AVOID THE MENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT AT ERNEST CHILDERS VA CLINIC IN TULSA, OK! After being told that nothing would change if I transfered from one VA to another, this department has zero regard for any other physicians in the same network and specialty. Of the many outstanding people I had the pleasure of meeting, this single department personified the multitude of negative comments constantly posted by veterans because of the way they are talked to and treated by the VA staff. Of all the departments in the clinic, the one that deals with patients having mental insecurities should probably be the one that treats those patients with the most kindness and apathy, in my opinion. Regardless, as one veteran looking out for others, stay away from this department for your own mental wellbeing. Way to go, VA. Continuing to make us all proud.

My dad received care here and was very pleased with his services. He found the staff to be very compassionate and knowledgeable. I went with him to an appointment and agreed with his summation.

This is the VA center in Tulsa Oklahoma. I’ve been bringing my husband here for several years because he is legally blind. We have never had any problems getting appointments nor getting services. The services here are really good. They have given him many tools to help him see better and provide all his prescription medicine. The only problem that we have is the parking. There is never enough parking here. I have heard that they are building a new place and I’m very anxious for that as the parking should improve.

This is the Ernest Childers Outpatient Clinic. I not only work here but receive my health care here as well. Every time I present for an appointment I receive excellent care. The staff is very compassionate and understanding. A lot of the staff are Veterans as well.
