Rau Salon

I took my 4 year old daughter here for her first haircut. April cut my daughter’s hair and she was great with her. She did an excellent job on my daughter’s hair and I won’t trust my daughter’s hair to anyone else in the future. Great job!

Went to Rau once for curls for a wedding — they fell out within an hour and it didn’t even look like I had gotten my hair professionally styled. Gave them another chance and had a bridal updo with Heather who made my hair look white from all of the product she applied. Luckily it didn’t show up in my pictures. They also did a crappy job applying fake eyelashes and makeup. They also forgot to give me $ 20 off for the referral that they advertise. Overall between both visits, I feel like I overpaid for what I got.

Rau Salon was recommended to me and though it was a 28 minute trip from my home, I went anyway because I trusted the source. Glad I gave it the chance because it is not only a lovely salon with it’s own nail studio and complimentary cappuccinos (among other offerings), but also because the stylist I saw really listened to what I was asking for and delivered on it. Two more game changing features worth mentioning: massaging shampoo chairs and free wifi. I had a shampoo, highlights and a trim with some razor thinning work and I felt rejuvenated! I get massages and I have been to other salons, but this felt like the total package… and all for under $ 80. I actually paid $ 20 less than this because I used a referral card from a friend, but even at the original price I still felt I hadn’t been extravagant. Good products too! SLS free shampoos and Argan oil treatments. I will go back, absolutely! Stylist Jamie V. was a doll!
