Please note, this address shown here on Unilocal is the old address! Don’t be like me and go there only to be disappointed. Head over to 39th and Peoria instead. I love this place! The store has everything you could need to add to your running habit. The staff is so well versed and friendly. The owner, Kathy, knows her stuff as she’s been a runner for several decades now. I also joined the running training club here. For $ 25, compared to $ 90 at Fleet Feet, you are in a 4 month training program with a running coach, provided a shirt, and all the snacks you could want after a long group run on Saturday mornings. The camaraderie is amazing. It’s like my little haven here in Tulsa that I can escape to. Do yourself a favor and get your bum here now!

RunnersWorld is a locally-owned running store in Tulsa. It has pretty much ANYTHING you need when it comes to running — from the initial shoe-fitting to the foam rollers you’ll need for recovery. However, what REALLY sets this place apart, in my opinion, is its training program. I signed up for my first marathon this year and decided to try a running group(Who wants to run 20+ miles by themselves?!). RunnersWorld’s training program is really affordable — $ 25, which includes a tech shirt + weekly runs + snacks and drinks during the runs. The«goal race» for the fall training program was the Route 66 Marathon, which was perfect for me. For the long runs, we pretty much ran the Route 66 Marathon course. On race day, I was AMAZED at how much of a difference it made. I knew when to prepare myself for the annoying hills. I knew when we were about to turn and where we were turning, so I could get on the right side early. Our run leaders were also amazingly nice and encouraging the whole way though. RunnersWorld, I’m a fan. I’ll see you in 2 weeks for Spring training!

If you’re a runner and training for a big ol’ race, running does consume most of your world. This is a great haven of people who understand you and your thought process of when it’s nice outside and all you can think of is «I need to be running». There is a massive wall of different kinds of running shoes and the staff is so knowledgable of the products. They’ll put you in the absolute perfect pair of shoes for you. The workout clothes to shop through are good. The women’s section has a lot of girls running gear with lots of bright colors and patterns. Runners, be thankful for this world.
