I came here on a Saturday morning to complete the in-class portion of the CPR/AED course. When I first got there, I was definitely unsure where to park. I had to do a couple of loops around the building in order to find the lot. It is small and off to the left hand side if you are facing the front. The building is a bit run down and not the most aesthetically pleasing to eye but they are there as a resource so that is better than not having them at all. After parking, I had to enter from the loading dock on the back side(heads up for those interested in taking the course). I was a bit skeptical about how successful the day would be but it actually turned out great, mainly due to our instructor. Ingrid Pocock was really welcoming and patient throughout the whole class. She definitely knows what she is doing and I would highly recommend her as an instructor. She took the time to make sure that all questions were answered and that everyone could properly practice the skills for certification. She is the reason why I reviewed this place a 3⁄5 stars.(–2 for the building and confusion with the entrance). If this review were solely based on her skills as an instructor, I would give it a 5⁄5.

So this building is very scary looking and horrific. It really needs a face lift. In order to get into it you need to enter through the dock entrance door. I was going here to take a CPR/AED training course which was surprising really interesting and fun. My teacher was Ingrid Pocock. She was very nice and knowledgeable. Which this building may be ghetto as heck, the class itself was great. I think they do not have a high concern for the appeal of this building since it looks like mostly a Red Cross storage area and training place, but still…

This place is in a scary state of disrepair and staffed with incredibly rude people. Granted they are volunteers, but I’ve never been treated so poorly by a «professional». Michael, you’re a jerk

The instructor was an hour late for a Saturday morning class. That is not OK. When he finally showed up, he just started handing out class materials without any explanation or apology. I walked out on him. I told him if he wasn’t responsible enough to show up on time, I could not trust him to teach me life-saving techniques.
