I would give it zero stars if I could. I read the other reviews and booked a room. I used to live in the valley and was back for a short visit. When my husband and I arrived at 5 pm on(sept.19,2013) the room had not been cleaned. The owner was not on site, his assistant was not there either. There was some guy who had keys to the rooms and had no idea what was going on. The uncleaned room he showed us was filtthy and smelled. I told him to forget about cleaning the room, we were not going to stay there and his comment was«I don’t blame you» do yourself a favor and skip this motel.

As others said, it is a good basic roadside motel. $ 55 for 2 double beds. Small room. Shower head was super low, way too low for 6“4′ hubby, but nice hot water. It was very clean, in fact had a sparkly clean bathroom, but the room also had that cleaning product smell. The air conditioner was noisy and we arrived late afternoon on a sunny day so our room was hot. Had to sleep with the air conditioner on all night. Second night, we kept our nice blackout curtains closed and that kept the room cooler, so instead of listening to the air conditioner we listened to the dude in the next room snoring. In summer, I think rooms 10 – 16 would be cooler. They don’t get the afternoon sun through the windows. The TV had only a handful of stations. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we were there. But, we were in Twisp to hike, enjoy the great restaurants, and play card games at night with the family. Most of the other places in the area were $ 100+ per night and I’d rather spend the money eating out. That being said, I think we might step up to the next level when we return, or just bring a tent and camp.

I stayed here in August 2008 after a backpacking trip in the Cascades. We paid about $ 55 for a nice two bed motel. was clean, good space, TV, hot shower, friendly clerk with good info. Please make sure you have the right room number from the clerk.

Blue Spruce Motel is your basic roadside motel where you can get a clean, safe accommodation to rest your weary body for less than $ 60 a night. Some rooms have kitchenettes, the others have microwave, coffeemaker with fixins, and mini-fridge. Rooms have television, telephone, alarm clock, daily newspaper, and a basket of the essential toiletries. Don’t expect luxury mattresses or bed dressings or an extra blanket or third pillow or continental breakfast. The walls are thin so don’t be surprised when your neighbor’s television show becomes yours. The motel is popular with hunters(there’s added personal safety knowing that your neighbors are housing rifles). The new management is friendly and helpful. I’d go so far as to say single female travelers or girlfriends traveling together could comfortably overnight here. Blue Star Coffee Roasters is right down the street for your socializing and caffeinating pleasure.
