We came here because the deli downstairs was closed at 5pm. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, a small teriyaki chicken pizza, and a teriyaki chicken bowl. The pizza didn’t have very much sauce on it, so I would ask for extra sauce next time. The teriyaki chicken pizza was better than the teriyaki chicken bowl. The bowl didn’t have enough sauce. We asked for extra and the teriyaki sauce tasted almost like it was just soy sauce. The carrots on the bowl are not cooked. Next time I would just get a make your own chicken bowl because it would have been cheaper. Sodas have refills.

I really like the seats near the café(which I believe is closed now). There’s a really cozy fireplace! I didn’t try the food there because I had bought heated rotisserie chicken and a Cup of Noodle from the grocery store/gift shop. They did have a microwave for my noodles :). Would definitely go back for the hot chocolate.

Decent place to have a made to order sandwich. They had about 10 options, 2 were vegetarian but they were sold out of one of these. I was impressed they had the calorie count posted on the board. I had the Waldorf chicken croissant and it was pretty good. My companion had the veggie sandwich and could barely eat it — hence knocking off a couple of stars. They had a good selection of drinks and energy bars, and some healthier snack options like olives and hummus.

Surprisingly good(although it is like everything else in the park: a bit overpriced). Ordered a large pizza with chicken for a topping. The chunks of chicken were actual chunks of white meat chicken not the typical rubber chunks you get from the chain pizza places. The size was good and pretty tasty, especially after a long day in the park. we will definitely go back the next time we are in yosemite

First time visit to try the pizza at Degnans Loft in Yosemite Village. The line was significantly shorter than the pizza deck at Curry Village. Plus the dining room was air conditioned, making the Loft worth the trek from anywhere in Yosemite Valley. We ordered the medium sized Thai Chicken pizza(we liked a lot) and the Pepperoni pizza(good too). Both had plenty of cheese and provided a filling lunch. We will be back.

We had the meat lovers pizza and the Thai chicken pizza. They were really good. Prices were on the high side, $ 25 for a large pizza. The place had a nice view!

It is eatable and won’t make you hate yourself to much after eating it. We came in because we decided to do an impromptu vacation so this was one of our dinners. The service staff here for some reason hate their jobs and consequently treat their customers like dirt so just be ready for that. We will be back.

Beers and pizza. That is what this place is all about. They also serve spaghetti and stuffed pasta but I didn’t try it. Degnan’s Loft is a place that relies on tourists who failed to pack their own meal. Therefore, quality of the food and service was lacking due to the fact that there is no competition and no reason for them to ensure positive experience. There was only one cashier who didn’t know what he was doing. A bunch of the staff were just standing around despite customers needing help. They also put in our food order wrong. I got a large Thai chicken pizza: $ 25. This pie actually tasted decent. The peanut sauce was slightly sweet and spicy. The crunch from the carrots and onions complemented the grilled chicken very well. The taste reminds me of the Thai chicken pizza at California Pizza Kitchen but fails to come close to that quality. The Thai chicken pizza at Degnan’s loft desperately needs some fresh cilantro and a higher quality dough. As much as I would like to hate on this place, I can’t. They serve semi-decent pizza and if it weren’t for this place, I would have starved.

After a long day of hiking and snacky food it was wonderful to find a place where you could get something substantial and hot. The boys loved their meatball calzone and spaghetti with meatballs and the hubby and I shared the whole wheat veggie with sausage added. We also got a couple of salads to share for veg. I didn’t plan to order it, but broke down and got a glass of the half dome on tap. Blissful. Granted, anytime you’re dining in Yosemite you spend more and the scale of fabulousness is different, but this was one of the very happiest meals for us while we were there.

Who doesn’t like pizza? They have a great Thai Chicken Pizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas, one Thai Chicken and the other Pepperoni… The Thai Chicken was very good and the Pepperoni was not– it seems like whoever was making the pizza put the same amount of ingredients on our large pepperoni pizza that would go on a small. seriously! We were looking around the dinning room at the smaller pizzas coming out of the oven. and our recommendation would be to just order small pizzas –don’t order large pizzas!

The view from a few days later is that Degnan’s is not quite rubbish, but typical airport food at typical airport food prices. Just so you know, Mr. Degnan hasn’t owned this place for decades. It’s now run by the Delaware North Companies, which Wikipedia tells me is an airport and sporting event concessionaire. What that tells me is that this place is very much in the business of providing OK food for massively inflated prices. «Degnan’s» retains one star because the prices were inflated and the food just so-so. The prices could be astronomical and the food miserable. That said, you don’t have any other options unless you brought your own food or are willing to wait an hour till you get to Groveland. Sorry. On the bright side, you’re only a few miles from some of the most beautiful places on earth! Q: What does Degnan’s, owned by the Delaware North Companies of Buffalo, NY have to do with Yosemite National Park? A: Nothing. Go Bills!

Lets see where to begin… ok… the pizza was delicious, especially after a 10 mile hike. Its the only place open late(9pm) in the village as the deli closes at 5pm…(weird…) The staff seemed very unorganized. The guy at the counter taking orders seemed very unhappy, when we walked up and asked how he was going, he asked«what do you want» or «what can I get you», very monotone and just unpleasant. The wait staff that were bringing out the pizzas were also all over the place. The guy brought us the wrong pizza, and as soon as he put it down he walked away. We got his attention and told him and showed our receipt. He then took the pizza, the receipt and our number and brought it to the kitchen window. I watched him and this woman attempt to figure the mystery out. He then brought the pizza that was already set on our table to another party who I think it originally belonged too(don’t worry, we did not touch the pizza). I did not think that was allowed but he still did it. So then we waited and waited and I saw the guy walking around with a pizza and it was ours. When I asked him if that was our pizza he asked if we were number ___and i said yes. He then said«well i didnt see your number».(well maybe if he had remembered that he took my number and that he had served me the wrong pizza the first time, he would not have walked around several times looking lost). The other thing I must say is completely odd about this place is that you have to ask for plates and silverware, when I went there was nothing set out so we had to ask. Its not even something they bring right away and if you do not ask for it, they will not bring it. The part baffled me and still does, I seriously think they should re-evaluate the system they have in place because its not working out very well. The deliciousness of the pizza makes it 3 stars, otherwise it would be 2.

Carbs and craft beer after a day of hiking, YES, please. Maybe it was the 9 mile hike we just finished or the fact that nowhere else was really open and we had absolutely no energy to go back to our campsite, start a fire, and cook dinner, but my best friend and I found Degnan’s Loft to be a lifesaver. We tried the veggie pizza and cheesy bread. Both were made especially tasty by our extreme hunger, exhaustion and the fact that Degnan’s had a bottle of Sriracha to spice things up. I also loved that they had craft beers… not just bottled, but on draught. An ice cold IPA has never tasted so good in my life. Thank you Degnan’s Loft for a perfect end to an incredible day exploring the glorious Yosemite.

Best bet in Yosemite for cheap eats. This is the same place as «Degnan’s PIzza» as reviewed elsewhere. There are no signs for Degnan’s Pizza, so look for Degnan’s Loft. While the Loft is only open for dinner and can be tough to find if the signs aren’t up, it’s the best spot for pizza in the valley. The Loft is upstairs from Degnans Deli and store located near the Visitor’s Center in the valley. Head to the stairs inside the right side of the building. As a pizza snob from the Chicago area, I have eaten a lot of crappy pizza all over the world. The Loft is very good, and way better than expected for a National Park. The crust is basically thin with a NY-style edge. They offer lots of toppings and use decent cheese. The pizzas we had were both cooked properly and tasted great. We were the first customers that day, so I was impressed. Sodas are self serve with free refills! Yes, free refills in a National Park. That alone recommends this place. Best of all, the prices are not out of line. For 1 small, 1 medium and 2 drinks, the tab was $ 32. No bargain certainly, but a refreshing change from $ 6 junk cheeseburgers. Recommended.
