Food is always on point. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I come here a lot. I sit in the bar area and let me tell you Ally is just amazing she checks all tables with a smile on her face, amazing customer service and speed and still jumps behind the bar and works her craft. 5 stars just for her service if I could give more I would

Had their stout. It was very cold. Most stouts are better cool not cold. After warming it it got better. It should be served at a warmer temperature. Had the fish and chips. Fish was haddock not cod and was good. The thin fries were good. On the plate was something called coleslaw. It was mainly thinly sliced cabbage. Not seasoned — I understand not wanting to salt it ahead of time and causing it to get soggy, so what should you do, why season it at serving time. This was not done, there was no hint of mayonnaise or any other kind of oil although there was a slight oilyness when rubbed between the fingers. There was no reasoning or flavoring. It was awful and a waste as it could not be eaten and should either be fixed or removed from the plate.

Its been a while since we came in, as we have moved, but DAMNGINA — you guys still kill it. I had the Mac ‘n Cheese, as well as the deviled eggs — WOW. I wish I could remember our waiters name, great guy. Keep it up, see you guys soon!!!

My friends & I decided to randomly come here as we were walking around the District at Tustin & had an overall ok experience. FOOD: — spinach artichoke dip(7⁄10) This was just average but the server was nice enough to offer us more chips to dip after seeing that we still had lots of dip left with barely any chips. — chicken lettuce wrap(8⁄10) I surprisingly liked this a lot! It’s a pretty large portion of food despite it being an appetizer and comes with a LOT of lettuce. It was really filling though & I couldn’t finish more than half of it but I’d definitely recommend it! DRINKS: — moscow mule(6⁄10) This is my go-to drink to order at bars & restaurants but I just didn’t enjoy the one they made here. The ginger flavor was just a tad bit too strong & I think the only place that really nails it is the one at Yardhouse. They do take your ID though in exchange for the copper cup because of their new policy to prevent customers from stealing the cups. BEWARNEDTHOUGH: my server forgot to give my ID back to me at the end of the night resulting in me having to return the next day to retrieve it. SERVICE: Our server gave us A+ service the entire night! She checked up on me well & was super friendly too. I just wish she had remembered to give me back my ID so I didn’t have to make another trip to come back the next day to get it. Overall, a decent restaurant with a CPK/Yardhouse type of feel. I probably will sticking to the new Union Marketplace in the same plaza next time that I return to this plaza though ~

I came here with my parents for a pre Mother’s Day celebration. It was not very busy for a Saturday night so we were seated right away. The waiter we had was very nice and very efficient with our orders. I had JTs Orange County Cooler to drink and it was very fruity, definitely recommend it! We had the calamari and fried green beans for appetizers and then I had the fish and chips for my main entrée. I was all super delicious and the sauces that they serve with all of their meals were unique but really good! Complimented the food really well. It was my first time here and overall it was very nice. The ambiance is both classy yet relaxed. Next time I’d like to sit outside at the fire pit with is in the middle of a bar. Perfect place for going out with friends!

Been here a few times for business lunches and for happy hour in their private room. Lunch has always been decent. The food isn’t very memorable, but there’s something on the menu for everyone. My company recently hosted a happy hour in the private room. There were about 30 of us and it was very comfortable with plenty of seating(with tables and booths). They set up the appetizers buffet style off to the side and waiters were constantly taking our drink orders. I tried a couple of their in house brews and they were pretty good.

I get the Wild Mushroom and Chicken Pasta and add shrimp. Omg it is amazing! Highly recommend coming here. Also, they are open until midnight Thursday, Friday, and Saturday which is nice.

This place is located in The District, and it was pretty easy to find parking at lunch, albeit you might have to walk a bit because The District can get a little crowded during peak hours. Some coworkers and I came here for lunch and I had the Good House Burger. It had a fried egg, bacon, cheese and the meat patty. It was okay, the meat patty itself was good, but it wasn’t anything too special. Overall the meal was«good» but not unique, special or all that memorable. It hits the spot but isn’t some place I would go out of my way to get to.

My two favorite things to order here: green bean fries which are basically deep fried green beans and sweet potato fries which are exactly what they sound like except covered in cinnamon sugar deliciousness. The last time I was here they were sold out and it seriously ruined my whole day. I go here for the fries. They also have a good selection of beers on tap.

When I come to visit my daughter in Irvine, there’s a great brewery only a few miles from UCI which is JT Schmidt Brewery in Tustin, California. It’s located in Park avenue called The District. It’s a nice outside shopping area with cool places like Tustin Wholefoods, Native foods, Sharkys Mexican grill, 5 guys burger etc. All the eating establishments I’ve checked out at the district before I became a Unilocaler. Back to JT Schmidt. I came here today to get their vegan burger. Yes you heard right a vegan burger. It’s one of my favorites at this place next to the Hawaiin burger. I came in all eager and excited but unfortunately the waitress said they weren’t serving it that day. So I ordered my back up burger which is the Hawaiin. My wife ordered a jambalaya with a 22oz IPA. I was totally bummed. Came all the way from Vacaville and not get my vegan burger. Oh well next time. Our food came in less than ten minutes and my burger was a perfect medium rare and very juicy specially with the pineapple. My wife complained of the jambalaya being hot. Jambalaya is suppose to be spicy. She struggled to finish it and she gave me the other half of the plate. She said it was delicious but it was just too spicy for her. I finish up my Hawaiian burger and then the jambalaya. Our waitress came to our table often to check up on us. The staff the JT Schmidt is pretty courteous. They always greeted you and smiled. I will come back to JT soon maybe around May of this year to get my vegan burger. It’s that good. Stay tune for that review.

Three stars because I have been here before and I have had better food. The last meal here was more like one star. The chicken breast was drenched in Teriyaki sauce, one of the sauces served on the side was also sweet, way too much sugar for an actual meal, that wasn’t dessert.

I have been here several time now for happy hour. The place is okay, it is your average American chain with a tavern style. You will find old men sitting in the patio smoking cigars on the weekdays and huge crowds during happy hour on Fridays. Burger and beer is always a good choice. I had the dumb blonde ale, it was refreshing and light. Happy hour menu changed recently, they have categories where it’s a certain amount of dollars off regular menu price. Oh and try the $ 20 burger. Daaaamnn it was so worth it. It was stacked.

I had a great experience when I came here with my company for our holiday lunch. We were seated a little bit prior to our reservation time and despite how large our group was, our one waitress handled everything quickly and efficiently. She accidentally swap two of my coworkers order but it was nothing big. Very old-fashioned décor with dark wooden walls and furniture’s, which makes for a comforting and relaxing atmosphere. We were seated in a room with another party but it didn’t feel stuffy nor loud. I ordered the nut crusted halibut. The halibut was very moist and soft and I like the crunchy, nutty layer on the outside, but aside from that there wasn’t much flavor to the fish. I love garlic mashed potatoes, but the one served here didn’t tasted that garlicky to me at all so it was rather bland as well. The one thing I do love about this dish is the pineapple mango salsa. That was bomb. The dish itself was decent but I feel it could use more seasoning or flavor. An appealing place for large parties and for drinking if that’s what you are looking for!

Came here for a Christmas gathering with 8 girls. Atmosphere: holiday appropriate Food: the green bean fries was the only good thing. I ordered prime rib and they insisted the rib-eye they served was actually prime rib! Really?! It was Christmas, so I just smile and ate whatever meat that was. The meat was not good. Services: our server tried, but didn’t pass. Can’t find him most of the time. The other servers wouldn’t even make eye contact with you. Ended up walking to the receptionist area twice to ask for a server to come by our table. Forgot my friend beer, and after three separate requests the beer finally arrived at the very end of the meal. He did take the beer off the bill because of that. Ordered an Arnold Palmer and got an ice tea. I won’t be back anytime soon…

Whole foods Hangar was closed so we came here to eat instead. Good place to grab a beer and have a nice dinner. This place isn’t too crowded, and our server was nice. You’re greeted by a host that shows you to your table. There’s nice booths inside or tables, whichever you prefer. The food is average. We ordered the tortilla soup, wings, wedge salad with blue cheese, and killer steak tacos. The tacos had a star next to it(meaning it’s their best seller). They were good, melted cheese on top with grilled onions and juicy steak. Everything else was good, but not great. They brew their own beers, so I tried their IPA and their pale ale. The IPA was a bit too floral for me and not as hoppy as an IPA should be. The pale ale was a bit more hoppy and was delicious.

Came for a company holiday lunch and ordered the 16 oz rib-eye steak. It was blackened and cooked to a perfect medium. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was a decent dish, but I don’t think rib-eye steak is my thing. It’s a bit too fatty, but that’s what a rib-eye is like, right? I made a difficult and highly unsuccessful attempt to kill the entire steak! But I came close, with less than 1⁄5 of the steak remaining. We also had some nachos and tacos as appetizers. What makes this place get 4 stars than the usual 3 given to a decent spot? The open bar they featured during lunch hour. Not sure if it was special for our company holiday gathering, but that glass of Midori sour made my day even though it was the wrong order and I had actually wanted a negroni. It was my sad excuse for food coma after lunch and sleep in the office.

Caught the tail end of their happy hour with some friends and I thought it was OK. Nothing remarkable but nothing bad, either. We sat out on their patio at the firepit table and it was a nice ambiance. I had a pint of their seasonal Oktoberfest beer and the spinach and artichoke dip – pretty good. Very generous portions on that dip; enough for at least 8 people! Our server was nice and was on the ball most of the time with bringing things out in a timely manner. If there’s another HH gathering here I wouldn’t hesitate to go but not sure if I’d seek it out on my own. STEPHJUDGEMENT: Good place for happy hour if you’re in the area.

Came here around 6PM on a Friday evening, just in time to catch happy hour. Minimal wait time. Our server was okay, one moment he was interactive and fun, the next he totally forgot about us and we had to flag him down to remind him of our drinks and other items. The food is a hit or miss here: Ceviche tacos — hit. This is a good appetizer for those that aren’t super hungry. The mini tacos with a good ceviche filing. Not authentic bomb ceviche but satisfying enough for an American twist. I’d order this again. Tater tots — miss. It literally was a huge basket of tater tots with a ketchup siracha dipping sauce. You could of easily shared this with 4 – 5 people, but the tots lacked a lot of seasoning or even flavor for that matter. Tempura green beans — miss. Deep fried breadcrumbs doesn’t make it a tempura batter. Ate a couple and then pushed them to the side. Ahi tuna Tartare — miss. The salad under the tuna tasted better than the tartare. Yikes. Didn’t taste fresh at all. Truffle fries — hit. Fresh, crunchy, good seasoning. The size is one to one. Overall, okay. OH, but the manager(I’m assuming since he was wearing a beige sweater) has really good customer service. Thumbs up to him.

Up until last night, I’d only been here for Happy Hour. Haven’t really been impressed with the food but to be fair, it’s been«bar food»(nachos, etc.). So when we met some friends here last night, I was in a quandary about what to order. Eventually, I settled on the Awesome BLTA with eggs added. I have to say, I was happy with my choice. The sandwich was simple but it was also HUGE. I ended up eating just a third of it and packing it for home. When I disassembled it for lunch today, I realized it literally contained a WHOLE avocado in it. I also ordered truffle fries as my side(couldn’t resist anything that has the word«truffle» in it). Yummy… they were shoe string and garlicky as well. The place wasn’t busy at all… but it was lively enough. Our handsome server(sorry, forgot his name) was pretty friendly, attentive and did a good job all around. I didn’t give this place enough credit and I was pleasantly surprised.
