When we — «we» meaning me and my fiancée — first decided that we’ll get phones from Sprint, we wanted Windows phones, but the representatives at the«preferred retailer» said they wouldn’t sell us those phones because they hate trying to fix them; that they can’t fix them and that the«phones suck». Okay, we decided to go with the HTC Desire phones, we hated those phones. We also were promised a $ 100 gift card for signing up for the home phone. We never got that. We returned those phones. My fiancée bought his phone from Amazon and had it activated through Sprint. I, on the other hand had to get my phone from Sprint. I was supposed to have gotten an S3; it was supposed to have been refurbished. The guy who gave me the phone in light of not getting the $ 100 gift card failed to tell me that he pulled that phone from his personal stash. He pulled it out of his bag. It never made it to Sprint to be refurbished which is why the battery was messed up from the gate. I’m thinking, hey, maybe this phone is okay, he wouldn’t give me a phone that doesn’t work. He even gave me a case for it free of charge. I get home with the phone and the back cover is chipped, dirty and even the underside has crust and dirt. I was fine with that because a little wiping and throw the case back on and I won’t mind it. Weeks go by and the battery life slowly starts deteriorating. I’m dealing with it because I can’t keep walking over a dangerous freeway overpass with my young children in tow; possibly get hit by a semi — to get my phone fixed. Here’s where I get pissed: I’m finally fed up with this bad battery in my phone and I finally make it down there to talk to someone about the battery. I’m standing in there for 30 – 45 minutes after I tell them what’s wrong with the phone. They find out that Todd gave me the phone and told me to go and track down Todd. I was furious and I left. I contacted Sprint and come to find out, they don’t even have spare batteries or parts for this phone anymore — they had to provide me with a link from amazon and buy the phone from them — so if it breaks, I still have to pay the deductible for a phone Sprint doesn’t even service any longer. What sense does that make? Here’s where it gets messed up, the following day, my fiancée and I travel back down to Sprint and we tell them what happened and the guy that’s behind the counter says, «That’s what Todd does. He goes in his bag and gives people phones» We have video evidence of this. Even told me that the battery life is only a year, mind you, it hasn’t even been a year yet at the time and what battery goes out in a year?! We get Todd on the phone and he tells me that he’ll bring me another battery and then antagonizes my fiancée: «I thought you were happy with the phone. I was doing you guys a favor.» Oh, okay, right. We don’t have the HTC Desire phones any longer; we gave them back to the store because we hated them. We’re still paying for phones we don’t have. We’re done with Sprint and I would like to terminate early. I don’t care about the fees, I’ll pay on them. Oh, another thing, my phone bill was paid in full last month — both the late and current charges for August and September — why is my bill $ 300 dollars for October?!
