Song’s Alterations

Went in to drop off pants to have them hemmed and the lady at the front took 10 minutes just to acknowledge me and was on the phone the whole time. Never got off the phone and didn’t seem like she was paying attention to the detail at all.

I am getting married this month and tried on easily 20 dresses before finding the dress I loved. I tried on a size 10 and felt that it fit well but the shop pushed me to order an 8. When I picked it up, it was too small and would not zip up. I was told by their tailor it would fit as long as I just lost weight and to not worry about the tight neck and to «just deal with it». Needless to say, we decided not to use their tailor and took it to Susie since my mom has used her for years. Susie took one look and knew exactly what we needed and days later I could fit in the dress (no weight lost!), the neck was no longer irritating (she added a smooth silk layer to protect my neck from beading), AND it still looked beautiful. In addition, the dress had to be hemmed but the scalloped lace bottom needed to be preserved. I was really worried about this change but I literally could not tell there was a change other than the change in length — and it was perfect! There were other intricacies I was worried about (e.g., the back cut outs not laying flat) as well but told myself not to be too picky, but Susie did everything I wanted and more! The dress fits perfectly and has the easiest one-​button bustle of which my bridesmaids were in awe (you can kind of see it in the mirror in the picture).
I highly recommend Susie for wedding dress alterations — she is not only highly skilled but also very friendly and dedicated to making you happy with your dress for your big day.

I have used Alterations by Song for over ten years now. Susie is the best tailor I have ever used. She is a highly skilled seamstress and always makes things fit just right. The reason I am writing this review is because Susie just finished altering my daughter’s wedding dress and did a fantastic job on some very difficult alterations. The dress was beautiful when we bought it but Susie’s handiwork made it look like it was custom made just for my daughter. We are both so pleased.

I have been coming here for many years. I have had casual clothes altered to fit me in between sizes, repairs as well as several adjustments to several outfits after weight loss and just simple hems. Also my daughter has had alterations done to her winter formal dress and we are about to have her prom dress altered as well.
Great turn around, very fair prices as well! Such great service very satisfied! I recommend her to everyone!

Brought in my very expensive wedding dress for alterations. My Alfred Angelo sleeping beauty dress needed hemming, and the bodice needed to be brought in and shortened and boning taken out. So a lot of of work! She did an absolutely amazing job and in such a short amount of time. Don’t look anywhere else for alterations, go here, you won’t be disappointed!!!

I have been going here for years. I take both my vintage and modern clothing in to be altered here. The customer service is always excellent; the owner is so friendly and knowledgeable. The work is done promptly and I am never disappointed. The prices are also very reasonable. I most definitely recommend this place!

I was stunned to see that this place has no reviews! I was so happy with what is doing for my vow renewal dress that I had to get online and write something for all her hard work. I have lived in Tustin my whole life and this is the only place I will ever go! She is fast, always reasonable and so sweet! I have used her for all kinds of alterations, from my daughters cheer uniforms to my dresses! I love her! Don’t go anywhere else!
