Went here for dinner and it was incredible. The dishes we ordered were so good and our server(possibly the owner?) was so kind. The restaurant was basically empty so definitely would recommend coming here for dinner if you want a quieter environment.

The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best Indian food I’ve had so far. The staff was very friendly too. I would’ve given it a 5-star; however, there are some points deducted for: 1. The wait time: it took them almost 25 minutes for the food to come out. 2. The price and the portion(we went there for dinner). I paid $ 12.99 for my lamb korma and 11.99 for my chicken tikka masala; the taste was great, but the portion was meager. 3. The ambiance. I normally don’t care that much about the ambience if the food is delicious. As I have mentioned, their food was great. But for the price, I would have expected more generous servings and/or better ambiance.

It’s probably closer to 3.5. I really wanted to like this place, based on the reviews and all of the delicious looking pictures. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I wasn’t particularly wow’ed by anything. Each of the curries included in the Thali platter was good/fine, but seemed to lack the richness and deep flavor that I think great Indian food is known for. In a way, it seemed«watered down» the consistency was a lot thinner than other curries I’ve tried. Service was good though. It was a small place, but every seat was filled. They had 2 waiters on a Saturday afternoon, so it was a little bit of waiting around, but I know they were doing their best. Very friendly, polite, and as attentive as they could be. It might be a place that I’d consider going back to if I happened to be in the area(can’t complain about the price!), but I don’t think I would go out of my way. The search for the perfect Thali continues.

Let me start by saying I LOVE Indian food and I try it wherever I go. Today a long time friend suggested we try an Indian restaurant neither of us had ever been to before. We picked Rasoi Curry Point and it turned out to be the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten, anywhere… When you walk in the front door, the first thing that hits you are the smells coming from the kitchen which were captivating, and when they brought out our«thali» platters full of all sorts of different dishes, the presentation was amazing. Each of the items were unbelievably good and to top it off, they come around all the time to offer you more of whatever you want. I can’t wait to come back!

DELICIOUS!!! We went here to get their«Thali plate» which is a 5-entrée(the entrees of the day are on the board, but they also tell you what they are) platter with rice and naan and their sauces. Vegetarians should also ask for that option because they can accommodate it. Anyway, each and every entrée is refillable, so you can eat all you want. The food is delicious and the service was absolutely excellent. The day we went, they were having their biryani festival, where they also gave 5 samples of their biryani — shrimp, vegetable curry, goat, chicken, and egg. It was excellent and a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

Never had any issues with my meals. They servers are very kind and eager to work. I always feel as ease and relaxed when dining. Always a welcoming experiencing. The owner is very humble and remembers me when I go. Glad to see they are growing. Friends that I have brought also appreciated the hospitality and favorable food

I came for dinner. They have normal indian food but the interesting items are the chinese indian food(chinese food made with indian spices). I loved the curry that I had. Very, very spicy but absolutely wonderful. Tastes really homemade. Service was good and feels really mom and pop. I plan on coming back for the lunch(a lot of people comment on how it’s so great).

I had this place bookmarked for a while and recently came to know that they have vegetarian and non-vegetarian thali plate. Their thali plate is dine-in ONLY. I was on the way and wanted to get to-go so ordered briyani and an appetizer. Item was ready in about 10 minutes. Chicken briyani portion size was good and plenty of white meat(unlike dark meat used in most of the restaurants). I was bit disappointed with the lack of flavor to the rice. Needed some salt and more briyani spice to it. Without their side dish of raita(yogurt) and curry I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy it much. Got their paneer tikka for appetizer. Plenty of paneer cubes and again lacked the tandoori flavor to it. It was very bland. I definitely do want to try this restaurant again for their thali platter. Plenty of parking space(front and back of the building) and it is bit hidden in the strip mall.

A great meal and thali experience! I’ve had thali only once before and what I love about it is the variety you can get in one sitting. This place was a better experience for me because I got refills of my favorites dishes! Ok, so let me quickly explain the AYCE thali concept here. So you know those places where service is great and part of why you notice this, is because they’re good about filling your water cup? Well, it’s like that here, except with food. 5 stars — Service. Here, they do a great job of keeping an eye out to come by your table and check in to see what you want refilled. Then they bring it out to you and serve it. No buffet table here. Service has gotta be on point with a place like this. And they were! 4 stars — Vegetarian Thali. This included 5 curries, thin and crispy naan, samosa, rice, and it was accompanied by raita, mint chutney, tamarind sauce, and dessert. I really liked 3 of the 5 curries: green bean, peas and paneer, and potato. The potato one was so good and spicy that I had three servings of it! The other two were just all right, they didn’t blow me away. I liked the dessert option a lot, a rice pudding. Most Indian buffets have the standard usual options that can get mundane for someone who enjoys Indian food like me. Here though, I felt like I was expanding my taste for Indian with the amount of variety and the new dishes I got to try. What a great food experience!

I want to like Rasoi more but it was just okay. On a busy weekend, there was only 1 waiter when we arrived. He was very attentive and friendly and working his butt off but there was only so much he can do. This is made worse because the AYCE was not self serve like every other Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The owner started helping out and there was a 3rd person helping by the time we left. Other than having to ask for a few things repeatedly, service was not the issue. Actually the service ended up being a plus. What was disappointing was the food. The chicken in all the dishes we tried, including a chicken tikka masala entrée, was very dry(overcooked). The issue is partly due to the use of white meat which is not as forgiving to being overcooked. The naan didn’t taste like it was made fresh even though I’m sure it was. It was curious why they went to the use of small cups to serve the AYCE. Perhaps it allows them to offer a more limited selection. Perhaps less food is consumed using this format. Other than creating a hassle of having to ask for extra helpings, I didn’t see any upside from the customers perspective. I will say that they stopped by frequently offering refills so I never felt any negative vibes. So there are a lot of competition for Indian buffet. I don’t know if Rasoi is one of my favorites.

They had 5 entrees that are little bit no biggie, an appetizer, rice, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney and a rice dessert. Two out of 5 dishes were decent. One was potato and the other vegetable Panora(I think :)) the appetizer was a potato dumpling and that was good. The garlic naan was ok. The meat dishes lacked flavor and the chicken was way over cooked. One was green and another was orange. The dessert was different maybe an acquired taste. Overall luckily the dishes change daily and I hope you don’t get what I got and I’m so sorry I have no idea the dishes names. The place is very small but there are tables outside. The staff wasn’t that attentive until their crowd of 12 was dwindling. They also gave my plate to a customer who came in after me and I had to tell them that it was mine. I also had to wait awhile before they were serving more of the curries since it is a strange AYCE Indian restaurant for lunch of course. All in all I will not be coming back. Sorry Rasoi your just not my cup of tea.

YAAAAAAAAZZZZZ! Goodbye Indian buffets forever! This is my new favorite go to Indian spot. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by someone who seemed to be the owner with huge enthusiasm and smiles. He was incredibly genuine and eager to explain the menu to us. They offer vegan options and make all the spices in house! Don’t bother ordering anything but their thali platter($ 9.99). This platter is only available for lunch 11−3PM and cannot be shared with anyone else. We thought it wouldn’t be enough food and tried to order an appetizer, but since it was our first time the waiter suggested we stick with the platter first. Thank God we did. With the thali platter, you get an appetizer, 5 entrees, a bowl of rice, garlic naan, raita, 2 chutneys, and a dessert. You cannot pick the entrees and the platter changes daily. My favorite was their veggie korma! The most amazing thing about this platter is that it turned out to be AYCE… which explains why it cannot be shared by anyone else! My friend and I were in absolutely shock when the server came out and refilled our entrees! After the meal, I felt like my stomach was going to explode from all the curry I consumed. The only mildly negative comment I have to make about this place is that I wish their naan was a little less dry, but not a big problem since it was delicious with the curry anyways. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you like Indian food. The server made us feel incredibly welcomed and always checked up to see if we needed anything. I cannot rave enough about how amazing their curry was(a little on the spicier side if your’e someone who can’t take the heat). My friend and I love it so much, we’re still thinking about it a few hours later. We’re even contemplating on going to get it again tomorrow!

I had never heard of Thali before but I wholeheartedly trusted Katie T. when she suggested it for lunch. We went for a 1:30pm lunch on a Saturday and Rasoi is pretty small; there were a couple other diners there, but the staff(maybe owner?) were very kind and inviting. So thali is basically a meal made up of various dishes. We got the AYCE lunch special with chicken and it’s such a steal($ 10)! Garlic naan is delicious and you get to try a little of everything they have to offer– savory & sweet(my favorites were the chicken curry and chicken tikka masala). Such a great place for people wanting to sample different Indian dishes!

So in my review for another restaurant, I mentioned I don’t find too many truly excellent dining experiences serving Indian cuisine. Scratch that. I’ve been on a run of awesome Indian restaurants. Rasoi was fantastic! Came here for lunch and had their Lunch Special Thali Platter. A smörgåsbord of several dishes with seemingly endless refills for less than ten bucks. Heck yeah. Every item was amazing(except for a soup-like dish which was OK – but I don’t like soup anyway, so I’m not knocking them for that). Nothing was overpoweringly spicy and all of the flavors were robust. Perfectly executed. And a special mention to the owners/staff. Wonderful people who genuinely care to ensure you enjoy your experience. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back.

After being so indecisive searching on Unilocal for a dinner spot on a weeknight, my boyfriend and I settled on Rasoi Curry Point. It did not disappoint! It is tucked away in the wayyyy back of the El Camino Plaza(in the same plaza as Acai Republic and Cream Pan). It was pretty empty for a weeknight around 7:30 but service was quick and friendly! Must try Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. Id love to come back during lunch for their all you can eat! It looks DELISH!

You can’t beat their $ 9.99 lunch special, which is essentially all you can eat. For my first visit, I got the«chicken» themed dish. This comes with 5 different small bowls — chicken tikka masala, paneer masala, soup, a vegetarian curry, and one other chicken dish(spicy); in addition, it is served with rice, naan, a samosa, a fried dessert and you have a variety of dipping sauces(see photo). I really liked the paneer masala and the chicken tikka dishes — flavorful and delicious. Once you are done, you can let the serve know that you would like more; they’ll come back and refill that dish and you keep eating. Service was top notch… wait staff never let you get to the point where you woudl have to flag him down. I believe the owner also came out at one point and greeted all the guests and thanked them for coming.

Super small inside if you eat in. Super friendly family owned! I first tried this place because of a groupon deal but I really enjoyed it! Chicken Marsala was great! Also tried a spinach chicken dish which was great! Garlic naan is yum! Definitely worth a try! I always take to go though.

Solid lunch special. Just 1 Thali plate is filing enough but you get unlimited refills on anything. The staff is very attentive and frequently fill up you plate. Mango lassi was very good. Thick and creamy. Perfect sweetness I tried the: Egg curry: one of my favorites. Slightly spicy and unexpectedly good! Palak paneer: amazing! Garlic naan: I really like how you can taste the garlic Dahl: not bad Rice: just ok Chicken korma: the chicken was kind of dry Raita: amazing! Dessert was some kind of cashew rice pudding and it was delicious Overall, very good lunch for the price. If I came back, I would probably stick with the veg only plate.

My friend recommended this place and I’ve been craving Indian food lately. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place. It is a tiny place located in the corner by snow station and kitajima restaurant. The owner was very courteous and friendly. We ordered: Garlic naan — fresh, crispy, and sliced in portions which is convenient. Lamb korma –spicy and flavorful cuts of tender lamb. My favorite dish! Chicken tikka masala — creamy bites of chicken, the way chicken is supposed to taste, amazing! Prices were good considering the high quality of food and customer service. *Update* Just went to try their lunch on Sunday! I highly recommend their thali platter for lunch if you are curious and want to try their food. At $ 8.99 for ayce lunch platter, it is such a great deal! We were full after one plate though. For Valentine’s Day, we also got a variety of parata bread, each flavorful and delicious with the curry. The curries had a nice kick to them and we were definitely sweating from the heat! The plates each have appetizer, variety of curries, rice, and dessert. Each curry is so flavorful and light, not greasy and heavy like other places. My boyfriend was sold on this place after trying it! The staff here are so attentive and friendly. We are definitely coming back on a regular basis to try more dishes!

Lunch buffet for $ 8.99! Very fresh Indian food made from scratch because they cook everything in small batches. Instead of getting up to get your own food, the waiters bring out a variety of different dishes to you. There’s a chicken and a vegetarian option. Of course, I got chicken. And I’m glad I did because the chicken was moist and delicious! Since I’m a girl who can’t handle spice, I’m sad that most of the dishes were spicy. However, I just gravitated towards the non-spicy dishes and the garlic naan was really great too. And best of all, I loved the rice pudding that just cooled my palate at the end of the meal. The owner was super welcoming and always brought out dishes to refill ours. Love the service and love the food! If only I could handle spice better…
