Always drive to Tyler just to go to Chuy’s! I like the salsa, queso, and of course creamy jalapeño! THe best thing I order is the shrimp and cheese chile relleno. My favorite for«tex mex»

If you like spicy you’ll love this place. Fresh ingredients daily, salsa is amazing, as well as the hand-rolled tortillas. Our waiter Clinton was very helpful in our ordering, as this was our first visit here. He even brought us a sample of their signature Tres Leche dessert which is the best I’ve ever tasted! You won’t regret this place!

My favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. I absolutely love every meal i get here. My go-to is the steak burrito. This dish is my favorite out of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. The hatch green chile sauce is awesome. My wife likes the shrimp Baja tacos. She also likes the jalapeño ranch dip. I prefer the salsa. It tastes so fresh every time. I can’t get enough of it. Our kids order a variety of things and i can honestly say that nobody in our family has disliked their dish. You must try Chuys.

One of our favorite Mexican places! Love the fresh tortillas and the Jalepeno ranch. We tend to order the beef and chicken tortillas and they are delicious. I have tried several other items and never am disappointed. My daughter loves the tres leches cake so much that we ordered a whole one for her bday. The thing was huge and so yummy!

The service was good and the food was excellent. They need a lunch special menu. Chuy’s is a great place from Austin TX. Have stopped here several times.

Since I’m not from the area, nor familiar with it, my co-workers decided on Chuy’s for lunch. The décor was very festive and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered panchos, which is like having nachos and fajitas mixed together… It was a very flavorful dish, however if I ever go again I would leave off the refried, they were a little thick, but all in all, it was a good lunch.

Definitely lived up to the hype. Good service. Drinks were amazing. Food was some of the best Tex-Mex I’ve had. Fajitas and Tres Leches cake all the way!

The chips were hot and the fresco dip was fresh. I alway order the chili Rellenos filled with shrimp and cheese with the creamy jalapeño sauce. It always comes out great just like when I was in Austin.

Always helpful and friendly staff. Food is can’t miss as usual. Often stay at a hotel located very near this jewel… Thank goodness! The folks here always say hi and bye and love their job. The food reflects it…

Having mostly having Tex-mex outside Texas, this is the best I’ve had so far.

No military discount ***** Could have been 5 star for its class but since there was no discount available to military then they get a 4. Great food, quick waitressing by the staff on drink refills. Good family environment, but weird music selection playing at what I thought was a Mexican style restaurant. They had 3doors down to black eye peas. Food prices were in good comparison to the amount of food provided.

Loved it. Been there couple times last time I went beef wasn’t that good but it doesn’t matter I loved the rest of the food me and my husband got.

My family and I have tried it 2 times now. As far as we are concerned it was 2 times too many. The beans are reconstituted, rice dry, chicken fajitas were over cooked and dry. Basically speaking we have eaten frozen dinners that tasted better. We ordered the fajitas for 2 and given 3 tortillas to share between the two of us. Really people? That was the last time for us.

It’s Green Chili Festival. What the heck, I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Chili Rellenos off the special menu. My server Scott T seems a little haggard & he just presented discount/gift cards to the next table & apologized for their long wait. We’ll see. My drink came fast & he brought me the green sour cream salsa stuff I like but probably shouldn’t eat. As I am dining alone I am writing this review like live play-by-play. My wife hates it when I Unilocal in her presence, so I’ll wax eloquent in her absence. My server Scott T is definitely working hard to impress the 8 attractive young ladies(20 — somethings) 2 tables away. I don’t blame him. Wow-my food is already here! I hardly touched my chips. Good thing since this is a prodigious plate of powerful provisions-and served in less than 10 minutes since I ordered! Pausing to munch… Definitely not riding the diet wagon tonight. The Rellenos were great with bacon! One was very mild & the other was very spicy. Green chiles can be that way. The Green Chile rice was also great. Gotta stop! OK — food choice gets 5 stars. Scott also delivered great service. He isn’t haggard, he’s working hard to get everything right! Good job. Chuy’s is a favorite of mine but don’t expect real Tex Mex. Tex Mex never notices when Hatch green chiles are in season. Hatch is a town in New Mexico — and not even an area that was part of the old Republic of Texas. It’s great, but it’s just false advertising to call it Tex-Mex! Amanda is awesome, too. She paid me to say that.

Does anyone really need a review of Chuy’s? I mean… its Chuy’s. They all are about the same once you’re outside of Austin. The kids could live off of the creamy jalapeño ranch sauce. Try that with your chips and salsa. But for real l, what else is there to tell… prices average, food quality average to above average. Service is all based on the volume. Oh ya, they don’t have draft beers. Maybe that’s what you should know. Meh rating for a meh Mexican food chain.

We love the patio area. The food is consistently good, fast prepared, and priced nicely for a full service restaurant. Usually we get the tres leches for dessert to go. It is moist and very good.

A really fun place! Great hangout after work, lively and vivacious. Food is good — with lots of variety. Lots of options for inexpensive beers(Lone Star @ $ 2). Service is good, too. Went there twice during my last stay in Tyler — ate once at the bar, and once at a table with friends. Overall good experience both times. Will definitely be here again.

Great for a birthday dinner with the family. It was a loud atmosphere. The chips came with a bowl of salsa(which was pretty spicy!) & another bowl with some sauce that was similar in taste & texture to ranch dressing(a nice cool-off after the salsa!). We also ordered queso, which was great(we should’ve ordered another bowl of it for our table!). I had the veggie combo plate(they designate meatless items on the menu), which had a veggie enchilada & a veggie quesadilla. The beans & rice that came with the plate were also excellent(beans not too pasty & rice not too dry). I would love to go back sometime when I’m back in Tyler!

I used to live in Austin and frequented the original Chuy’s often. So when I say that my recent visit here was every bit as good as the real deal, it’s high praise. Fantastic Tex-mex from start to finish. Also, give a mexican martini a try the next time you’re here for an authentic piece of Austin in Tyler. It’s a twist on a margarita can be found all over Austin, and I’ll think you agree that they can’t be beat. Also of note, service here was fantastic during my recent visit, and a welcome change from the original location.
