Oh, Willamette Valley Vineyards you make my heart soar! My mom and I were on a family trip in Oregon to see my cousin graduate from OSU. We were debating what to do one day and since it was just the two of us, we said a wine tour sounded fun. I looked up some places and with the day being a Monday, not many were open. Willamette was though, and they they had pretty good reviews and hours! I went ahead and booked the private tour for the two of us. It was GRAND. Ryan was our tour guide and he knew his stuff. I learned quite a lot, even all the way down to the oak that the wine is fermented in and there are even wines that don’t go through a fermentation process! My favorite was their 2014 Riesling, my mom’s was the 2014 Tualatin Estate Semi-Sparkling Muscat. We enjoyed it so much that we bought a bottle of each, and brought it back home to Hawaii! I’ve never tasted such fine, crisp, wine. No bite at the end. My mom and I both prefer white, however, even the one red, 2015 Whole Cluster Pinor Noir he let us try was great. Fortunately they sell that wine on the island so I’ll be on the lookout to buy a bottle! The cheese platter was also phenomenal. I absolutely HATE onions, with a passion. I’ve tried it every single way you can think of and I just can’t seem to enjoy it. The pickled grapes and onions on the platter were made in house and the pickled onion complimented the cheese so well, I enjoyed it! Couldn’t eat it alone though. The only reason why they’re getting four stars and not five is because we had to wait 45 minutes before our tour even started because there was some mis-communication about who was supposed to do our tour, and the person who was scheduled to was not working that day!!! The people in the tasting room were of no help, they didn’t communicate at all. I had to call the office directly to find out. Thank you Cathy for walking down and getting everything squared away! After that everything went smoothly and because of the wait they refunded us for the tour($ 40) each, 20% off the wine we bought, and in our wine tasting they included a wine that usually only members are able to taste. Even with some bumps along the way, overall, a superb experience. I’ll definitely visit again the next time I’m in Oregon!

Stopped by while in the area to check out their wine tasting. Ordered their signature flight wishing runs $ 15. The fee is waived if you order 2 bottles of wine. I enjoy doing tastings because it gives me a chance to try a menagerie of different wines. If you like Pinot’s this is the tasting to try. While here I also went on The quick 20min tour which was pretty informative. Grounds are lovely!

The very best Pinot Noir served here. I came with a group of friends for a VIP wine tour and it was very educational, informative, and entertaining on the process of wine production and chemistry. They have a specific room for their wine chemist to measure sulfates, nitrates, and check for elements that may not want to be within the wine. Seeing all the barrels below took my breath away and the fine wood that was made in France to store the product in. I think this is the best winery in the state of Oregon and I will definitely come back here for more wine tasting trips over the summer.

Awesome visit Memorial Day. Had a great bling tasting in their cellar, fantastic patio to enjoy our vino, and delicious meat/cheese/pickled veggies platter. They also had a booth on-site from a local farmer selling lamb sliders — WOW… we went back for seconds.

Not impressed! Decent wine and bad service. Great location though. You can visit this for the location but not the wine.

I’ve come here several more times since my last review and only gets better the people are really friendly the food is really good and of course the wine complments all that as well I really like going into the club room where there’s a fireplace and sitting back enjoying a bottle of wine with a beautiful lady. Where else can you get a first date for around $ 16 and see where it goes for dinner. I suggest you join the wine club and be a share owner as well.

One of my favorite things to do when visiting my in-laws in Oregon is to go wine tasting. We have been to several of the local vineyards over the years and love all the improvements this place has done to their facilities. They have not improved the wine, but they did not need to. The WVV Estate Pinot is our go to Pinot. We buy a case any time we can. This is a great place to meet with friends or family to spend the afternoon wine tasting. The setting in the vineyard creates a great backdrop for any occasion.

I have been here multiple times. They keep expanding, and the work seems good. I do not like the long narrow steep driveway. That being said the place is great. The wine is better than what it was 20+ years ago. I attended a cooking presentation years ago, and still use it. They are a bit expensive for my taste, but they have good food. I knock off one star because of cost, not because of quality of product, presentation, and flavor.

This winery is spectacular! Not only for the delicious Pinot Noir mind you… The view and atmosphere make the wine a little more enjoyable. While sipping some wine on the back patio with the sun beating down on my face and the rolling vineyards out in front of me I knew life as I knew it could not get much better. We did a tasting of wines as well and really enjoyed the variety. The staff was extremely personable and knowledgable. I would definitely recommend stopping here on your journey our coming by for and afternoon glass. This winery is one for the books!

We enjoyed a beautiful and informative tour and tasting at Willamette Valley Vineyards. They have a free tour at 2pm most days, but it’s worth it to plan ahead and make a reservation for the longer, paid tour. The tour and tasting are more in depth and so much fun! Veronica was our tour guide and she was so fun and knowledgeable!

Took a tour(they offer it daily at 2pm for 30minutes) of their winery and the history behind the vineyards. The host was detailed and patient. Great views from the dining area. Had one of their tasting flights for $ 10 and totally worth it…4 out of the 5 wines we had were great… tasted in the following order: 2013 Pinot Blanc: great white wine 2013 Estate Chardonnay: I was assuming the previous one was not at all sour/tangy. but this one topped it… one of the better white wines I ever had. 2013 Estate Pinot Noir: this red was great too and set it up for the next one. 2014 Whole Cluster Pinot Noir: this one somehow disappointed, and when we looked at the pricing, this one was priced lower than the above 3 wines(wonder why? :)). 2014 Tualatin Estate Semi-Sparkling Muscat: Quite sweet, but I like sweet wines… a sweet ending. The host pouring the wines wasn’t stingy either(like some of the tastings do). Worth the hour long drive here from Portland.

If you enjoy wine, great views, wine, great service, really good wine, a great venue, and wine, then you need to check this place out. We came here last Saturday for a VIP wine tour. What a great time! We were seated upstairs away from the crowd. They set up a table with plates, glasses, and cheese/crackers/fruits for our tasting pleasure. They had about 7 or 8 different tasters for us to check out. It was great experiencing so many different wines, and what different flavors and aromas each one had. After some tastings we ventured down into the production area where we got to see all the equipment used during the process. It was fun, and educational. There’s quite a bit of Science that’s used when making wine. My favorite wine was the Tempranillo from the Rogue Valley, a really nice, bold red. It Paired perfectly with a Ribeye Steak covered in Walla Walla Sweet onions and Bleu Cheese Sauce. Veronica was our host for the day, and she did a great job educating and showing us the ropes around Willamette Valley Vineyards. This is on my list for top Vineyards in Oregon.

Yesterday six of us had a delightful tour of Willamette Vineyards and the wine processing/bottling plant. We tasted delicious wines along the way and finished with lunch afterward. Our guide was charming, the day beautiful and the winery ambience delightful. A wonderful day with lunch at the winery. There are perhaps 10 lunch offerings ranging $ 10 – 18. The prices seemed a little high for lunch and what was presented. I had a small cold plate of cheddar, smoked sturgeon, 2 pieces of dry flat bread, and pickled onions for $ 12. The sturgeon had a very strong fish taste. The menu lacked a standard meat and cheese platter which would seem almost a requirement for a winery lunch. Three in our party were anticipating the fabulous grilled cheese sandwich which was no longer offered.

This is at the top of the best wineries in Willamette Valley. Wine, Cheese, and Pear: Scrumptious! What else can I say. Chef Eric has got to be one of the best chef’s in Oregon. Great wine Ambassadors, and Others. Can’t ask for a better experience. Thank you all.

I’ve been to my fair share of wineries in the Willamette Valley, and still this one is at the top of my list. Although it sits right off I-5, you would hardly notice it from the quiet and views of the vineyards as you look out from their balcony. I’ve been a member since this past summer, and since I live so close I’ve been able to take full advantage of my member benefits. If I’m going to be a member anywhere, it might as well be this one. Tastings for me and my guests, private group tours, great wines at discounts, and they have several events throughout the year that are open to the public as well. There are suites available for overnight guests, a restaurant menu that changes according to what’s in season, a cozy outdoor seating area with fireplace, free wifi, a newly remodeled tasting room, and the staff there is so warm and inviting. You might just see Jim Bernau, the owner, around when you come visit. He lives on the property, and comes in and out on occasion.

— Enjoyed a fantastic afternoon here with family this weekend to celebrate Sis-in-law’s 21st birthday with some class instead of tequila! A storm knocked-out the power, but our 10-person tour and tasting continued without a hitch… Great staff and gorgeous winery(I’ll spare repeating the amazing view others have already documented) — proud to call it my fave now. They even had a free charge station for my Chevy Volt! I cannot give a high-enough rating and recommendation for Winery Ambassador Steve Brussell — he is a true professional: has and shares a wealth of wine and winery knowledge, is an amazing tour guide and a helluva nice man… The pic is of Sis-in-law and her b/f — in the middle is Steve Brussell, the Winery Ambassador you want to ask for(although the two others I briefly met seemed really nice, too!)

Such a lovely experience. Jim Bernau has done a beautiful job with the new remodel of the tasting room at WVV. Ample indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the vineyards and the Willamette Valley from almost every spot in the building. Great visually appealing display of wine At the wine bar, open kitchen and a really nice seasonally rotating menu that has been tastefully paired with all of their delicious wines. Sat outside next to the great big fireplace. Just an awesome experience, definitely made you feel like you were far and away from Salem. I definitely look forward to my next visit to WVV
