Sometimes we just need to go to a Waffle House and get a pecan waffle, watch the inbreeding folks that are there at every location around the country. And for that I recommend this location and Gadson Alabama as the best!

C’mon … Puh-​leeze! Waffle House with a five star rating?!
Let’s get real here. This is a greasy spoon breakfast diner. The best parts are that it’s cheap, fast and the cooks and waitstaff are unintentionally hilarious.
That said, we go a couple of times a month to the WH at another Tulsa location, as much for the entertainment as for the slide-​down-​the-​gullet food. Oh, and no Waffle House EVER accepts credit cards or checks. It’s cash only, baby!

I’m a northerner. I had only heard mythical tales of Waffle Houses lurking beneath the Mason-​Dixon divide. I visited this roadside diner in the wee hours with some drunken companions. We had breakfast. It was perfect. Be sure to get pecans in your waffle batter. Be sure.
