Great food for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend the crispy kale salad, the dosas, the pomegranate raita, and the dals. The fried okra, aloo tiki, and bhel were also very flavorful. I’ve never had such good food in a mall! Definitely check it out.

Absolutely fantastic food! They have many traditional Indian dishes, as well as Asian fusion style and more American, like the Masala Burger. The Raan was tender and wonderfully seasoned. The sauce was exactly what I was looking for. Wonderful Wonderful service from Lawrence, as well! I spoke to two managers while there, who were not only visible, but interacting with guests. Only thing I would say is a negative? That I don’t live here in Virginia to be able to visit weekly! .

We had a reservation in the evening and arrived a few minutes late. They acknowledged other customers who arrived after us first, and after being consistently ignored by the hosting staff they said it would be a 45 minute wait. After I made it clear we’d had a reservation and only arrived a few minutes late(and the people they had seated previous did not), they seated us immediately. The service was sparse, and the butter chicken wasn’t the best I’ve had. Not really worth another wait, the spices didn’t seem balanced enough and the portions did not justify the prices.

We are coming back. Great food including our favorite Masala Dosa. Happy Hour specials and an awesome bartender Cody. The Kale Palak salad is wonderful!

After doing some planes, trains and automobiles on a work trip, I was hoping to find something good to break the late fast. Took a hotel shuttle over to a nearby supermall as I’d heard they have a swath of dining options. The Tandoori name stuck out. I showed up late and was truly hoping the kitchen was still open. They were. Relief. The kindest and wisest of hostesses greeted me. Rita was her name. I was offered an ideal seat(a cool crescent mustard colored booth). Due to hunger and the waning hour I asked for recommendations on all fronts. The short rib nihiri, as prophesied by Rita, was slide off the bone perfect. The aloo tikka was an ideal starter compliment. Highly recommended for the eats, scenery, and hospitality.

My wife and I went out to Tysons for our usual date night to get away from the kids and we finally decided to try American Tandoor. We sat at the bar and we were greeted by one of your friendliest bartender and I believe his name was Brian? and we ordered your well known Samosas and they were fantastic and just the right amount, Lamb Seekh Kebab was delicious and generously portioned and followed by some delicious handcrafted cocktails made by Brian and they were fantastic! We had no room For dessert but we will come back to try out the rest of the menu. Overall Great food and wonderful tasty drinks. Sent from my iPhone

My brothers were in town, and we thought we would try the brunch after hearing that there is a brunch buffet on Sunday mornings. We heard about the chocolate fountain and the wide variety of food… so we thought why not? Boy was it a let down. We made reservations, but I really don’t think it is necessary. We could have just walked in on Sunday morning. Brunch buffet is from 10am-4pm. I ordered the coffee(coffee and tea are included), and the coffee was cold, and it probably took about an hour to get milk and sugar out. They don’t have creamer… seriously? He only could offer milk. The food was a let down too… other than the omelet station. The omelet station offered a made to order omelet with multiple of options of stuff in it. The only meat was ham. There are waffles being made as well. These were alright. Now on to the Indian food. Most of the food on the buffet was cold. I thought maybe we came in too late. but we were there at noon and the buffet lasts until 4pm… so it wasn’t that. The butter chicken was decent(other than being cold). This place is NOT spicy. The other dishes include the shrimp and oyster curry was really not that tasty. It also included rice, chicken biriyani(very little chicken) and paneer makhani. There were potatoes, but nothing special. I think the food may have tasted better if it wasn’t so darn cold… It just didn’t make sense. We weren’t the only people to think that either. The naan is actually pretty tasty, and that was warm. I think it is freshly made. so we were excited about this. The chocolate fountain is lame. There is strawberries and marshmallows, and thats basically it. We were excited about it, but underwhelming. Overall, a very subpar experience. I wonder if it would have been better with warm food, but the service was lacking, food was lacking, coffee was lacking… and there was no creamer, which I still don’t get. Anyway, not worth 25 bucks for the experience we had.

The naan was the only thing worth eating. We had ordered the momos as an appetizer, which are basically dumplings filled with curry, and those were terrible. They also took forever to come out. The servers had told us that there would be four pieces but we only received three. When we asked about it, they told us we were misinformed. It didn’t matter as we only had one apiece(they are supposed to be different… which is correct, but they just weren’t good). They tried to give us an additional piece later on, but we turned them down as they tasted so awful. The hubby had the butter chicken, which was okay. It did not have enough buttery goodness. I had the Singapore noodles which were so salty it was overwhelming! The chicken in this dish was also very dry. Needless to say, we did not finish this dish, either. The service was okay but the food did take a long time to come out. We will not be coming back. There are other Indian restaurants in the area that are far superior to this and it was overall quite disappointing.

Not bad for a mall Indian restaurant. The butter chicken was mellow and pleasant. The food isn’t amazingly out of this world, but it’ll satisfy your craving in a pinch.

For a mall restaurant, this place is awesome. Their naan is thin and crisp. The short rib was tender and cooked perfectly. Get a side of cumin potatoes, you won’t be disappointed. And their flavored sodas are delicious. I love butter chicken and here it fulfills a craving but I wouldn’t say it was the best I’ve ever had. This place is definitely on my top places to eat at Tysons.

Indian cuisine is my absolute favorite! I was eying this place for a while but never found the time to go. While in the mall, I made the mistake of checking the Unilocal reviews and decided not to eat here. However, as we were walking to find another place to eat, we mysteriously came across a sample table for this restaurant. She was sampling butter chicken(one of my favorites) and we decided to give this place a shot! My verdict is the food is amazing! I describe it as «Commercial Indian». Not 100% authentic, but it will satisfy the craving. The only thing I didn’t like was the naan. It had a cracker-like consistency instead of that airy softness that I am used to. Lastly, the ambiance had a Friday’s vibe, so I can see why some Unilocalers didn’t enjoy the experience.

Overall: nothing amazing, worth trying once but not something I’d go back for. The look of the restaurant is so cute and really goes with the theme. We were seated fast and our waiter was kind enough to tell us we get 20% off our check for Unilocaling. For a starter we got sheekh Kabob wrapped in lettuce. Lol it was a lot a lot of lettuce with barely any kabob. And the Kabob itself wasn’t very flavorful and kind of had a mushy/really soft texture. The dressing on the lettuce was good but I didn’t like the meat/lettuce proportion. For the entrée we got chicken tikka masala and it looked nothing like what I was expecting/used to eating. The sauce is chunky, not smooth, and the rice bowl it came with was barely half ful. It seemed like they are really stingy with the portion size here. Like many people said before if your an Indian food fan this is NOT the place to go. I understand it’s a fusion restaurant, but that doesn’t mean you skip on the flavor. Pass for me. But maybe good for those that don’t like a lot of spices. or flavor.

Indian without India The food was basically just like the name of the restaurant. Americanized Indian food. The flavors weren’t authentic. My friend ordered the steak baa which and it was honestly just meat on bread and my fish of the day was pretty salty. The service was good though.

My co-worker and I had originally intended to head to the Tysons I Mall to have some pizza at Luciano’s only to discover it had closed. Don’t you hate it when that happens?! =( I liked the open concept with the kitchen in full view. Somehow, this makes you feel«closer» to the food being prepared. We were seated immediately during a busy lunch hour and mentioned to the server we were in a hurry. I’m no stranger to Indian cuisine, but the server was very helpful in making suggestions. The food came out within 10 minutes and we got busy to chowing down on rice, naan, spicy potato dosa, tandoori chicken and rogan josh. I’d have to say that the naan and rice were the highlights. Perhaps, other Unilocalers might not agree, but the naan and rice must be on point to enjoy Indian cuisine. Other notable mentions are that the chicken and beef were tender and gently spiced. Of course, I asked for a spice tray ‘coz I like a little heat with my food. Lastly, the spicy potato dosa was both crispy and fluffy. Portions were generous and we even left with leftovers. Price point was consistent with the overall experience and I’ll probably venture out for dinner when I have the opportunity.

I am so impressed! I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to try them at a Unilocal event, so I ventured out for date night. It’s hard when the restaurant is tucked in the side of the mall, next to a food stand, that’s also good. But this hidden treasure is totally worth it! Firstly, the service was awesome! We were greeted the moment we walked in and our server should win an award. He knew his dishes well and the ingredients in them. He also suggested popular ones, as well as his personal favorites, since it was our first time having American food with a flair of Indian spices. I was unsure about trying the coconut soda, but he offered to bring a new one, on the house, if I didn’t like it. I ended up loving it and he got me a gracious refill! He was very attentive and on top of his game. The Whole Prime Rib was the best dish on the table and it was fall off the bone so good with amazing spices and fat. That dish was money. I also enjoyed the Coconut Prawns and they were huge pieces for $ 15. Our sides included grits, curry potatoes and French fries dipped in a sweet tamarind sauce, which were also very delicious. If things couldn’t get better, the Banoffee Pie for dessert, with the light cream, real bananas, and flaky thin crust, was the cherry on top. I could just fall over. Awesome service + awesome food = solid 5 stars!

Omg their food… Is soooooo good. Let me say this, it’s an Indian fusion. The food is Americanized to the max. I would say if you go here expecting real Indian food you may be disappointed. It’s a new and modern twist to the traditional Indian dishes. It’s a creative and unique approach to Indian cuisine. They have rack of lambs marinated and seasoned with Indian spices and herbs. This is a dish that I truly recommend. The chefs know how to cook, butcher and clean their lambs. The seasoning is truly unique to this restaurant. They grind and mix their own spices on a daily basis. That’s a huge pro. It makes their cooking that much more unique and delicious. End the meal with their bread pudding. Omg… It’s so delicious and its topped with a dollop of ice cream!

I have mixed feelings on this place… I would give them 3.5 stars if I could. They were not very busy at 12 on a Saturday. They asked if we had a reservation, we did not, but they seated us anyways. A nice young man came and greeted us and explained the menu as it was our first time. He took our drink order and left to get our drinks. Another young man then came up and began going over the menu with us, we told him another waiter had already explained things to us, but he continued on any ways. Our original waiter came and told the guy he was already taking care of us. Funny, a little awkward, whatever. I ordered the mango lassi. It was terrible. First of all, please look at the picture I’ve posted. The thing was filled, top to bottom with ice. I paid $ 5 for a glass of ice. Ugh. And I realize this place is a unique version of Indian food, but they added some sort of spice to the lassi that made it so gross. I honestly wanted to have them take it back and take it off the bill but my husband didn’t want me to. It started getting pretty busy and the waiters seemed to be stretched thin. I had to ask twice for a water refill. The food seemed to take a painfully long time to come out. The portions were pretty generous and the food was pretty good but not the best Indian I have ever had. I got the chicken tikka masala which honestly was a bit too spicy. My husband agreed which is incredibly rare for us to say as we LOVE spicy food. He ordered the butter chicken which was incredibly bland. We ended up combining the two and they helped balance each other out, but we should not have had to do that. For an order of garlic naan you got 4 pieces and(from what I recall) no refills. Our favorite Indian place gives free unlimited refills! For being on the pricey side you would think they could be a bit more generous on the naan. The employees were all very nice, and I wouldn’t be opposed to giving this place another chance, but probably on a weekday when they are not as busy.

I think the place does a great job of living up to the name, giving the American palette a delicious sample of Indian cuisine. We started out with the masala crab dip. There was nothing special about this compared to other crab dishes I’ve had. I know, I know. I came to an Indian restaurant and didn’t necessarily order an Indian dish… sue me. Oh well. Yummy yes, but nothing to to get too excited over. I’d suggest trying another app of you had crab dip before. Main course: I had the butter chicken. I’d say this is the more stereotypical place to start if you’re new to Indian cuisine like I am. At least, this is what my friends told me. I liked it. It was a bit too creamy and rich but ultimately I enjoyed it paired with garlic naan. The chicken was a bit of a miss in my opinion. The meat was a bit too dark for my liking, but the creamy sauce made up for it. All in all the restaurant is worth a shot if you’re in the mall and want to try something new. I’ll definitely return and try something else as their menu is rather large and seems to have many options.
