The moment I walked through the door I was hit with the aroma of fresh baked goods! They have so much sweets to choose from. The ladies behind the counter are so attentive and ready to help get your sweet fix on! On this day we picked lots of macarons! I’ve been trying to find macaroons here in Tulsa and I’m so such a happy panda now that I know this bakery is here! I picked out the lavender which was actually pretty tasty. I’m so use to Mozart bakery in Texas that this place can’t compare to it. I do like my sweets but I think these macaroons are too sweet for my liking but that’s just me. The shell is very well made though! My fiancé has been raving about those sausage rolls we I tried them and man it is so good! It’s like a kolache that I would get in Texas but bigger! Over all it’s a cute bakery and since we know it’s so close to us we will definitely be back for more!

Had a red velvet cake and cake pops for a birthday. It was nothing special. Tasted similar to something you’d get at a grocery store.

Really impressed with the size and selection at this bakery. I had no idea it would be so big judging from the exterior. I popped in to order a birthday cake. The process was a bit awkward because the lady taking my order was just asking me what I wanted without showing me what the options were. Sort of like when you go to a restaurant and they don’t have a beer list.(Ex: «What flavor filling would you like?» «Well, what flavors do you have?» «We have x, y, z, xx, yy, etc.) I wish the lady had done a better job of showing me all the options so I would have come up with something special instead of just chocolate/vanilla. The cake itself looked exactly as expected, and the birthday«writing» was quite pretty. I personally felt like it tasted a bit grocery store because the icing was so sweet, but the lady had previously assured me that they make their own buttercream. I picked up a soup/sandwich combo while getting the cake, and it was not bad. My soup was delicious. Chicken salad was delicious but very little chicken and very stingy amount on my ½ sandwich. Loved that you got a slice of cake with your lunch and I didn’t see that advertised when I ordered. I’d go back to Merritt’s for cake orders, but in the future I would try to research in advance exactly what I wanted in terms of decoration, etc. I would also specifically ask for a flavor list, as I know one exists.

Everything is pretty much typical grocery store bakery quality. The cookies and donuts are nothing you can’t get at walmart. They used to be so much better. This is what happens when a small bakery does a great job with great goods, then expands to multiple locations and the quality suffers greatly. Too bad. On the other hand this does leave room for new startups that are up and coming to take their place for superior baked goods. You can even tell from the pictures posted on here from the glowing reviews that the quality is just not there anymore.

Jessa is quite the cake expert. Very friendly and helpful. They have options such as cup cakes or round cakes, pan cakes, big cakes. My favorite part about this experience is we had no line and got this cake experience completed swiftly. This place is clean also. And free wifi.

Very enjoyable environment. Friendly, helpful staff, tons of fresh baked items, short but sufficient lunch menu, and custom cakes can be ordered. Large inside area with a handful of tables. But there is still plenty of seating as most folks seem to get their orders to go. Very good, fresh bread for the lunch sandwiches and you get a piece of cake with your order. How can you pass that up? Give it a try, I think you’ll like it. Enjoy!

Their variety of donuts were phenomenal, and just as tasty as the variety!

We are traveling to Missouri for Christmas and we stopped in Tulsa for night. I love bakery’s so I looked for one near the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I found Merritt’s Bakery and we decided to try it. VERY good choice! The bakery is very clean and kept up and the bakers cases are full of delicious looking cakes pies cookies doughnuts muffins and more! I got a apple muffin and my husband got a old fashioned maple doughnut. The muffin was very moist and my husband loved his doughnut! We will definitely stop by Merritt’s Bakery again when we drive through Tulsa!

My husband and I have been in many times. I am giving them one star due to a nut problem/staff problem. I have an allergic to tree nuts and peanuts. We have been in many times and asked the sales person if something had nuts in it and we were no. We will get home with a box full of goodies to find out 2 – 5 items have nuts and since everything has been placed in one box… We have to TRASH everything in the box! I’m very upset over it and not even sure why I keep going! So disappointing!

Merritt’s South Tulsa location is just as impressionable as the original. I actually preferred the South location. It was a little cleaner and the workers were friendlier. Merritt’s is great because they have everything laid out in front of you in their glass cases. Whether its a breakfast sandwich, pastry, donut, or dessert item, I’ve never been let down. Check them out for a quick breakfast or dessert.

This is a great little stop for a sweet treat in Tulsa. I like the cherry cheese crazy 8 pastries, but they’re usually sold out when I’m there. My kids love the frosted sugar cookies, but they can be dry and not fresh, as I found out on our last trip. I’ll be asking when they’re made next time. I also like the fingerprint cookies. My husband likes the white chocolate pecan cookies, but they were dry last time too. Overall, a pretty decent place to visit.

Not that long ago, I wrote a review of Merritt’s which focused not on its delicious products, but on what I felt was a questionable corporate policy. Without rehashing the negative, I am very happy to report that the ownership of Merritt’s has proved to be quite responsive to my concerns and has made changes that will further its position as a bakery interested in serving the very best to all Tulsans. (In fact, I just learned Merritt’s delivered a «new start» cake to a group that previously had been upset with its policies. It was gratefully accepted, I’m told, and quickly consumed!) Now, along with having the chewiest, tastiest cookies and the most scrumptious pastries and moist cakes, it also has demonstrated it really listens to its customers. What a dynamite combination! With four locations in Tulsa and Owasso, special treats aren’t far away.

I was an out of town-er hosting a bridal shower in which none of the bridesmaids offered to help. Thankfully, Merritt’s came to the rescue. The bakery is HUGE and looks brand new. They have a separate room for wedding cakes and a separate room for parties, or as their website says, Bible studies. The main room has tons and tons of seating and at least five large pastry cases. I dealt with Kim and she was great. She helped me get everything in order from long distance and even made suggestions. I ended up getting a breakfast tray(with delish danishes) and cupcakes. They were super cute, iced in white with purple flowers and two sliver linked wedding bands. They tasted great too, although a little sugary. My only disappointment was the lack of communication the day of. I had to continually go out and ask for things like knives, cream cheese, cups, etc. And I had asked for the food to arrive at 10:00. They said it would be there on the truck at 10:30(I guess they don’t make it there?) and I had to go ask for it at 10:50 when my guests started arriving. The other bummer… I found a hair in my cupcake. I took the hairy cupcake and the ladies apologized and offered me another one, which was nice. But… ew. Overall, while the pace of everything here differs from my bakeries in Chicago, I was happy with my experience. They don’t do 3-D cakes or mini cupcakes and their quotes for flat shaped cakes were pricey even by Chicago standards. But my friend from Tulsa says this is her favorite bakery… and I’m sure if I lived there I would be at Merritt’s a lot!
