My husband and I stopped in here for dinner tonight and had a great meal. The sever was really nice and food very tasty. We often go for sushi at a place in NJ but found Tuxedo Sushi to be of the same quality and at a better price. When we have our next sushi craving this is where we are going!

So delicious and fresh. Great service and food. Something for everyone, one of our favorite celebration spots. The takeout is excellent as well. Nothing I would change.

I am a vegetarian and they wowed me with their specialty vegetarian roll!!! Then I had an asparagus, avocado cucumber roll. The food was so amazing. I have had tons of sushi over the years and this place is among the top! They are so keen on the details that they even hand roast their sesame seeds, which was a lovely fine detail that I definitely noticed. It added such a nice extra dimension. The miso soup was honestly delicious. Better than your common miso. Not sure how they did that one, but kudos. Ok, so, I splurged and also got their fried ice cream. They have a pretty cool name for it that I forgot. This, too was special. The ice cream was a lovely texture and the crust was easy to cut with my spoon and mouth melting delish. Can I add that they have access to Optimum wifi and so I came to also do some work as long as they weren’t too busy. Staff is friendly and attentive. I am a super happy customer.

This place seriously deserves the 5 star rating. I have been to every sushi place in the orange county, mr sushi in middletown being the best rated still dosent compare in fish quality and portion size. even creativity… and the hot food is actually really good. First time I have felt the need to write a review.

Cute cozy ambience. The lunch specials are great, lots of diverse choices. I got the sashimi bibimbop without any expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a generous serving of salad, sashimi pieces, apples, avocado, other veggies with rice and spicy sauce on the side. Not what comes to mind when I think of bibimbop but I liked that it was light. My mom got the kalbi which was flavorful but kind of tough. The brown rice here is really good, more like sticky purple rice. I’d definitely go back when in the are.

Love Tuxedo sushi; best quality, very fresh. My favorite roll is the Crazy Roll. I love the broth of the Dumpling Soup andddd the Fried Ice Cream is super yummy!

Stopped here after going to the Renaissance Faire. The place is pretty small, but we were lucky enough to get seated. Orderd the sashimi bibimbap and ramen. The food was good and liked the fact they had a kids meal. I do have one complaint. While the waiters were polite, the waiter failed to notice that one of the meals didn’t come out. Opted not to wait for it after the rest of us had finished eating. Normally, I would consider that a big mistake, but liked the food enough that I would go back if I’m in the area.

Great sushi spot in tuxedo. It is right across from the tuxedo train station. The staff is very nice and helpful. They were very welcoming even as we came within an hour of closing. We had the park ave roll, fire roll and the veggie roll. All were great! I would highly recommend.

A nice place to stop after a long hike in the area. The service is on point and our entire group enjoyed their dishes. I ordered a Chef Bento box with sushi, pork dumplings, salad and miso soup. Everything was good. While I don’t think this is the best sushi I’ve had and it’s a bit overpriced, it’s definitely a solid place to go in the area.

5* food; 4* service; 3* décor. Will go there again, for the food. The highlight was the appetizer Hawaiian Poki Plate, which was pleasantly hot, as in cayenne pepper and/or Jalapeño. This raw tuna appetizer is served with a tasty citrus sauce, avocado and sliced apple. The avocado salad was a pleasant surprise due to the variety of vegetables on the plate – broccoli, snap peas, green beans and red pepper, in addition to the field greens and avocado; the ginger dressing was very tasty. I liked that the rice on my salmon sushi was served warm. Our waiter, Jose, was knowledgeable and helpful. The only things about Tuxedo Sushi that annoyed me are the hard wooden chairs and the absence of fresh-brewed iced tea.

We stopped here on the way home after a long walk at Storm King and were very impressed with the creative and interesting menu. Everything was yummy and prepared exactly to our liking. Even our kids gobbled down the spicy crab appetizer and all of their sushi. The servers were wonderful and accommodated all of our special requests. Tuxedo Sushi tied a bow around a delicious day.

We came here on a Saturday night to visit our friend Jay, whose the new owner and head sushi chef. He used to chef at our regular sushi place, so we figured to make the drive and give it a shot. Leaving surprised, impressed, and full to the brim, the least I could do was leave a 5-star review to get more people in the door. For a little place, it was pretty packed, but there was constant movement. Service was fast and friendly. Together we tried some rolls(avocado, the Bulgogi roll, the supreme yellowtail) and their ramen — all of which were delicious, perfectly spiced & sized. We’ll definitely be back — maybe on a Sunday(which is new to the restaurant) next time!

Tried their lunch special — sashimi bento — it was excellent and only $ 10.50. My wife tried sushi bento and she loved it too. They have much better food compare to my town’s Japanese restaurants. I don’t mind additional 10~15 min driving for good food and will try dinner next time. I liked their Asian authentic interior also along with waitress’ services.

We had some time to kill before catching the train home after hiking in Harriman. The wait staff totally did not care that we were dirty and sweaty. The sushi came out fast and was surprisingly good. The white dragon roll was slightly heavy on the eel sauce, but the fish tasted fresh and flavorful. This place does not look like much from the outside, but it is definitely worth a stop.

Oh Tuxedo Sushi — I had such great hopes… So — first visit — solid sushi, decent service, well-deserving of a second visit. Second trip-we waited nearly an hour for our food, which we, in fact, had to take to go, because we had somewhere else to be(a fact we apprised the waiter of as soon as we sat down). No apologies, no updates, not even an offer to take anything off the bill for our inconvenience. One of my dining companions had to get up and find the waiter 3 times to ask what was going on, and all she got was«We’re very busy». So sorry, but you really dropped the ball. The only reason it’s 2 stars instead of 1, and they might get a third shot? The sushi was decent when we finally got to eat it.

Went on a hike at bear mountain with friends and we emerged from the woods hungry. Picked this place since it was about 2 miles away. This place is great. HUGE portions, much bigger than any other sushi joint I’ve been to. The waiter actually advised me to order one roll(I ordered the crazy roll and spicy salmon hand roll) first to gauge their portion size which I would also recommend if you’re not a huge eater. Will definitely go back when I’m in the area!

Creative sushi rolls, wonderful waitstaff/sushi chefs, BYOB, and clean. Another great find by Jazzo. There were no tables available when we arrived last night so we decided to sit at the bar. I typically order chirashi when I go out for sushi, but I was very intrigued by Tuxedo Sushi’s creative specialty rolls. We decided to give it a whirl and split a few: — Gyoza for appetizer… lightly pan fried and very satisfying — Yellowtail hand rolls… huge chunks of fresh yellowtail — Rainbow roll…8 large pieces and melt-in-your-mouth good — White tuna/cream cheese/asparagus roll…9 pieces. This was deep fried(the menu didn’t state this) but it was insanely good. It came with a special soy/ginger/scallion dipping sauce — Eel/avocado/spicy tuna roll…8 huge and delicious pieces — Salmon/yellowtail/tuna sushi… insanely huge pieces… the largest I’ve ever been served Nice bang for your buck here — our bill was $ 58. They do not skimp on size nor do they skimp on quality. Well worth trying!
