I had an absolutely awful experience with Kay’s. I bought a $ 200.00 bridesmaids dress which was $ 44 dollars to alter. Because of the inconvienient hours they have on Saturdays, I went to pick up my dress 10 minutes before closing and did not try the dress on (out of respect of the employees– which will have no respect for you, might I add). I get to the wedding, get my dress on, and it does not fit right AT ALL! The only problem with the dress to begin with was the cups in the dress were too large. I had inserts added inside the cups and the cups were supposed to be taken up. Instead, the cups are cockeyed inside the dress (my boobs are NOT!), the bust was taken up, causing my dress to be entirely too tight and the back and causing an unsightly bulge over the top of my dress. I DO NOT live in Tupelo so both trips made to the store were inconvienient to begin with. My first visit, I try the dress on and wait in the ill fitting dress for a good hour before even getting my turn with THE alterations lady. My dress was also taken up in legnth to accomodate 2 ⁵⁄₈ inch heels. At the wedding I wore over 3 inch heels and the dress was still a good 4 inches too long. Apparently they didn’t think that taking the sheer overlay up in legnth was important. Here’s a clue: THESE DRESSES WERE DANGEROUS BEING TOO LONG. Not only was my dress stepped on and tripping me up by others, but so were all the other bridesmaids who had their dresses altered here. When I called the store and told all of this to someone named NATALIE, who listened to what I had to say, but never apologized for any inconvieniences this caused me, the general discomfort I felt while wearing the dress, NOTHING! Rude, rude, rude!!!
