Best Mexican bakery in Tulsa. Love the yummy smells of bread as I walk in the door. This location is their biggest one, I wonder if they rent the space out for events. They have a huge seating area. In case you’ve never been before, you just take one of their trays located by the entrance and a tong and grab anything you might like from the displays. Walk over to the counter and they’ll ring you up as they bag everything. The variety of items is pretty impressive. They have white bread(bolillos, cuernitos, pan frances) and sweet bread(almejas, barquillos, bombones, cacahuates, canastas, cochinitos, churros, danes azucarados, donas, empanadas, emparedados, galletas de gragea, gaznates, girasoles, mantecadas, moños, orejas, triangulos de polvorones, conchas). If you’re not familiar with Mexican bread that list probably means nothing to you but for someone that might be homesick, this means the world every once in a while. I wish they had labels for their bread but it might be hard to maintain since they switch out what they bake regularly. You’ll be able to get entire bags full of good stuff for a ridiculously cheap price. Their cakes are pretty legit too(choco-flan and tres leches). Pretty reasonable prices for them as well. I love that you don’t have to buy an entire cake to satisfy a sweet craving. You can try their single cups or slices. Employees are always super nice and even let you know when the next batch of bread is coming out so you’ll take it home warm. They seem to really enjoy working there and they have fun(check out their facebook videos). I always see the same people so low turnover… must be a good sign of good management. I wish they had wheat bread(specifically wheat conchas) but I’ll take what I can get. They also have Mexican candy by the register as well as an assortment of Mexican products(including dairy products) towards the front. This is where my Mexican cravings come to die.

I’ve been to a few panaderias throughout Oklahoma and Texas(not a huge sample size admittedly) and so far, this one is my absolute favorite one. They have a fantastic selection of freshly baked goods, including loaves of bread. I have tried many items and have yet to be disappointed in any of them. The pan dulce is not as sweet as one might expect from an American dessert, which I really like. Be sure to get a churro filled with vanilla or strawberry, those are located behind the counter. Grab a glass bottle of coke and enjoy the taste delights that are sure to follow. The prices are great too. We stopped in recently and left with four bags full of sweets for less then ten bucks. It’s amazing. The people that work there are very sweet and are always pleasant. I may be wrong but I think they have moved to Garnett just south of Admiral. Perhaps there are two? Either way, please go check it out. I do not think you will be disappointed.
