OK I get it! Some Hispanics want«their store» even though some prices on fruit, bread and meat are higher than Reasors. This store is a combo grocery store, small restaurant, meat market and snack shop! I enjoyed my Elotes cup of corn… she shucked the fresh corn cob right in front of me! Sm Elotes $ 3.00, my new fav in Tulsa

This is the place to go for ANYTHING related to Hispanic food! The little café is great too.

Unfortunately this place is in the middle of a bad area. The cool thing is, a lot of the meat is of great quality. Meat you can get cheaper if not fresher than whole foods. Yes I realized that people with Whole foods market income probably won’t come here, but if you’re trying to ride the hipster band wagon, this place is definitely not main stream. They also have a restaurant inside that serves very authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend it if you can get past the culture clash.

Super mercado Morelos is a Mexican superstore, something like Walmart, but with Mexican goodies. This locations parking lot has been recently renovated, which is awesome because it used to be a mess before. They have a meat market, freshly baked sweet bread area,(2 for $ 1 and extremely yummy and fluffy. I recommend the chocolate shaped pigs, the ‘conchas’, the pineapple filled strudel things, and the regular bread rolls.) 2 little mini restaurants located in store(they have the menu on the wall and you order through the window. They also have some dinning tables. Very cheap authentic Mexican dishes and drinks, such as their $ 2 large Horchata which I recommend. I love the mini ‘snack’ restaurant. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from there. Prices range from $ 2 – 6.) they have there shelves staked with Mexican cookies, pastries, candy, etc., they have fresh fruit,(some of this fruit you can’t find anywhere else.) they have a freezer of all types of drinks, American and Mexican beer, and at the cash register they have Mexican beauty products, lotions, etc. It is a really cool store if you are looking for an authentic Mexican feel.

This friendly little supermarket is my go to for fresh baked pastries, cookies and unique breads. it’s located just south of I 44 Highway on Peoria. Every morning you can smell the fresh cookies and breads being baked. Some of my favorites are the low sugar gingerbread piglet cookies(picture attached) tres leches and yellow mini cake loafs. As you would expect this market has all the traditional Mexican supplies, fruits, meats and fried pork ears! Their fresh made guacamole and tomatillo salsa’s are a great price. Swing by there little café and get some City Tacos and an imported bottle of Coke. I love this friendly, clean, bilingual market.

I always grab a torta from the food counter here. It’s delicious and I crave them frequently. So much so, I think the guy at the counter has my order memorized. The tres de leches cake is amazing as well.
