Many years ago, Tulsa had a wonderful Chinese restaurant called The Pagoda. You could order from a menu, or eat from a a small, but excellent, buffet. On Sundays, there would be a line of people 20 – 30 yards out the door waiting to get in. The Pagoda is long gone, but it’s recipes live on at the Golden Palace. The place is run by the grandson(or is he the great grandson?) of the guy who founded The Pagoda, and he learned the family business well. You can order from the menu, but the buffet is so good that I rarely do. Other reviewers have mentioned the garlic chicken. I’ll just say that if Colonel Sanders had made chicken this good, they would have made him a general. The egg rolls are excellent, too. Tulsa has a number of good Asian restaurants. Golden Palace is one of the best.

This is one of the best«Chinese» restaurants in town, a smaller buffet with high quality items, the best garlic chicken I’ve ever had. I try to go on Wednesdays when their rotating item for the day is curry chicken. Staff is very professional and attentive. Don’t be discouraged by the location the best restaurants are usually not the slickest or the most high profile, their effort goes in the food!

What a surprise this place was. My kids actually asked if we could go there and I was a bit hesitant honestly because of the location. But I decided to give it a try after looking at Unilocal reviews I’m so glad we did. The staff was very friendly and genuine.
We decided to get the buffet, it was a great value(the kids were like five dollars). there’s a small area for salad, dressings, pineapple, pickled okra and egg drop soup. All that is included in the buffet. The buffet itself had plenty of items and a good variety at that. Enough to keep the kids happy too. Give it a try, and support some locals.

I used to eat frequently at Ming Palace at 21st& Yale. When they shut down I figured their recipe was gone. But Golden Palace has the same recipes, it’s unique and delicious. I’m glad I found this place, I’ve only eaten there once but will be a new frequent visitor.

If you remember Ming palace from 21st and Yale, you will love this place. Exact same recipes! No one else in town is like it!

Based on the previous review I visited the lunch buffet. It missed most of the basic expected items. No soup, no wontons, no lomain. The main dishes were horrible, several covered in a brown gravy. Unsure of the meats. Several dishes were empty. The servers were very nice but I will never return here.

If you want a giant superbuffet with dozens of mediocre items, don’t come here. If you want a small buffet with maybe 12 – 14 really good hot fresh items, this is your place. It’s in a strip center(and has been there for as long as I can remember) and it doesn’t look like much on the inside or outside, but it’s always busy at lunch and seems to have a devoted clientele, including me. It seems to be family business with just a few people working there and they are friendly and remember you if you go in often. I think they have the best egg foo yung in town too. Oh and you can order off a menu, but most people get the buffet.
