Viva Taco Bus

Silvestre’s food is amazing! I have been eating here for over 10 years and it is always a great experience. If you ever find yourself near Turlock you have to come by!

On a drive to Fresno we found the Taco Bus food is excellent! We absolutely love everything that we ate I had the shrimp with sour cream sauce and a tamale. My husband had 4 asada tacos with rice and beans. It was very tasty. The owner was kind and attentive. We will return!!!

This place earns some style points for being located on a bus, but the food is also quite good. We had a plate of 12 tacos which were very good but kinda small. The chef is very friendly! The kitchen and dining room are both on the bus making for a unique dining experience.

Been coming here for 7 years. Every time food was amazing and filling. The owner even said when I come back to town and it might be late call and he will wait. Best tacos burritos in turlock.

Definetly a cool experience, never saw anything like it. Food came out fast and it was pretty good. Definetly coming back!

Love love love love love!!! The food is awesome and the man that owns the place is so sweet. My hubby and I go there at least once a week.

First time in my life I was drooling from the mouth literally when the food came out. His creations not only taste great they are well presented, and the owner is a wonderful and positive soul who makes food with love and compassion.
Today was the first time I visited this place and he surely has a regular customer…
The taco trucks parked on center street now charge 5.50 for a regular Burrito and his prices are still 4.50.
Give them a opportunity you wont be dissapointed!!!

Me and 3 coworkers ordered. Everything was super salty we ordered 8 tacos a torta and a burrito it was way over salted and the bottom part of the torta was soggy. Really cheap prices on their food maybe the cook accidentally over salted but I don’t figure I would go back and try it.

Ordered the burrito and 2 taco combo for $ 6.50. Literally nothing special. My al pastor taco was better than the asada taco but nothing to write home about. Food was not seasoned and tasted on the bland side. Turlock food is turning out to be quite the disappointment.: (

If you are anywhere in the north san joaquin valley, go out of your way to visit the Viva Taco Bus. Silvestre has created quite the place. The school bus’ interior is comfie and air conditioned! He’s a charmer who cooks the traditional way. Everything we tried was flavorful and perfect. He sat with us while we enjoyed a selection of tacos, and told my husband how he prepares the lengua (which must be good, because he’s sold out of lengua that day, again). If Viva Taco Bus was in my neighborhood, I’d be eating here every day.

The Good
Very friendly person who helped us. Most places I have to ask for jalapeños and limes. He gave them to is without requesting. We ordered 2 super carne Asada burritos and two carne Asada tacos.
The Bad
Though all three of the items tasted very good the texture of the meat was quite strange. My wife had the carne Asada tacos and she complained her meat tastes like well the only way to put it is dog food. Not that she has ever eaten it. I have to agree the texture was very strange.
The Ugly
Texture. We will give this place another shot as the reviews are high. All I can say is check the meat. Now that i think about it. It did seem like the items were cooked awfully fast so maybe the meat was precooked. Most taco trucks it takes about 5 – 10

Awesom Pastor burritos and tacos. Also tried the veggie burrito which was very good. Good value for the money. Even have inside seating for the hotter days.

Took a big group of hungry teens here and the man behind the counter was all by himself. I took orders and made sure everyone got their food while he assembled everything. Very nice man. The food was really good too.

Everything I ordered were really great. I had beef burrito and beef taco!

Great food, nice owner, cheap prices. You should try it! Been there 2 or 3 times now and never got sick. The food tastes fresh.

This place is why, whenever I need to go to Turlock, I make sure it’s around a mealtime. You’ll not find better Mexican food anywhere. My whole family is in love with the bus!
The food is fresh tasting, doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. Sylvester, the owner and cook, is friendly and welcoming. Chicken burrito with everything is my go to. Always hot, fresh and tasty.

Just had to check this place out for myself. Viva LA taco bus!!! It’s the most remarkable thing you’d only find in a small town like Turlock, CA.
Service is extremely friend, the owner referred to me as Bonita Señorita. While he was cooking he asked me questions about myself and future plans.

Not bad. Taco truck serving pretty decent fare. Our quesadilla’s and tacos were pretty good. Actually the taco was quite good. The Burrito however was disappointing. The filling was a bit mushy and the beans quite runny. However I’m not dissuaded, they have quite an extensive menu and I’m sure I’ll be able to find a couple of rock star dishes.
On a side note Turlock has an untapped potential market here. That area where the food trucks are can easily be developed to cater to a range of food truck venues, with seating added and more ambiance created. Something akin to Singapore’s open air kitchen venues. Especially when University is back in session.

When I first pulled up I’m standing at the window saying hello is anybody in there because I saw the silhouettes from the outside then I heard a couple of people say come on in and was shocked to find out they had inside dining. Good food good price is wonderful owner!
