My comment is simple… yes, do eat here. Order the chiliverde. Period!!! The birria is pretty damn good too!

This is kind of a weird place in that, to be kind, I did not care for most of the things I’ve tried(granted, limited to two different types of burrito). The portions are generous but the food was very uncomfortably bland. I wish they would spice things up a bit or at least use a bit more salt, and I’m not someone who likes my food too salty. I am giving them a high rating though because their tacos al pastor are the best I have tasted so far in my life. They are incredibly savory, flavorful, and spicy, and even with that description I don’t quite think I do them justice. Really delicious. The staff is always nice too.

So so food, decent portions, but who cares how much they give you when it’s just so so?

I just moved around the corner and currently using the local laundromats ’til the new machines come in. This place has an authentic ethnic feel. People are smiling in the back and it has a nice neighborhood ambiance. The regulars trickle in greeting each other warmly in Spanish. I had the special, which is a massive wet burrito, both in size and taste. As a duke of a del taco, I’m no authority on good Mexican but for a regular Joe Californian, this place is pretty awesome. You’re not here for the sanitary clinical feel of a place in like many places in nearby Irvine. But if you’re looking for a relatively good Mexican lunch(the menu’s in Spanish, appropriately) you’re in the right place.

I was taken here today and it is a great little hole in the wall. I was warned of this, but after visiting the tiny off the beaten path strip mall and seeing it only has 4 reviews via Unilocal i really get it. With that said, i am sure no one will see my review, but i plan on going back and would recommend this place. Keep into perspective, this place is a REAL hole in the wall. Don’t tell me i didn’t warn you. You need to come here for the food and nothing else! Chicken Burrito– The chicken was shredded and very nice and moist with great flavor. The beans and rice could have been the best i’ve ever had. I will need to try them alone, but in the burrito and could tell they were superb. The tortilla was nice and fresh and soft, just how it should be. Highly recommended! I really wanted to try the sopes. Next visit i am definitely going to try them. I look forward to a return visit for more items, but in the mean time i loved my first visit. *****(5 Stars) — Amazing, zero flaws, a must go!(Not given often) ****(4 Stars) — Memorable, strongly feel you should visit ***(3 Stars) — Above average, worth a visit **(2 Stars) — Average, some pro’s and some con’s *(1 Star) — Opinion is do not go, below average

Not really that good, u think there’s better places. They are stingy with the napkins, salsa and ice. Their salsas taste like crap, literally they are like water with a little bit of tomato and chili yuck! I only go there if I’m starving and don’t have food at home and I don’t wanna go somewhere far.

I do a lot of traveling for my work and enjoy eating at new spots, especially if there’s a Mexican hole in the wall spot. If you come across this place run.

this place isnt for the weak or inexperienced stomach. Its authentic and has no frills but good home cooked food. If you cannot speak Spanish bring a friend who can speak or refresh yourself in ordering in Spanish… it will go a lot smoother. They have the usual tacos, burritos, and tortas, but what this place is known for is the stews and meats. Costillas De Puerco is a must have… meat(pork) is tender full of flavor and spice and comes with a heaping mound of fluffy rice and well seasoned beans. If youre looking for a quick eat… you cannot go wrong with al pastor tacos.

Tiny little mexican joint on Pasadena Ave, the entrance street to the 55N off Walnut/McFadden. I ordered a simple Carne Asada burrito for my drive. The burrito could have been wrapped better, but it wasn’t bad. The food was prepared somewhere in the back, where I get suspicious about quality and cleanliness. Still, the food was decent, the price was under $ 5 with tax. Meat was standard affair, the rice nice and fluffy, and the portions filling. I’ll likely revisit this place, but probably when I’m on my way to the 55N and needing a quick meal on the go.
