Probably one if the best spots for sushi around the mid town area. Clean and neat place. Staff and service definitely the best I’ve had in a long time. Will be definitely go back!

Sushi alley came recommended to us. We were not impressed. Service was slow selection was narrow and food was subpar.

Great food, good craft beer selection, very good prices. Make reservations if you’re going on the weekend since the space is small. The atmosphere is calming and the staff are wonderful.

Not as good as I expected being at Utica Square and the price paid. Service was so-so and it look like they really trying to get a pretentious trendy crowd rather than getting the food right. There was nothing spectacular on the menu making it a must visit place. Not a bad place just not a very good place and certainly not worth the pain in the ass drive to Utica Square.

I have frequented most of the popular sushi restaurants in town and I must say that I was slightly disappointed with this place. Had lunch there today and was served tepid water without ice. We were given miso soup compliments of the chef but it was less than tasty. I ordered two rolls that I am very familiar with but only ate one since they use goat cheese rather than cream cheese. Their menus do not specify what ingredients are on/in each roll so we had to ask about each one that interested us just by its name. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this sushi restaurant again and wouldn’t recommend it.

Terrible service, took 2 hours to get 2 rolls. Never refilled drinks, spent 90 dollars and stopped by braums to get 2 three dollar cheeseburgers to fill up. Will never go back, in the raw is 100 times better!

I will start by saying I stumbled upon this place mainly just because I had to work until 9 and they were open until 10. That being said we were misinformed so when we got there at 9:30 they politely informed me it was a mistake BUT stayed open because they said it was their fault. That alone is reason enough for atleast a few stars. I loved the inside and ambience. Very modern but not pretentious. Our waiter(I may have this wrong… Bad with names!) Chris was extremely polite and patient given the circumstances. The sushi was amazing and soup was on the house! We didn’t feel rushed or hurried but I did try to quickly eat. :p great service and friendly employees. Will go between regular hours very soon!

The theme of ‘special’ resonates through my entire experience here. From the ambiance, to the staff and above all — the food. Carrying this theme over, it was fitting to celebrate my husband’s birthday here this week. Reading previous reviews, I made sure a reservation was made for a 7:00PM slot on a Monday. There was definitely room to just walk-in but I’m glad I called just in case. The space is spotless, modern and so cool. The ceilings kind of create a dome with wooden beams showing the skeleton. The lighting was my favorite feature of the décor. Overall, it’s dimly lit with some accents of ‘mood lighting’ that reflected to make the ceiling a different color consistently. We started out with the edamame hummus which came with soft pita bread and a few slices of peppers which was a fantastic alternative to traditional edamame. The hummus was light and flavored well. We split the single serving of this and practically licked the plate! For our entrée of sushi, we had the Hot Mess, California and Sushi Alley roll. The Hot Mess wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be but nonetheless it provided an adventurously delicious roll. The California rolls were massive! On a regular day, I would just order this and it would fill me up well. The Sushi Alley Roll was my favorite. The chef recommend to not use soy sauce but rather the aioli mayo and a piece of a basil leaf. Need I say more?

Nice clean place with a contemporary feel. Service was awesome. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious but the rolls are too small for the price. Other than that it’s good.

Sushi Alley is a great little sushi joint in Utica Square that I can’t recommend enough to people! The food is great and they use fresh, high quality ingredients. The staff is always friendly and knows the menu well. If you’re going on a weekend night make sure you make a reservation so you don’t miss out!

«Oh em gee, I loooove soosh, totes magotes, for surrre sister. Like, every time I go, I get the BEST roll. I don’t really know what’s in it, other than cream cheese, but they fry it, and then smother it in spicy sauce, and then top it with crispy stuff. Oh and I always ask for lady bites, I have a petite mouth. Like, sooooo effin’ good, for real.» Unfortunately, we all know someone like this. Someone who, despite the fact that they don’t particularly care for fish, tries to convince everyone that they enjoy sushi because it’s hip? trendy? healthy? … who the hell knows. Then they proceed order some abomination of a roll, fry and smother it in so much sauce that it might as well be taco bell at that point. Well, Sushi Alley has had enough, and decided to give these«sushi lovers» the finger and stick to the principles that make Japanese cuisine great in the first place: simple, clean, fresh. You won’t find any cream cheese or deep fryers here, Sushi Alley is doing things their way, and it’s fantastic — assuming you’re not the person referenced in the first paragraph. With such a focus on fresh, high quality ingredients, you really can’t go wrong with anything that they have to offer. The menu is divided up into salads and small apps(zensai), robata style grilled items, nigiri/sashimi, and rolls(maki). It’s a very simple, straightforward menu — which is refreshing, because it can get annoying reading through every single roll /ingredient on a sushi menu full of unnecessary, well… for lack of a better word: shit. Salads: Do yourself a favor and order the tazmanian salmon, then thank me later. This beautifully marbled fatty salmon is seared just slightly and served in a delicious ponzu-like sauce with microgreens. Yes, this is eyes-roll-back-into-the-back-of-your-head inducing good. Zensai: We tried the tuna tataki, a beautifully seared tuna served with a citrusy avocado-wasabi mash. Seared tuna is amazing by itself, but the kick of the wasabi compliments it perfectly. Grill: I hate to keep beating a dead horse with these seared menu items… but the scallops with yuzo kosho were seared perfectly as well(apparently they know what they’re doing). Nice slight crispness to the outside and absolutely melt when you bite into them — seasoned perfectly with the yuzu kosho — similar to a seven spice seasoning with more citrus kick. Nigiri: Red snapper nigiri. Try it. This is not tilapia — which you’ll typically find labeled as «red snapper» in most sushi restaurants. This is the real deal — served over fluffy sushi rice with thin slice of lemon, fresh mint, and finished with coarse sea salt — don’t ruin this with soy sauce, it’s perfect as is. Maki: The Taz roll was great — I’ve never considered using fresh dill on a roll but it works perfectly with the fresh salmon, clean and refreshing. We also tried another roll with thinly sliced avocado and fresh jalapeño on top drizzled in a ponzu style sauce. The spice of this roll was great and balanced nicely with the citrus of the ponzu. Lastly we got to try something by the name of mile high chocolate pie for dessert. One bite and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s a chocolate crumble, topped by a chocolate ganache, topped with a chocolate mousse, topped with a berry compote. One more bite. No no, I’m so full. Ok, one more bite. So full. Last bite, I swear. *Licks empty plate* It’s a real treat to experience great Japanese cuisine, but unfortunately for those of us in Oklahoma, these places tend to be too few and far between. Luckily we now have an answer: Sushi Alley. Om. Nom. Nomalicious. Overall Grade: A

I love sushi and I love Sushi Alley! Fabulous and inventive. Fish totally fresh. I asked the chef/owner, Greg Bossler, to make a variety for our threesome. He took it over the top! Rolls were incredible; tuna, salmon, eel; & crab offerings were sensational! I’m visiting from Tampa, Fl and had the kind of meal that I expect when I’m food binging in NYC! Don’t pass up this place when in Tulsa! Bravo Greg!!!

My girlfriend and I had heard good things about Sushi Alley so we decided to give it a try on NYE. It was a wonderful experience. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered three rolls– all of which were excellent. Each roll had a very distinct flavor and was made with noticeably fresh ingredients. I can’t wait to return to try the rest of the menu. The service was outstanding. Greg, the owner, greeted us at the door and led us to our seats, where we watched the sushi chefs prepare dishes that were as good on the eyes as they were the palate. Our waitress was friendly and did an excellent job. Before we left, we were treated to a plate of chocolates from Tulsa’s Glacier Confection and a cup of Topeka coffee, which was served in an small French press. It was a perfect finish to our meal. If you’re in the mood for sushi and trying to decide where to go, give Sushi Alley a shot — it will exceed your expectations.

Greg Bossler is the driving force behind this new Sushi bar in Utica Square. If you eat sushi in Tulsa, you’ve probably tasted his work before. He worked at In the Raw and was executive chef at Yokozuna. More than any of his previous stops, this is his place. His craft and passion for sushi shine through on every menu item. If you are ready for a real treat order«omakase.» This puts Greg and his staff in complete control of the meal. We had an eleven course feast with dishes we had never tried — all showcasing different flavors. This is a intimate setting. I advise reservations if you plan to arrive after 7 on a weekend. I also recommend you introduce yourself to the chefs. They will reward you by tailoring your meal to your likes and tastes.

AMAZING. This just became my favorite sushi place in all of Tulsa. We started with edamame hummus, and yes, it’s as awesome as it sounds. Tried the Sweetheart Roll(topped with avocado & strawberries), the Taz roll(salmon, lemon, dill), and Sushi Alley roll, which is hands down THEBEST sushi roll I’ve ever had. The ambiance is beautifully minimalist. Our service was perfect. The food was perfect. This was a great dining experience and I can’t wait to go back!
