I took my daughter to see Dr. Monks. The office staff was very courteous and the nurse and doctor addressed our needs promptly and professionally.

My first visit the nurses and doctor seemed very impersonal. They seemed more concerned with getting me in and out and when I mentioned wanting to discuss acutane they went straight to the paperwork to prep for it without hesitation. Although this may seem nice, this was my first ever visit to this doctor and he didn’t take even a second to get to know me or my history before giving me what I wanted. Since this is such an intense treatment I have to get monthly labs done. I went to get my second set of labs done, going on the precise date my doctor’s nurse informed me to. The next day I get a call from the nurse telling me that the labs were run two days too early, admitting it was her fault and sent me to have labs run again. When I go back to get the labs run again I noticed that she listed for me to have an additional test which wasn’t necessary. If I wouldn’t have known better I would have wasted an extra $ 60. Not only did she mess up the lab orders, she insisted that even though it was her mistake they would not be able to reimburse me for having to run the labs again. This bad business has cost me extra time and money and I’ve only just started using their services.
