The Very Very BEST place to go and eat in Old Town Tustin. All of the staff is happy to help you. I have been there 3 times and i can’t wait to go back. The Loco Moco is great and the burgers are way over the top. Sitting outside on the patio on a warm day with a great beer is the best thing to do with some garlic fries. This is the best thing to come to Old Town in 20 years and I hope the very best for them.

First time here — only their 3rd day open –ordered the California Chicken Wrap to go. It was awesome — fresh and tasty. Looking forward to trying others items on the menu. Prices about the same as Rutaz and other spots in Old Town.

Finally made it in last night… What a kewl vibe and great menu options… Nice to see some of the same faces I’ve come to know and with 805 on tap I can’t wait to enjoy that patio on a warm summers night… Keep up the great work«AG» staff!

Loved everything about this cute little place. Loved the vibe and décor. I had the sliders and French fries. So flavorful and the fried green beans with the fresh spicy jalepeno dipping sauce was amazing. Definitely will be back.

First and foremost. as you enter, the vibe at «AG» is amazing. With the cool music genre and rustic old town hip motif it makes you feel welcome with smiles amongst the staff. The«Grub» is as good as it smells even before walking into the joint. Definitely on point with their burgers and tasty sandwiches. Condiments are at your discretion but actually not needed. The juicy burger, fresh produce and the brioche buns … oh dear! The salads are amazing and a must try. Sides of fresh cut fruits are available along with some delicious fresh baked cookies. 6 very good beer taps and wines are also available. Complete package at American Grub. The«soft opening» was slammed so I understand the glitches here and there but if the owner does what she’s created at The Swinging Door & Salty Dawg Tavern, Old Town Tustin is in for a great family hot spot. Much success

I have been waiting for this place to open up for a long time now. Old town Tustin needs a few of these type of eateries to help revitalize the area. Bottom line for this place… I am a fan and will be back! Good news: The food is good. I had the chicken wrap, my wife had a hamburger, my daughter had her usual mac and cheese, and we shared the garlic fries. This was one of the better garlic fries I have had in a very long time and my baseline is the original from San Francisco. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly. Heck even the Swinging Door Tavern upgraded their look. Now the bad: The good news about the bad is that it is fixable. I believe we caught them during a «soft opening» as there were a lot of issues to fix. Having the kids around with the AG tshirts was nice but they almost got more in the way than anything. The kitchen got slammed and the coordination was off. They really need a single expediter to manage the orders so they come out together. We got the fries first, then I got my wrap. My wife got a cheeseburger when she ordered a hamburger then the hamburger came out. I had to ask several times for my kids mac and cheese. Normally this would signal the last I would be back but I saw this coming. The table next to us got a BLT and she wanted no bacon and add avocado. The staff was happy to oblige but not even 5 minutes later came out her original LTA sando. One of the waitresses even put a sign on the door stating they were closed for a private party(thus my thinking it was a soft opening). The final thing was I was shocked at the price of my wrap, $ 12.99! I didn’t see any pricing on the big menu above the kitchen so i guessed it was a ball park $ 8 or $ 9. Now I couldn’t tell if was organic free range chicken or just the standard Foster Farms but man that was pricey. Now I will admit it was very good, I liked the halved cherry tomatoes and I was also pleasantly surprised they took the time to put it under a panini type press. That added to the texture instead of just a warm tortilla. We will be back as it is a short bike ride from our house. Work out the kinks and this place should be around for many years. Oh, they need a website.

Wine is great. Burgers are juicy and tasty and the salad was good as well. Very nice flavors. Comfortable seating. Rustic yet inviting. So happy this place is in old town Tustin! Also, thank you for having Coke(and not Pepsi)!
