Didn’t catch that it was a Christian thrift store from the brief glance at the sign from the freeway. As a frequent shopper of Goodwill and Savers, I have to admit that I miss the way thrift stores used to be. You used to be able to find cool, unique stuff at thrift stores. Now, you mostly see returned Target merchandise. 2nd time thrift store has unique stuff that is fun to look at, especially if you are with a friend or family member. Even though I walked out with nothing, I was definitely entertained by some of the strange and unusual things for sale.

50% off doesn’t mean much when you are charging 3 – 4 times what other stores are. Also — could you take 5 minutes and wipe the dirt and nastiness off of your items? 50.00 for a dirty used foodsaver(50% off of $ 99.99). No thanks. Waste of my time.

Most overpriced thrift store I’ve ever been to. I saw a bed frame for $ 600… For that price I can get a NEW one. Same thing with everything else, sold at prices that you can buy new items with. Goodwill is surprisingly cheaper.

Unfortunately this store has changed ALOT. I have been a customer for over 20 years and I have always encouraged friends, family and neighbors to donate unwanted stuff here. Not anymore. About 4 years ago we noticed we never see the good stuff we donate and we visit on a very regular basis ! They used to have lots of nice pots and pans and kitchen stuff. Now it is chipped glasses and mugs with broken handles all of which are filthy. They offer things at 50% off but they put ridiculous prices on stuff. A plaster figurine that is chipped and missing a head will be marked 1.99. They waste a lot of space on unusable items. Good furniture used to be a great deal, now it is junk –broken laminated pieces for 299.00. Salvation Army has way better prices on nicer furniture. They used to have good garden items and tools — junk now. Where are the nice donations going? Owners? Employees? Special buyers? They are supposed to be a Christian store providing low income people with affordable pricing. It is just the opposite. A lot of the customers don’t speak English and don’t realize they could get some of this stuff new for less. Seems to me they are taking advantage. Occasionally you may find a cute top or pair of jeans but most clothing is stained, torn, broken zipper, missing buttons, stains, etc. They put out shoes with heels missing and charge ten bucks. Nicer clothes comparably priced at Tustin Assiistance League shop. They have tons of books that should go for .25 like Orange Lutheran Thrift but here they are marked $ 1.00. At Christmas time ugly sweaters were 19.99. Spare me ! I will give them credit for providing a free lunch to anyone that comes to the daily service in the back and the Christian music is nice. Most employees are friendly. One tall younger guy, Mark maybe, seems to have a superiority complex and is sometimes rude. Would love to know what the deal is here since the«takeover». Previous management seemed much more in tune to realistic pricing. 50% off ?? How about 200% overpriced! Really miss the old Main Place Thrift.

Since this is a Christian place, we want to support them. But we were glad to discover good board games such as electric banking monopoly and stuff for a very low price with 50% off or more. They have golf clubs to toys, cds, books, clothes. Come check out the place.

This place is so cute! I can feel the friendly vibe right when I walked in. This time, an employee flagged me down and asked if I needed assistance. I was looking very lost searching for that dang ugly Xmas sweater. The gentlemen even walked me to where it could be and helped confirm that they no longer have any of what I was looking for. Awwww what a nice gesture! Everyone needs to come here!

Just a so-so thrift store that doubles as a chuch. They have a lot of women’s items like random dresses and shoes, so it might be worth your time to just stop by and check those out. They also have a pretty nice collection of books, dvds, and VHS’s. There was a complete box set of Xena, Warrior-Princess that I was really tempted to buy, but I wouldn’t even be able to play them haha. They also have a few boxes full of old record disks for you vinyl fans out there. It’s not really my thing but it’s still pretty cool. Like usual, all the small trinkets and jewelry are behind glass at the front counter. There were a few nice items that may strike your fancy, so don’t forget to take a look there.

Not a great selection at all, and anything that is remotely vintage is totally marked up. I few corelle cups and one saucer was $ 5.99 and some retro melamine cups in a set were $ 29.99! Won’t be back.

This store is the most expensive thrift shop ever! In just a 5 minute walk through I found 4 – 5 items that were priced higher than the original retail price. My suggestion is to avoid this«Christian’ rip off and head to Ikea and Home Goods, or your favorite box store.

So, my bf is the one who actually starting coming here long before I ever knew him. I started coming with him a while back, and at first the«raised on Nordstrom» girl in me was like.ew. But after a few successful visits and some pretty cool finds, I actually look forward to coming here. It’s pretty well organized, they are pretty good at getting out the new donations, and the staff is very friendly. It’s a Christian shop so they play Christian music, which I nostalgically love because I was in the church choir as a kid/young adult. I REALLY like the main guy, no idea what his name is, but he always gives me great deals. Anyway, this is a very decent thrift shop. I like coming here. That’s all folks.

Thrifting is an suppose to be an adventure, but attempting to find this store was an adventure in and of itself! Located right next to the freeway and near several apartment complex sits a huge warehouse filled with treasure. I drove through multiple neighborhoods, so you’re not alone if you feel completely lost. You’re going the right way! The apparel selection wasn’t very impressive; but, they did have a good assortment of furniture and household goods. There were a couple of flat screen tv’s for a fraction of the price when I visited and a ton random donations– an industrial copy machine, a boat, and piles of printer paper. I didn’t purchase anything on this trip, but when I move to a new place that may change! FYI: Proceeds benefit a drug and alcohol recovery program

I was looking for thrift stores in the area with my phone and the Main Place Christian Thrift Store seemed to have a pretty high rating according to my phone. I guess my hopes were put up too high — there wasn’t that much stuff I was interested in here. Mostly furniture that I didn’t pay attention to. Found some cool film cameras at the front(one was $ 20, I kinda wish I bought it to play around with it, but a sign at the register basically said that we couldn’t return it if it didn’t work and I wasn’t sure how to test if it worked or not). There were also some random items like some Czech Stringing Machine with a badminton racket on top… weird. The clothes weren’t too special. Like any other thrift store, you really have to look to find something you like, but a thrift store like Goodwill will definitely give you better luck. Don’t come here if you’re hot and looking for a nice place to shop. No A/C! It was so hot! Just lots of powerful fans on. I don’t hate this place(got a t-shirt I liked for $ 1) but it’s nothing too great.

Not a huge assortment of clothing or furniture but they’ve got some gems out In the back… found an almost new pair of skis + bindings for $ 18, really good helmets for $ 5 each, and two suitcases for $ 25(for both). All in great shape. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Big changes at Main Place. Everything looks great, lots of furniture available, and lots of baby clothing. But I’ve been twice since to overhaul and haven’t bought a single item. The ladies clothing, which used to be phenomenal, is sparse and not what it used to be. Does this mean I need a new favorite thrift store?

I love this place! I go there once a month to spend that loose change or extra cash I have in my wallet. NEVEREVER do I spend over $ 20! I always GOOD records, stuff that could be worth GOLD on ebay :-D Also, cassettes, vhs tapes. I’ve bought a few clothes there, stuff to wear to themed parties :-) Yes and YES I’d recommend this place, the employees know me and they are SOFRIENDLY, sometimes they give me an additional discount just for me :-D

This is a pretty pathetic thrift store. There is a small selection of used clothing and a bunch of new clothes. Hardly any furniture or housewares, dishes stuff like that but they had office supplies. Go figure. The strangest thrift store ever. The coolest part of it was Rex who works there. He’s an elderly gentleman who assists you by opening the door when you leave.
