Well after a afternoon of Christmas shopping I found myself hungry and decided to try out Los 3 Amigos located in a ugly shopping strip at 41st and Memorial. The outside windows of the restaurants were wildly painted and had the phrase«Tulsa’s most fantastico Tex Mex». The inside was pretty lame and didn’t do much for the atmosphere in the restaurant. They happened to be closing down the lunch buffet when I arrived. Which was fine with me because nothing looked all that great on it. Carne Asada Burrito– Wrapped in a grilled fresh 14″ tortilla and stuffed with beans, rice, onions, cilantro, salsa, and carne asada this burrito was packed with flavor. While the burrito was fantastic it had too much bean and not enough rice. The bean to rice ratio wasn’t satisfying. Chicken Chimichanga– Surprisingly delicious. Fried tender tortilla stuffed with chicken, cheese and peppers with warm queso on top the chimichanga was a delight to eat. The chimichanga was tender and didn’t lack in taste. The beans and rice were also good. The chips and salsa that came before the meal were terrific. The chips were different than most mexican restaurants. A little sweet and really crunchy. The salsa was also good. 4 stars for the food. 2 stars for the ambience.
