We will be coming back! Excellent hair cut for my 2 year old son. He was not afraid when he was in that fun car! You did a great job and we will frequent your business often.

I was a bit cautious to take my daughter in to get her hair trimmed because I didn’t want to much taken off. But Kimber was patient and showed me how much she was going to take off and explained everything along the way. She showed me some cute hairstyles to keep my daughters bangs out of her eyes and educated me on this awesome lice prevention line. They were very busy so I can understand why you need to make an appointment. Going to take my daughter back to get her ears pierced when dad finally gives in.

Best place for children and adults! The staff is extremely friendly, patient with children, and work hard to make the children feel comfortable. I would not being my kids anywhere else. You will always have those handful of people who don’t like a place, but this place hands down is the best!

After calling ahead, I brought my 3 & 4 year olds in for a 5pm appointment. I arrived at 5:04p to be told that the people who had walked in and were waiting were taking our appointment time. This is a children’s salon. 4 minutes past a scheduled appointment at dinner time and I get told they will do us later. No thank you, I will take my business elsewhere. And to the people who took our appointment, I think you made the wrong choice as well.

Daughter loves getting her hair cut and styled here and it’s a completely pain free experience for everyone all around. The ladies that work here are top notch.

My 2 year old son is notoriously terrible during haircuts. He screams and cries the entire time, yet the staff here always seem to be able to give him a really nice haircut. I really appreciate their patience with him!

I was scared to get my daughter her first haircut. She is 4 and has long curly beautiful hair. I picked this place because I drove by it in the past. I called and asked prices and how it worked. By the time we left we had gotten a princess haircut (trim) lol, that was put into bows, glitter and just done so pretty. A first haircut card with a piece of her hair. Her ears pierced so cute and all the products we needed. Next time we will add the nails and toes getting painted. I was thrilled with this business :) Thanks for making it easier to get her cut done for a hesitant mommy!

Heather did an awesome job for my child’s first haircut!

My daughter had her first hair cut here by Debbie several months ago. IT was a great experience. Debbie was nice, knowledgeable, and patient. She even saved some locks of hair and put them on a little card that said what date her first hair cut was. It was really cute and went straight into the baby book.
The cost of a haircut, without a coupon, is a bit steep (19.00 for a child — considering there isnt much styling involved) but you really get great service. They have very very very patient hairdressers who are trained to cut hair while kids are squirming, crying, and generally being, well, kids. We have been back two more times for free bang trims, (if you get the normal hair cut there)
Yesterday we went in and Jordan cut my daughters hair. She was also very sweet and really listened to what I asked for. She spoke to my daughter like a real person and tried to engage with her.
The salon is really cute, the kids get to pick out what car «seat» they get to sit in and they have tvs on with kids shows on. When done, they get to pick out something from the treasure box and are offered a sucker if ok with the parents. There are also toys in the waiting area if you have a sibling coming along.
My daughter gets excited when I tell her she is getting a hair cut now.
I just really appreciate that they dont act annoyed and are very patient with kids, even the squirmy ones. Both Debbie and Jordan just worked with my 2 year old wiggling daughter and still managed to give her a beautiful cut.
This will be .the place I continue to bring my daughter too for all of her haircuts. I do plan on finding coupons to lower the price a bit. There are a lot of 3.00 off coupons out there — just have to look for them in community values magazine and such.
We always make appointments but I think you can walk in too.

I was very disappointed with the service at the Tumwater Jack & Jill’s Children’s Salon. My daughter’s hair was getting damaged due to swimming so much and the hair stylist recommended a shampoo and conditioner for her to use that would help. After following the hair stylist’s directions and using it religiously, it did nothing to help her hair. I went to return it for a full refund and they would not give me $ 40 cash back, but instead would only give me store credit. The owner Heather, who was on vacation, would still not agree to cash back after the manager phoned her. Do these places not guarantee their products? Their only defense was it is store policy? What is the rationale? Terrible customer service. I wish I would have not listened to their recommendation because clearly they do not know what they are talking about and are scamming people out of money.

I’ve been several times and generally I’m pretty happy when I leave. This is the only place my son will sit still for a hair cut (twerp). The flat screen TV’s playing very appropriate shows and the cool retro vehicle chairs are great. I’ve walked out with a few iffy haircuts that took way to much off but the staff was willing to fix the mistake at a later time. I’ve also gone when they were highly overbooked with just one stylist, they also fixed that problem with a discount. Overall it’s a great place I just don’t go very often because I have trouble with $ 17 for what is essentially a buzz cut.

Erin did a fantastic job on our son’s first haircut. I was worried about it looking choppy since it is so so light but it did not! Super fun place complete with quads and Barbie cars to sit in/on…cartoons (which was a treat for our son since we don’t watch much tv at home), friendly receptionist and reasonable prices. We’ll be back and I will be telling my friends and family about Erin!
