I ordered flowers for my mother-n-laws birthday from this flower shop, and requested that they be delivered to her house. They called to tell her they were going to deliver flowers to her!!! This is a florist! They should know half of the fun of sending and receiving flowers is opening the door to a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I am so disappointed! If you want to surprise someone with flowers, don’t use French Peas! My MNL is picking up her flowers… nice. So much for a wonderful surprise.

I am from Palestine, but currently live in Socal. I am getting married near Tyler next May, so I scheduled a consult with French Pea regarding my wedding and flew all the way from California to attend it. My fiancé is Hawaiian, so I wanted to try to achieve a somewhat tropical look, within reason as I understand that certain flowers would be hard to get. The consult went ok, although I didn’t feel very much«warmth» from them. It was almost as if I was interrupting or a burden somehow. The consult was September 7 and I was told that I would receive a quote the next week. After I finally emailed them, I got the quote on September 23. Nothing at all was said in either the consult or the quote about not being able to meet my expectations. Understand that I stressed multiple times that I was flexible. When I received the quote, I immediately responded with my credit card # to pay the deposit and was told that I would receive the contract in the mail. I finally emailed again on October 10 as I had not received the contract and the deposit had not been charged and was told that they had been very busy and would mail the contract out in a couple of days. Then on October 21, I received a card in the mail that said«We don’t do tropical. We do more of a garden look. So we can’t meet your needs.» I was SHOCKED that it took SEVEN weeks to tell me that they couldn’t «meet my needs», when I had always said I gave them creative license. I honestly feel like another wedding came along that they couldn’t do both, and the other wedding would be more profitable. Otherwise, it shouldn’t have taken 7 weeks to decline my business. Had I known sooner, I could have met with another florist when I flew into Tyler last week to meet with the bakery. Now I’m back to square one, with no opportunity to meet with a florist in Texas until February.

These ladies have never let me down. Their arrangements always make my wife happy! They need to be classified as florist and not antiques.
