Pretty good bar not only for drinks but for food as well. The messy chips and Irish gold chicken fingers are pretty good. My favorite thing to get hands down is the fish and chips with a cold Guinness. The fish and chips are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had(the tartar is awesome, even with fries). The bar can get a little crowded on game days(as expected) but it’s with fratty and trashy people. If the Greek life is not for you then do not go here on Saturday during football season lol.

If you want to have a fun night in Tuscaloosa don’t go to Innisfree. The doorman who’s is probably younger than me seems to think he can talk to people how ever he pleases. He was loud, rude and used profanity for absolutely no reason. After my ID was thrown back at me I walked in and decided I didn’t want to give this establishment any of my money and left. NEWSFLASH doorman! You’re just a doorman.

Just a dive bar with Nasty floors, etc. wouldn’t consider eating there. Paid $ 10 a head after Bama game and they threw my son to the floor injuring his back. Supposedly mistaken identity when he was with his parents! No apology would Never go back. Don’t waste $$ on this nasty place. Deserves NO stars!

No local beer. Alabama game reruns on the TV. Slow-as-molassas bartenders. The shining star here was the Rueben but, full disclosure, it was the first thing I had eaten that day other than coffee 10 hours prior. Kudos to our sweet server who was absolutely overrun with happy hour frat dudes but kept a smile on her face and grabbed beers herself to hasten the train wreck of a bar tending situation. She single handedly upped this place from meh to mediocre.

We went to Innisfree on Monday evening while traveling through Alabama. We found it on accident, originally wanted to go somewhere else that ended up being closed. There were very few people in the bar at this time so we had very good service. She got our drinks immediately and recommended several menu items for us, mentioned it was half price appetizers and drink specials. We were impressed with the food, for bar food. They have traditional Irish dishes, but with a pub style feel to it. The sweet potato fries were delicious, as were the wings. The bar had cool décor, nothing fancy. It’s a typical college town bar. This isn’t a place I’d ever go for an evening out, but definitely cool for a sporting event. We didn’t have any problems. Enjoyed the meal we had while passing through.

Ok kinda overpriced bar food. Lack of local beer. Ehh. Their Irish Gold sauce is the best thing they have going.

We called innisfree and asked if they would play a soccer game, they said they would play it on one tv if we came to the bar. We arrived at the bar, ordered drinks and then someone came over and said«they aren’t allowed to play soccer.» Additionally, if you go there always pay cash(heard some sketchy credit card stories).

The security staff is very unprofessional and rude. An overly intoxicated woman assaulted my buddy. She began to hit and shove him. After a quick ordeal, the security staff proceeded to remove my buddy from the bar without knowing the situation. My friend and I were both sober and had not consumed any alcoholic drink all night. After paying a five dollar cover, he was removed from the bar because he had a drunk girl assault him. I will never be going back, and I will encourage my friends to do the same.

I like Irish pubs quite a bit, and this one delivers a pretty good rendition. Sacrilege in Tuscaloosa, I’m sure, but I prefer them without TVs… other than that, no complaints. The bartenders were fast and friendly and the crowd was a nice mix of students and older lame-os like myself. Good prices and decent beer selection.

Overall it was a good place to eat and drink. It was too loud though and the waitress was overbooked it seemed. We got the Pub Fries as an appetizer — which were amazing! The atmosphere is laid back and fun.

I don’t know what it is about this place. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. It’s hot and filling and their Pub Fries are the BOMB! I guess its just the atmosphere. The place is comfortable. At times it can be empty and at other times it can be packed to the walls. Depending on when you come, it can be that dark hole you’re looking for or party central. The staff has always been great. They’re friendly and as quick as they can be. Prices are what you would expect, not too high and not dirty cheap. Plenty of TV’s around. Also, a pretty generous outside eating/drinking area. Throw in a couple of dart boards and a pool table and you got a decent place to spend your evenings. If given one place to hang in Tuscaloosa, this would be it.

Reviewed strictly as a restaurant, it’s just okay. Just pub food and few«specialty» dishes from the UK/Ireland: bangers & mash, fish & chips and Shepard’s pie. Innisfree is efinitely set up to be a watering hole, and its layout is great for that purpose but not so much as a restaurant.
