Place serves its purpose. A good workout is attainable here. Unfortunately the price continuously increases while the services provided decrease. The racquetball court is in poor shape(light bulbs out, holes in ceiling, hardwood floor always dirty and in poor shape, painted lines almost worn off). The locker room is falling apart and the showers are always semi-operational(at one point there was only one working shower head and the lights take half an hour to warm up). At times the water has been shut off because they didn’t pay the bill(which means no flushing toilets, no washing hands, no showers, no steam, no drinking fountain). Gym equipment is in about 4⁄5 condition(free weights are awesome, but cardiovascular machines are in need of maintenance. The staff have been decent over the last few years(though it has changed hands so often), but the current staff are nice, it just seems as though they couldn’t care less about their members. The only big advantage they have going for them is location; the next nearest gym is in cedar glen(i think the one in arrowhead closed down again).

I worked out here every morning for 5 years but finally had enough, the place changed hands 4 times and every exchange came with higher rates. The free weights are good, machines are usually 80% operational, racquetball court is nice but you need to clean the floor before you play. Simply put you can’t charge more and provide less! The place as a whole is filthy and falling apart, the rehab people weren’t a welcome addition either, if you want to stand around to smoke and drink coffee then stay at the rehab house!

I have been going to the Club for many years, but have since stopped going. It recently changed hands and they are making improvements but there is still a few things to do. The classes have been great, would love to see a spinning class come on. The one thing his place does lack is cleanliness. They seriously need to tackle this gym on bringing it to par with the other gyms. The dues are close to what the Lake Arrowhead Resort gets but the Resort is far superior in appearance and facilities. On a final note~ I really didn’t like the rehab bus that drops off people who have no intentions of working out at the front door. They come in, smoke, hang out and really have no business there if they are not working out, it is annoying to those who want to work out. It puts off the people who come there to work out and not be bothered.
