Best use of time, this place is a gem. I am so mad at myself for not finding it when I first got here. The staff is crazy kind and the food was great. This is not a greasy spoon at all. I expected some grease but there was none, none, zip, zero. The only down side is you can’t put the tip on the card good thing I had some cash or I would have been embarrassed. This is the best place to eat if your in the area. My new guilty pleasure Hamburger, fried potato & a waffle. It’s just so wonderful. Can’t get it everywhere but when you can.

I’ve only been here for breakfast and have tried the veggie burrito with potatoes. Super delicious! Also, the pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries are awesome !! Wish I knew about this gem much earlier, will definitely be coming back more often. Totally in love

This is a Really great burger joint! I had a bacon avocado cheeseburger and it was amazing! The side salad wasn’t impressive BUT their homemade dressings are wonderful.

I had the cheese burger and vanilla milkshake, the others in my party had the club, chicken strips and fries. All the food was dinner good. We arrived after the lunch rush as about 2pm and there was plenty of seating. The lady serving us was rushed and tired, maybe because she just got over the lunch rush and it’s hot. We walked into the Denny’s here and then walked right back out. It was smelling in there and dirty. This place is a nice local establishment with good food.

Driving through the area and decided to stop here for a quick bite. Wow! The service was incredible. I got the house omelette and it was amazing. My husband got the burger, loved it! If you’re ever in the area, stop by. I know I will

First time eating at Andrea’s today. It’s a burger stand /diner with a very casual vibe. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. The burgers are very tasty and charbroiled. The Caesar salad was tasty but be forewarned, it has plenty of dressing. If you prefer less, ask for it in the side. Onion rings were also good and came with a huge side of ranch dressing for dipping. The crowd was eclectic and reflects the spectrum of 29 Palms. They were serving breakfast all day and it looked good! I saw some awesome one lets and huge, fluffy pancakes at the next table. I would definitely come back here again.

Local American diner. Had a burger came with thousand island dressing was really good. Had a really good dressing and shredded onions, just delicious. The service and cook were great. Wife had the eggs and country potatoes and said it was really good. Would rather eat here rather than greasy fast food. Very filling. Didn’t have to eat all day and we hiked for four hours. Total was $ 21 with tip.

Ahhh, just average but nice try. Can tell they are trying to build up the joint so I hope they invest back into it. The interior décor is odd and needs help Never seen white vinegar served as oil and vinegar salad dressing. How about some wine vinegar at least? Charcoaled burger was tasty. Friendly service.

Deliciously made charbroiled burgers. Excellent service! The onion rings are a must because they are perfectly cooked, crispy and hot.

It’s much better than anything you’d get at Jack n the box(which is next door) The charbroiled burgers are great! This spot is a must for lunch after visiting nearby Joshua Tree

When i think world famous. Well I expect it. Now my review is going to be a bit different. Because I’m noticing most of these stellar reviews are based on the food. Which to me is important. But there are a lot of other very important things that make my dining experience perfect. Now I’m no meat eater, so I can’t review on how amazing the burgers are. But based on what people are saying. It’s probably pretty damned good. However we had breakfast, and frankly I wasn’t impressed. There’s only so much you can do with French Toast and eggs though. So I’m not going to harp too much on that. The first thing I see pulling up to this place is a bit of a trashy exterior. The building was in tact and clearly of the older type of building built back in the 60’s and 70’s. A well built building, but the exterior was really ugly. The views, well if you don’t mind highway traffic blazing past you at 60+ miles an hour with no barrier between you and them. Then by all means have at it. And let me not forget the beautiful slum gas station across the way with your typical window cleaners(homeless beggars) and meth tweakers in the apartment complex behind that. This town really had a lot of very strange and questionable people wondering around. Honestly I have no desire to ever stop off in this town again. Moving on, I always like to give a place the benefit of the doubt. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. To my surprise, the inside was just as bad as the outside. There was no theme or method to the cluster f**k I walked into. It seemed like 3 or 4 different people with very different senses of style decorated this place. Mismatched furniture, random pictures with little to any relation to the building or it’s owners. The usual wall of kids baseball teams(the only part I liked). Everything about this place screamed very poorly managed and basically forgotten. The furniture that had leather stitching was filthy and falling apart. In fact there was actually broken ones stacked behind other ones. It really is as bad as I’m describing it. There was a wall separating into two rooms. Basically a slightly nicer dining experience with the sh*tty booths and on the other side was the mismatched dining sets of different shapes and sizes. Really I don’t know what to say about this. It’s really confusing and doesn’t seem to serve any purpose other than the fact that it’s just there and that’s it. Before I really tear into this place. I do need to mention that the service wasn’t bad. And I was pleased to see that the kitchen was very clean. I could see that the chef maintained a very nice kitchen. Which usually means good food. So kudos to the kitchen staff for keeping up with this very very busy place. We were originally helped by a young waitress to which I never got her name but she kind of disappeared on us. But luckily Christie, an older woman possibly in her 40’s came shortly after and took pretty good care of us. She was definitely a seasoned veteran of the establishment and was basically running the show. I guess the other gal was sent to run the register and they just made the switch. No big deal. I’ve worked in the restaurant and bar industry for 10 years. And I’ve seen what a well maintained restaurant looks like as well as the nastiest dirties filthiest bars you could possibly imagine. So the things I noticed that really pissed me off was not the décor, not the food, and not the service. It was clearly the lack of management control and understanding of production value. What I mean by this, is they have a service window for pickups or drive through. Which is great, however using ONEREGISTER for the entire restaurant is so f**king idiotic it blows my mind. How f**king cheap do you have to be. I have worked for people just like this person that is running this restaurant and I can tell you that none of them are still in business. The fact that they are still using the old registers from the 70’s really says a lot about this person. They clearly don’t understand the value in having the new systems. I sat and watched these servers scramble like f**king mad men trying to juggle between the pick up window, taking calls, serving guests, seating guests, and ringing up others that wanted to leave. And it’s all placed right at the front which placed my well rounded ass right onto this guys plate. I mean I tried to not have my d*ck in this guys coffee, but I didn’t have anywhere else to stand. Nothing about this place has any guidance. It’s a complete cluster f**k and the only thing that’s keeping it a float is the waitress Christie. So I hope she is being paid very well for keeping things going. But by the looks of this place. I’m pretty sure she’s getting paid minimum wage or maybe a dollar more. I can’t understand how a successful restaurant owner cheaps out on basic sh*t. Yes it’s expensive, but your production value with increase 10 fold and your customers will really appreciate it.

Good, no-frills burgers to power up before a night of drinking. The sodas tasted weird, but everything was super affordable. A good value, and great for drunk food or families.

Came to Joshua tree to camp for the weekend and ended up at Andreas after Unilocaling restaurants nearby. At first we assumed we ordered at the front and took a number, but it’s full service and just pay in the front, which was surprising considering the fact that the waitress also mans the fryer. We had the mushroom burger with zucchini fries and the double cheeseburger with chili cheese fries. I’d give the food 4 stars and the service bumps it to the 5 stars given. Waitress was very cheerful and nice. Made us feel like regulars and came to check on us twice during the meal(which is perfect in my books). We will definitely come back next time we’re in the area. Hopefully, we can come for some breakfast cause it looks amazing

The pictures of this place are a pretty accurate depiction. The waitress was very sweet and accommodating. We came for breakfast en route to Joshua Tree, and it is pretty much what you would expect. A basic breakfast. Nothing out of the ordinary or extraordinary. The ambience is definitely a little strange, as there is a separate exterior enclave with a window to the interior enclave, and some strange wall décor. Again, for what it is, it is decent.

We stopped here during our desert escape. The small town charm was delightful. The wait staff made us feel like regulars. The burger choices were plentiful. I got an avocado burger that was deliciously charred and stacked with toppings. All the veggies were fresh and delicious. The fries and onions rings were amazing. They were fried to perfection and I couldn’t stop myself from eating them all. Don’t miss onion rings or fries here. It was a delicious meal on our way out of town.

We spent a week here in Twentynine Palms and our mornings began at Andrea’s Trephon, the cook, and Christine, the waitress, always greeted us with a smile and a conversation. The clientele were the same local gentlemen who sat in «their» spot. Sam and the others have probably been coming here for breakfast for years. The food didn’t disappoint either. We didn’t have a bad meal. The breakfasts and charbroiled hamburgers we great. If you find yourself in Twentynine Palms, Andrea’s a treat.

The burgers here are soooo good! They put homemade thousand island dressing on them and also grilled onion if ya like… and your choice of zucchini fries or French Fries, both of which are perfectly cooked and not greasy. Had a great root beer float today too, which totally hit the spot in our 106 temperature! Give Andreas a try!!! It’s the Orange A frame building just east of Adobe and Hwy 62 in 29 Palms!!! They serve breakfast all day also!
