The store owner, Paul, and his employees are very helpful in a non-pushy kind of way. They give you space to just browse if you want to. The rug collections are absolutely amazing! Great quality and selection. They have a very large selection of kilim pillows, as well. The problem is, after I bought my first few wool pillows from them, I had a massive moth infestation that destroyed hundreds of dollars worth of woolens in my house. At the time didn’t link it to the pillows I bought from Old World Imports. But a couple years later,(in Dec 2015), I went back to purchase a few more pillows. I searched through the piles of beautiful textiles and a patient employee helped me choose. When I brought my selection up the the counter, I noticed something moving in the wool. I looked closer and it was a little worm. It was the larva of a clothes moth!!! :-(. When I suggested that I buy from a different pile, the employee said that wouldn’t make a difference as they’re all in the same store!!! Needless to say, I put two and two together and left the store with all due haste(sans pillows). *THEN, the store owner tracked me down through all the booths at the holiday fair in crowded Tubac so he could give me back my water bottle, which I had left on the counter. Really nice of him! Those clothes moths can spread through your house without your noticing as they only fly around in the dark; they can be a major problem in southwest Arizona. So my advice is this: if you want to buy from these kind people, who have a great selection of rugs from around the world, inspect your item very carefully before you buy it. Then treat it with permethrin, lay it in the sun, whack the whole thing with a rug beater quite frequently; and most importantly don’t place any furniture over your wool rug, because that’s where the little buggers do the most damage. They like dark, undisturbed woolens, so place your rug in a high traffic area and clean it often.
