Best gyro I’ve ever had in the desert. Efficient and timely, friendly and very helpful.

We have been here twice, the food is excellent, as is the service… very friendly, very attentive. Really enjoyed the lamb chops. Had the meat shawarma the second time, also very good, the lamp taste was more present. Rice is delicious, and so is the hummus… great flavor, without being too strong… we gobbled that up. Really liked the stuffed grapeleaves, and they made great cold leftovers the next day. The frie/chips they serve are really good… if they were a tad crispier and a little less salty, I would like them even better. Will stop by again the next time we visit the high desert.

I really enjoy this place. This is probably the best place in town for food. They have comfort food and food that you can eat and not feel bad about. My favorite is the chicken shawarma and the lemon lentil soup. The hot sauce is excellent.

Very tasty food, but waits often get very long. and the entire menu is overpriced some. Their gyro and shrimp kabob are my fave, desserts are especially good, and their homemade chips are addictive. Their remodeled dining rooms are much nicer than before, and they are kept very clean. Just try not to distract the owner’s kids as they do homework next to you. Parking is in the sketchy rear of the building, enter through the storage room, wave at the dish washer as you pass. I’ve found service to be hit and miss, not always the friendliest. But if you’re visiting Joshua Tree National Park, this is one of the better eats in town. They just have some wrinkles to iron out.

We visited Joshua Tree National park and one of the guides told us that 29 Palms is at a military base, with a few restaurants here and there. I didn’t have high expectations after hearing that, but this place blew my mind. They serve giant pita wraps /gyros, and fantastic plates(also quite large — at least enough for my mom and dad to share). The fries are sliced in wafers and more closely resemble thick potato chips(a welcome surprise). And, they serve Turkish coffee! We each ate half of our portion and have a bunch of food to take home. Very happy about this place.
