Fried Chicken, and it came to me cold and undercooked while the turkey dinner was cooked enough and just right. Sundays and Saturdays are their busiest times. I once had to wait 35 minutes for a table, especially during football season when people came here before going to a football game. Overall, come here for the pancakes and you will enjoy your visit.

Coming on the weekend??? Be prepared to wait… I swear everyone in Union City, Jersey city and West New York comes here on the weekend. Service is usually spotty but the people who work here do a good job of keeping up with the demand. After you wait about forty minutes and finally sit down the food comes out pretty quickly. I always order the pancakes and use the strawberry syrup! It makes my mouth happy! Bottom line cheap prices and great pancakes! I mean what other reason do you need for IHOP? Just try to come early or be prepared to wait.

Placing an order to go is horrible they ALWAYS get it wrong. If you go on a Sat or Sun morning be prepared for an extremely long wait. Food is good though.

UGH… chicken fried steak was awful. I couldn’t even eat one bite. The waitress was nice but the food was awful. I came back to try it again… still awful. So if you’re walking keep on going and if you’re lucky enough to find a parking place go clothing shopping but don’t come here to eat.

Today is one of the only times we have waited so long for our food but the waitress was very nice so it was ok. They are usually pretty fast and we do not wait more than 20 minutes for a seat. Food is always good but mainly stick to breakfast. Have had the chicken and waffles and it was pretty delicious. And this place is a short walk from our house so I’m probably biased but recommend for any one that is from out of town.

Sunday 9:00am I cannot stress enough that you have to show up before 10am to get a table here. The place is hopping by then and you’ll be waiting at least 20 minutes for a table. Once you’re in, you’ll be happy to know the place is clean and the service is very good! Parking is ample(again after 10am). I think it’s a good breakfast spot that’s not a trendy brunch place.

Guess who is a full happy camper… ME! I just came back and immediately had to write a review. My friends and I decided to go to this IHOP for the first time and had a great experience. First off. it was international pancake day today(which means free pancakes) and this place was beyond packed. I was expecting to wait 15 minutes before we were seated. However to my surprise we were seated within less the 5 minutes. We orders our beverages right away and they were brought to our table immediately. Coffee was perfectly warm and they also left the container on the table so we can keep pouring ourselves as many coffee refills as we liked. For food, I wound up getting something simple… sunny side up eggs. whole wheat toast and home-fries and of course my free short stack! The short stack was awesome! They were pretty big and tasted amazing. The home fries were cooked perfectly. I couldn’t get over how good they were. My eggs we also a treat. My friends also enjoyed their meals as well. The service was phenomenal. especially due to the fact that they were super busy here today. Our waiter was very polite and looked happy to serve. Good service always goes a long way with me. I can definitely see myself coming back here for breakfast again in the near future! On a side note– Today if you go for free short stacks please make sure you make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!(The main reason for free pancakes) it’s for a great cause!

I will never choose Ihop as my preference place for breakfast. The food reminds me of things that I throw in the microwave. The wait to be seated is ridiculous… you would think there is something extraordinary going on. I’ve never seen anything like it. If you are coming with just one other person you should be fine but groups of 3+ you are bound to wait for a long time for just«okay» breakfast. The servers are nice but I don’t blame them for not coming to your table as often as they should since the place is packed.
