Visited this salon for the first time today and I absolutely loved it! Karen, my hairstylist this afternoon, came out to greet me and gave me a little tour of the place. The atmosphere of this salon is so fun and vibrant! It’s open and I just love the floor plan. The shampooing area is closed off as its own seperate room which I really appreciate. They give amazing head and neck messages during your shampoo as well. BONUS! Karen was so friendly and accommodating! I initially came in for a trim but she recommended the Awapuhi treatment(which required me to sit under the dryer for only ten minutes + she offered me a nice little beverage while I waited) that left my hair feeling so soft and flowy. I asked her to point cut and thin out my hair as well and she did exactly what I asked for without hesitation. Overall, an amazing experience! I especially recommend this place if you haven’t found a quality salon that offers excellent service, not to mention with a cute staff! All the girls(and the one guy I saw) there were spunky and adorable! (If you’re reading this, thanks again, Karen!)

I recently went to Walk Ins and had an excellent experience. Whitney cut my hair and I just love her. She listened to what I was wanting and made sure to clarify with me so there were no «uh oh!» moments. The staff is friendly and personable. Plus the neck and shoulder rub during the shampooing is a wonderful touch! Definitely found my salon in Tulsa!

So, so, so good. The people are friendly and professional. The interior design is fun. The price is right. And the haircut is exactly what I wanted. I saw Amanda.

This was my second trip to this location. My first experience was fine — I have long hair & just took a few inches off, cleaned it up, nothing spectacular. Overall experience was decent enough for me to call yesterday to see if they had any openings. Sure enough, they fit me in with someone new. I can’t say anything bad about her personality. She was extremely friendly & personable. I explained to her that I wanted to cut 2 or 3 inches off, which would’ve still kept me a few inches below shoulder-length. My hair was all one-length, so I explained that since I like to use a curling wand for«beach waves», I’d like some long layers as well. Simple enough, right? Apparently not. Pre-blow dry, it was shorter than I’d wanted it, but okay enough for me to let it go. Post-dry, she proceeded to add«layers» and«texturize». What a disaster. At one point, I could see a strange look on her face & I knew that she’d made a mistake. I turned to the side and was horrified. she was attempting to layer and had cut off a HUGE chunk of my hair – it basically looks as though I have a chin length bob on the right side of my head, then the back is long like a mullet? I expressed concern, so she said she was going to get a «director» to come fix it. The director shows up, snips it so it doesn’t look so drastic. Yeah, okay. I was pretty much in shock when I walked out, hair ABOVE my shoulders with some strange bob-mullet on one side of my head. I am a non-confrontational person, so of course I walked out without expressing my disappointment — that is my own fault, I guess. It’s just bad when EVERYONE I know that I’ve come in contact with since yesterday(husband, mother, co-workers) either says, «You PAID for that??» or «It’ll grow out, sweetie» or «That’s what you get for paying $ 20 for a haircut». I just think that they should monitor the stylists better, especially if they are new. I could’ve gotten a better cut by my 3rd grader :(

This was pretty much my ideal salon experience. Zero pretense. My stylist was Heather. She gave me a tour and explained the Walk in Salon ‘experience’. I changed into a robe and we sat down to talk about what I wanted from my haircut. She was very receptive to talking about the cut that I had in mind vs what would work best for my hair. One of the highlights of the experience was the shampoo room – an enclosed and spa-like area that accommodates the neck/shoulder massage. It was fannnntastic! In the end, I had an amazing, couldn’t-be-better haircut, learned a few tricks of the trade(like how to style around my cowlick) and felt relaxed. Looking forward to my next appointment!

This salon is SO needed for the South Tulsa area. Yes the cuts are only $ 20, yes they are completely worth it considering you get massage, cut and full style. The salon décor is fun and new for Tulsa. The stylists are friendly, non judgmental and are not pushy when it comes to products. If I ask, my girl will tell me what she used in my hair, and she isn’t giving me a whole lecture about how I should by it(unlike Supercuts down the street). I recommend seeing Danielle. She is the master stylist/manager so her cuts are $ 50, but worth every penny. She literally works magic. She smoothes and styles my hair in a way like I’ve never seen before and I cannot recreate at home(guess that’s why she is the professional). If you go to places like ihloff you pay $ 75 for a cut that’s not even comparable to Danielle. So if you have the means, splurge and book her. I love this Salon and have followed Danielle for a few years between salons and I have NEVER gotten a haircut I wasn’t pleased with.
