Wingate By Wyndham

Pros: spacious and great room to stretch out and relax in after driving 10.5 hours. Bamboo floors, quiet, bed was very comfortable.
Cons: breakfast was ok, bathroom could have better lighting, fridge was a little too warm and I had the setting in the coldest.
Definitely would stay here again if in the area.

Have stayed here a few times when visiting my daughter at UA. They are one of the nicer dog friendly (2 dogs for $ 20) hotels in the area. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The doggie area is small but supplied with poop bags and there are larger grassy areas at the next door Burger King and gas stations.

Just needed a place to crash while we were road tripping across the south. We got a great deal for $ 68 a night on hotwire. If you want, try to look on hotwire secret deals for a hotel with 90% ratings in the south east Tuscaloosa region. I think this hotel is the only one with that high of a review in that area on hotwire anyways.
Clean rooms. Good service. Don’t expect anything over the top though. The only thing was that I found some yellow stains on my towel (gross) and the coffee machine they put in my room was so dirty I couldn’t even make a proper cup of coffee. So I guess just spend the night there and just try not to pay attention to all the crevices and corners? They’re not spotless.
Free wifi free parking free breakfast. Pet friendly (which was kind of annoying due to all the barking in the morning) but gotta love a place that loves dogs! Also its located right off of I-​20 so so if you’re on the road you can swing right off and sleep in for the night.

Wingate at Wyndham was very clean! Very large room with all the amenities you need (refrigerator, safe, microwave, coffeepot, hair dryer and iron). The outdoor pool and whirlpool were very clean. The view not so great (overlooking a transmission repair shop). Would definitely stay here again. The price was reasonable and staff were friendly.

Nice hotel! Price was good, pet friendly, room was very clean. Nice wood floor in the room. The shower was nice. They let us have a late check inn. We didn’t check in until after 11:00pm. Also French Roast coffee in the lobby in the morning is a plus.

actually never let hotel Wingate by Wyndham know I was bringing a pet which I specifically told them to do. When I arrived thank goodness there was still a pet room available. Also there are a few empty lots out front to walk your pet around so they can do there business.
Only complaint about the room was that the TV was a bit static on some channels. My wife also indicated she thought the chair with ottoman was a bit old. The other complaint was Fox News in the lobby.
Overall though we were satisfied and would stay here again.

Overall a very nice hotel. Rooms were well lit and accommodated. The wooden floors and higher than average ceilings gives the rooms a very open, spacious feeling. Hot breakfast options downstairs are also nice. AC unit located right next to bed, thus work very well at keeping you warm/​cool through the night. I’d say it’s one of the best places to stay in Tuscaloosa and openly recommend Wingate.

When I looked up this property on Unilocal,it was shown as closed. I have been staying here for a while now, and it is very much open for business. The staff here are the BEST that I have come across anywhere, and I travel quite a bit. I love coming to this hotel because everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home, and I REALLY love that rooms with hardwood floors are available as that help with allergies.
If you looking for a place to stay while in T-​Town, look no further — just leave a room available for me! ;-)
