Excellent sweet potato fries, though should have ordered an extra side of them. The fish tacos had generous portions of tasty mahi mahi. The waitress and the manager prevented a batter review. She did not know the beers, guessed at a price then did not tell us the sweet fries were extra… when she ran it off as one of the side choices with the tacos, we assumed it was ok. Wow… then the manager had to argue with us that the menu had a place where it mentioned the fries were extra. If they want more than a dollar extra, the pile of fries shouldn’t have seemed so skimpy. Finally, since I’m on a rant, that girl should get her order pad out of her ass! She kept shoving it down in the back of her pants, like it was trying to escape! Gross! Did she even have underwear on under there? Ugh… maybe she was wearing a thong?

If you live in Mississippi or Alabama and haven’t been to a Mugshots before I’d be surprised. This small chain litters both states. Tupelo should be happy this new location has been established. Located downtown, it’s a great place to go for dinner after events and remains a solid spot for those looking for a bite in an upbeat, fun atmosphere littered with modern TVs. If there’s a sporting event you want to watch you’ll enjoy the food here much better than at places like Buffalo Wild Wings. Another positive is it remains open late while most other places in town are closed. Mugshots is known for burgers and if you come here be sure to stick with ordering the burgers(the rest of the items are average). Think about it — would you go to a hamburger place and order pasta? Mugshots is notorious for large, hand padded burgers with premium toppings and if you stick with that you’ll enjoy every bite. Keep in mind there’s plenty of local beers on tap, hard liquor and regular pop and sweet tea. In short, there’s a recipe for everyone to have success here regardless of age. You’ll also want to stick with the fries. They are well seasoned and compliment the burgers. Hands down, there’s few better places in town to grab a bite and watch a game. If that’s what you’re looking for you belong here.

I too don’t understand nor agree with the negative reviews. I felt as if he service was maybe a little slow, but I was with a group of 16 with one waitress. Everyone in my group throughly enjoyed their meal. I had the Cajun fried chicken sandwich which was exactly the right proportion and taste. I felt that the location was good too. It’s not in the chain retail side of town where it would easily be lost. Instead it’s in the more downtown, old town, part of Tupelo. I was in town for an exhibition at the BancorpSouth Arena, which made it an easy 2 minute walk from doorstep to doorstep. All in all I would recommend this place if your looking for a cheaper, good, pub style sandwiches and fries type of meal.

This location is really suffering from start-up jitters right now. Make sure you’re not in a rush and have a good attitude before going in. The food — it’s a chain. Basically Red Robin that they’ve tried to make look less cafeteria-style. Same sort of novelty burgers with steak fries.

I’m not sure why all the negative reviews. I have always had good food. The service needs work but Mugshots is known for hiring younger people who are inexperienced. I see this at every Mugshots I have been to. It will benefit you to choose something normal when you order, the staff pushes alot of odd burgers like the peanut butter burger, most people end up hating them. Go for something like the McDonald or the middle burger and you will be far better off.

It was awful last time, but since it’s a cool place my girlfriend convinced me to give them another try. Boy do I regret it! Absolutely the worst food we’ve ever eaten in Tupelo. I raised my fish taco and 3 inches of water and mayo drained on my plate, the sweet potato fries were cold, bland(no salt, pepper, cheese nothing) and soft and mushy-they were obviously microwaved. HORRIBLE!!! There may be a few decent reviews here, but that’s coming from people who really enjoy the food at the corner gas station.

People were nice but it might as well be TGIFriday’s, Applebee’s, Chili’s, etc. Generic.

Friendliest staff, amazing food, awesome atmosphere — what more can I say? I’m in town for the week for work and I’ve been through their door each day. Try the steak burger, add bacon and fried egg. Hands down best burger I have ever had. I love this place!

This is your pretty standard chain burger place, much like Red Robin. Some fun burger choices, clean, and a the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The buns are amazing, the toppings are good, but on both of my visits the burger patties were a little dry and tough, and oddly uniform in shape and texture.

My husband and I came so he could do the mugshot challenge. He didn’t finish but he enjoyed trying! I had the Mombo combo and really enjoyed trying the different apps. Will definitely come back to try more things and come back for the selection of tap beer!

My first experience at Mugshots. I understood the burgers were fantastic but I was underwhelmed. First the burger came out within 2 minutes of ordering, to some that is great, but to me that meant it was precooked. Second, I was underwhelmed by the bar staff. I sat at the bar and while patiently waiting for someone to clear my plate and get my check the bartender checked her cell phone for messages. I will give good marks for the fries. They were very good.

Not the same quality as Starkville Mug Shots. Our server was fantastic but the cooks in the kitchen need more practice. I have only eaten at the one in Starkville and other than the name I wouldn’t believe it was owned the same company.

My husband and I have loved Mugshots for years, but this location is so beautiful and has such a great atmosphere! The food is just as amazing as it always has been! Plan to wait if you’re going at peak dinner time, but if you’ve ever been to Mugshots in Starkville you will be pleased that the wait time at this location is nothing compared to that of the original. The bar is also large enough to have dinner and drinks for 2 very comfortably. If you’re a big sports fan you’ll be please by the 8 or more, approximately 60+ inch, televisions hanging around the perimeter of the bar area. The parking is funky but I’m used to parking and walking so be prepared, there is no «parking lot». Overall the food was great, the beer selection was nice, but the atmosphere was the best!

Did not enjoy it! We were very excited to try it and it was awful! Our waitress had a very ill attitude never asked if we were okay or even checked on us. We were served by four people none of whom were nice. The food was turning cold when we got it and had no flavor! Very disappointed and won’t be back!

Awesome place to eat! Great atmosphere and the food is fantastic! I was a little skeptical with some of the other reviews, but I am VERY pleased with my meal. We will be coming back. Beer battered fries are the bomb!

I had been dying to try Mugshots since my sister gave the one in Jackson such good remarks. I went around 8:00PM, and the place was packed. Estimated wait was 30 – 45 mins but ended up being 10 – 15 mins. Great menu for a burger lover like me, but I ordered Hick’s Chicken Philly because I love them, also. It definitely wasn’t as good as a cheaper chicken philly from a local restaurant in my area. The chicken was underseasoned, and the onions & bell peppers were a little too crunchy for my taste. However, the fries were awesome. Our server was not very attentive; she never stopped at the table to check on us. Several times I saw her glance at the table as she walked past it, and I guess we looked fine to her. We actually had to stop her a few times to get what we needed at our table. Other than the poor service from the server, I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant; very laid back and casual. I would definitely go back to try more menu items and hope for better service for a more pleasant experience.
